Story
Meet Zelly! Zelly really has quite the story. He came to Hound Dog Holler from Memphis Animal Services and needed help quick. He had skull fractures from being beaten with a shovel. Although this was a sad part of Zelly's life, everything is looking up for him now! He's been at the farm since early May and is enjoying life. Trusting people has taken some time, but he's getting better at it. He does well with other dogs too once he gets to know them. Zelly was born for the farm life. He wants to work with you, hop in the truck, and help you with your chores. He does well around livestock too. If you're interested in Zelly, please reach out and give him the next chapter that he deserves.

Story
Ruger is an adorably energetic dog who enjoys being loved on by adults and kids. He is 5 years old and was rescued when he was 10 weeks old. He gets along with other dogs and loves to cuddle big dogs. We have a toddler at home who has begun having severe allergies, and after many test, the doctor came to the conclusion that his hair is the root issue. We tried adding many air filters, having our vents cleaned, and allergy medicine, but nothing is working and our baby’s health needs to come first. Ruger would do great with a family who can give him love and take him on walks or let him run around in the yard. He enjoys playing fetch with a tennis ball

Story
Harris came into my life after a period of serving shelter dogs while living in New Mexico. After 7 years as my Alabama dog, Harris has grown to love fetch, hiking, evening walks, playing with other dogs, and cuddling up on the couch. Curious, affectionate, patient and calm are the primary words that describe Harris. Harris interacts with cats and dogs quite well, as well as children who can calmly approach and respect him. However, Harris' main flaw can be characterized through his severe separation anxiety, which has been weighing on our family and home/ Unfortunately, our family has come to a point where Harris would be better served by a home that can provide him the attention and love he deserves.

Story
Meet Lucy – The Sweet Black Beauty with a Heart Full of Love   Some dogs spend their whole lives waiting for someone to see how special they are. For Lucy, that moment has finally arrived.   Lucy is a beautiful 6-month-old Lab/Aussie mix currently weighing 32 pounds with a sleek black coat, expressive eyes, and a personality that is impossible not to love. She and her siblings started life in a way no puppy should have to experience—born and left to essentially fend for themselves, they depended on each other for comfort, safety, and companionship. Their bond became their world.   But their story didn't end there. Now safe in a loving foster home, Lucy is discovering a whole new life filled with kindness, routine, affection, and experiences she never had before. Each day she continues to grow more confident and show just how wonderful she truly is.   Lucy is one of the most outgoing of the girls and has a natural ability to connect with people. While some dogs need extra time to understand that love is coming their way, Lucy seems ready to embrace it. She craves affection, loves being close to her people, and happily soaks up every bit of attention she can get. She has the sweetest way of looking at you that makes you feel like you've known her forever   Her glossy black coat gives her a beautiful, elegant appearance, but it's her loving personality that truly makes her shine. Lucy is the kind of dog who wants to be part of your day—whether that means joining you on a walk, relaxing nearby, learning something new, or simply enjoying the comfort of being loved.   An adventurous girl at heart, Lucy absolutely loves walks and exploring the world around her. She also has a special appreciation for water and enjoys any opportunity to splash, play, and have fun. Her Labrador roots shine through in her love of outdoor activities, while her Australian Shepherd heritage contributes to her intelligence, curiosity, and eagerness to learn.   Lucy is a fast learner and thrives when given positive guidance and encouragement. She enjoys figuring things out and wants to please the people she trusts. With her combination of intelligence, affection, and enthusiasm, she has all the makings of a wonderful family companion.   Like all six siblings, Lucy formed a very close bond with her littermates because they were all they had during the beginning of their lives. They depended on each other for confidence and security, but foster care has shown them something beautiful—they can trust people, too. Watching Lucy embrace a routine, experience new things, and grow more comfortable every day has been incredible.   Lucy is ready for a family who will continue to show her what love feels like. In return, she promises to bring laughter, loyalty, adventure, and an endless supply of affection into your life.   If you've been searching for a young dog who is beautiful inside and out, loves adventure, learns quickly, and simply wants to love and be loved, Lucy may be the girl you've been waiting for.   Her forever family is out there, and Lucy is ready to meet them. ##2816223##

Story
Meet Bones! Some dogs just need someone willing to see the world a little differently. Bones is one of those dogs. At just over a year old and around 80 pounds, Bones is a gorgeous Great Pyrenees/Heeler mix with a big heart, a joyful spirit, and a smile that lights up a room. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, on heartworm prevention, and ready to find the family he's been waiting for. Bones is deaf, but don't let that fool you—he is incredibly smart and highly trainable. He already knows hand signals for "come" and "sit" and has shown just how capable he is of learning. He loves people, thrives on interaction, and wakes up every day excited for whatever adventure comes next. Raised by an experienced rescuer, Bones has lived around multiple dogs and has zero history of aggression toward other dogs. He loves canine companionship and enjoys playtime with dogs of various sizes. Because he is a big, enthusiastic boy who doesn't always realize his own size and strength, very tiny or fragile dogs may not be the best fit simply because his play style can be exuberant. Bones has spent much of his life outdoors but is also comfortable spending time indoors when supervised. He adapts well and enjoys being part of the family. Because Bones is deaf, he cannot hear growls, hisses, or other warning signals from animals around him. Unfortunately, there have been incidents involving cats, and he should not be placed in a home with cats or other small animals. This is not a reflection of aggression, but it does mean he needs a home where everyone can be kept safe. The decision to rehome Bones was made with tremendous love and care. He is not a problem dog. He is a special dog who deserves a home that understands his unique needs and appreciates everything that makes him wonderful. If you have a soft spot for dogs who are a little different, a little extraordinary, and completely deserving of a chance, Bones may be exactly the companion you've been looking for. ##2756432##
