Story
Ruger is an adorably energetic dog who enjoys being loved on by adults and kids. He is 5 years old and was rescued when he was 10 weeks old. He gets along with other dogs and loves to cuddle big dogs. We have a toddler at home who has begun having severe allergies, and after many test, the doctor came to the conclusion that his hair is the root issue. We tried adding many air filters, having our vents cleaned, and allergy medicine, but nothing is working and our baby’s health needs to come first. Ruger would do great with a family who can give him love and take him on walks or let him run around in the yard. He enjoys playing fetch with a tennis ball

Story
Meet Finley. When we were asked to help, we expected a small Shih Tzu.Instead...A 60-pound doodle walked through the clinic doors.Or rather... underneath all that neglected hair.As the veterinary team carefully shaved away months (or longer) of painful matting, they made a heartbreaking discovery...His harness was buried beneath the coat.It had become part of the tangled mess.No dog should have to live like that.Today, Finley has a fresh start. He's feeling a little confused. A little scared. Everything in his world has changed in just a few hours. But even through it all...He's been gentle. He's been kind. And everyone who has met him believes the same thing:Finley is going to be an incredible dog.He just needs someone willing to show him what love, comfort, and safety feel like. Finley is looking for a foster or forever home.Help us show him that the rest of his story will be nothing like the beginning. Story
This is George. He is a loving, cuddly and sweet 5 year old, 50lb collie mix. I adopted him from the shelter 4 years ago. He has been a great companion and joy! Unfortunately due to an unknown traumatic past before the shelter, he has some quirks that make it difficult to live in a home with men and children. Due to this I am looking to find George a new loving home that will give him the life he deserves.  He is great with routine! He is very nervous and hesitant with new situations and people. However, he quickly adapts once he knows he is safe. When he is comfortable he is the most loving and sweet boy you could ever ask for. He is a quick learner and picks up on commands after a couple practices.  He loves a comfy bed with lots of blankets, butt scratches, tummy rubs, new squeaky toys, peanut butter and Nylabones! He loves to play in the yard and chase after tennis balls, squirrels and birds.  He would love a home with a steady routine and not too many new people around.

Story
This handsome 4.5 month old puppster is called Boy George and he is what you would call….a character.  A Border Collie mix puppy who is smart and mischievous and a leader in life.  He was born in a litter of 8 puppies around the middle of October and he was the biggest kid in the bunch. He is laidback yet very much an involved pup when it comes to creating dog events that are fun and inquisitive.  He is one that doesn’t back down because he knows that he can win the challenge with his tenacity.  Boy George has conquered all the obligations in his life to learn about housebreaking, crate time and how to walk on a leash with at least a B- rating.  Practice will make perfect when in a family that has more one on one time for him.  He is going to be a 55 pound boy once he is grown.  His Mom is Blue Eyed Kaye and she is a wonderful girl with a happy demeanor and has certainly passed it along to all her sweet offspring.  Boy George is a good pup but he is looking for an even smarter owner that will figure him out before he slips one in on you. He is loving and can be an attention grabber because when you are raised in a pack of 8 siblings, you kind of crave some private time for yourself.  Boy George will be a fun pup to raise and one that will excel at puppy training classes.  At 18 weeks of age and 32 pounds, he is a great size to take on car rides, walks on a trail or  your local neighborhood.  He will welcome new dogs and people to meet and did we mention that he LOVES CATS!   To our Boy George they are just another friend in life!   We will require a home with a securely fenced yard so that this boy can explore and hang out in the great outdoors/backyard.  He is not a digger and he is not a fence climber.  But he is a dog that requires the stimulation both physically and mentally every day.  Teach him things and he will make you a proud dog owner. Someone is looking for a dog like this.  Maybe an only dog in the home or just a great addition because he will be play buddies with anyone.  But always know that you must be the leader of your pack and Boy George.  He craves the boundaries and rules.  He thrives best not having his way and is so moldable.  If interested please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Mention where you live, city and state.  Transport is available to the northeast outside of Tennessee where he is being fostered PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption. Story
Meet Fern! Some dogs are simply waiting for a family. Fern is waiting for her people—the ones she'll happily follow through every adventure life has to offer.Fern is an 8-month-old Border Collie mix, born around the middle of November 2025, and currently weighs 29 pounds. She'll likely mature to around 40 pounds—the perfect size for hiking trails, road trips, neighborhood walks, and curling up at your feet after a day well spent.Fern and her identical sister were adopted together as tiny 6-week-old puppies. Unfortunately, their family realized they couldn't give the girls the time, attention, and exercise they deserve. Now Fern is searching for the forever home she's always deserved. This beautiful black-and-white girl has a sweet, easygoing personality and is happiest when she's included in whatever her people are doing. She loves children, enjoys the company of other dogs, and is always ready for a new adventure. She hasn't met cats yet, though she and her sister have been known to chase chickens—something that may disappear once she's no longer teaming up with her mischievous sibling!Like many Border Collie mixes, Fern is happiest when both her body and her mind are engaged. She'll thrive with daily walks, backyard games, hiking adventures, or even dog sports like agility, flyball, or dock diving. She doesn't need a perfect life—just one where she's loved, included, and given opportunities to learn and explore.Imagine having a loyal companion who's waiting by the door when it's time for a walk, riding shotgun on weekend adventures, making your kids laugh in the backyard, and greeting you with a wagging tail after every workday. That's the life Fern is hoping for—and the life she's ready to give back with endless love and devotion. If you're looking for a best friend to share life's adventures, Fern may be the missing piece you've been searching for.To learn more or request an adoption application, email ccrtennessee@gmail.com and be sure to include your city and state. Story
Meet Artsy Marcy – A Survivor with a Brilliant Mind and an Even Bigger Heart     Artsy Marcy is a beautiful Border Collie mix, around 2 years old and weighing 55–60 pounds. Her life began with unimaginable hardship, yet she has never let her past define her. It is believed that Marcy and her siblings were abandoned in a remote rural area of Tennessee. While trying to survive on their own, tragedy struck when they were hit by a train. Her sister did not survive, and Marcy was left with a severely dislocated hip. Thanks to a compassionate foster who refused to give up on her, Marcy received the surgery and care she desperately needed. Today she has only a slight limp—a small reminder of just how far she has come.     Marcy is everything you would expect from a Border Collie mix: incredibly intelligent, observant, athletic, and eager to be part of whatever her people are doing. She loves hiking, exploring, and would thrive in an active home where she can exercise both her body and her mind. She has a natural herding instinct and enjoys having a job or purpose.   She is wonderful with people and genuinely enjoys human companionship. While she may be a little shy during first introductions, she warms up quickly and forms strong, loyal bonds. Once she trusts you, she is affectionate, devoted, and eager to please.     Marcy has lived around cats, but she does have a prey drive, so any home with cats should be experienced and committed to proper introductions and management. She also does well with some dogs but can be selective about her canine companions. Like many intelligent, confident working breeds, she appreciates respectful introductions and clear leadership. She would do best with an adopter who understands Border Collie personalities and will provide consistent structure, training, and outlets for her energy.     Marcy isn't looking to be just another dog lying quietly in the corner. She is looking for someone who will appreciate her intelligence, celebrate her spirit, and give her the freedom to be the amazing Border Collie mix she was born to be.   Against all odds, this remarkable girl survived when she easily could have been another forgotten statistic. Now she deserves the happy ending she has fought so hard for.   If you'd like to learn more about Artsy Marcy or speak with the foster mom who saved her life, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.     Could you be the person who gives this extraordinary survivor the forever home she's been waiting for?       ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Looking for a dog who's just as excited about a Saturday morning hike as she is about relaxing at your feet afterward? Meet JoJo!This girl pup is an 8-month-old Border Collie mix with striking black-and-white markings and an even more beautiful personality. At 29 pounds, she's expected to grow to around 40 pounds—a wonderful medium size that's ready to jump into the car whenever adventure calls. Her story started with hope when she and her identical sister were adopted as young puppies. Sadly, their family realized they simply didn't have enough time to meet the girls' needs, so JoJo is getting a second chance to find a home where she can truly thrive. She  is a wonderful blend of playful and easygoing. She loves kids, enjoys other dogs, and is always up for exploring somewhere new. She hasn't been introduced to cats yet, and while she and her sister have had a little too much fun chasing chickens together, we suspect that without her partner-in-crime, she may be much more interested in staying close to her people than stirring up barnyard trouble! As a Border Collie mix, JoJo is smart, athletic, and happiest when life includes activity. Daily walks, games in a fenced yard, hiking, camping, trips to the park, or learning new skills will help her shine. She'd likely have a blast trying agility, flyball, or dock diving alongside her future family. What this girl wants most isn't perfection. She wants someone who sees her as part of the family—a dog who gets to tag along on errands, explore new places, celebrate life's little moments, and always have a place to call home.If you've been thinking your life could use a little more laughter, a walking buddy, a travel companion, and a loyal best friend, JoJo might be exactly who you've been waiting for. Benji is a very sweet boy who I haven't had very long. I've unfortunately realized ( after allergy testing) that my youngest child is very allergic to him. He is an Aussie mix he's very gentle but will try to herd you and your kids 🤣 he's not much of a talker or barker and he can chill contently on his bed or have a blast with runs and walks. He likes company both people and other dogs. He is exceptionally leash trained and does not tug at all when walking. Feel free to message for more info

Story
Meet Stella (Molly)! The perfect active companion who can go all day, or just chill and relax. 1.5-2 years old and 28-30 pounds of solid muscle who loves to run and would do great with a similar sized pup friend!Formal positive training (6sessions)Come, sit, down, stay, place, focus (eye contact) and off (or leave it). She is treat motivated, and is smart as a whip! The healer and beagle in her shine when it comes to training! She loves playing fetch too!She does need more help with loose leash walking, and she did great with the trainer on this! She wants nothing more than belly rubs, and to snuggle with her person. Needs someone on the active side since she does like to “work”. She is so smart i bet she’d learn advanced commands and “tricks” for treats. Loves meeting new people and would love another pup to play chase with. All training homework is available to her forever family.Meet Stella (Molly)! The perfect active companion who can go all day, or just chill and relax. 28-30 pounds of solid muscle. Is in foster care, where she’s learned perfect manners on house training (she will let you know if she needs potty time)! We have done some formal positive training where she’s learned basic obedience skills. Come, sit, down, stay, place, focus (eye contact) and off (or leave it). She is treat motivated, and is smart as a whip! The healer and beagle in her shine when it comes to training! Needs someone on the active side since she does like to “work”. She is so smart i bet she’d learn advanced commands and “tricks” for treats. Loves people and would love another pup to play chase with. Is fine with cats unless they run, then she wants to chase them and boss them too (but has never hurt them). That would probably improve with more structured walks and exercise. All training homework is available to her forever family.Stella Loves to play ball and brings it back! Wants to be close to, snuggle and gives lots (and lots) of kisses to her people. Is learning sit, down, and come, needs more leash work as she likes to “herd” her person. Too curious about cats, and wants to chase or “herd” them too! Loves to run in the yard and wants a buddy to chase, or for them chase her. Fully of energy and has a friendly, loving disposition to all the people she meets.
