Story
Ruger is an adorably energetic dog who enjoys being loved on by adults and kids. He is 5 years old and was rescued when he was 10 weeks old. He gets along with other dogs and loves to cuddle big dogs. We have a toddler at home who has begun having severe allergies, and after many test, the doctor came to the conclusion that his hair is the root issue. We tried adding many air filters, having our vents cleaned, and allergy medicine, but nothing is working and our baby’s health needs to come first. Ruger would do great with a family who can give him love and take him on walks or let him run around in the yard. He enjoys playing fetch with a tennis ball

Story
This handsome 4.5 month old puppster is called Boy George and he is what you would call….a character.  A Border Collie mix puppy who is smart and mischievous and a leader in life.  He was born in a litter of 8 puppies around the middle of October and he was the biggest kid in the bunch. He is laidback yet very much an involved pup when it comes to creating dog events that are fun and inquisitive.  He is one that doesn’t back down because he knows that he can win the challenge with his tenacity.  Boy George has conquered all the obligations in his life to learn about housebreaking, crate time and how to walk on a leash with at least a B- rating.  Practice will make perfect when in a family that has more one on one time for him.  He is going to be a 55 pound boy once he is grown.  His Mom is Blue Eyed Kaye and she is a wonderful girl with a happy demeanor and has certainly passed it along to all her sweet offspring.  Boy George is a good pup but he is looking for an even smarter owner that will figure him out before he slips one in on you. He is loving and can be an attention grabber because when you are raised in a pack of 8 siblings, you kind of crave some private time for yourself.  Boy George will be a fun pup to raise and one that will excel at puppy training classes.  At 18 weeks of age and 32 pounds, he is a great size to take on car rides, walks on a trail or  your local neighborhood.  He will welcome new dogs and people to meet and did we mention that he LOVES CATS!   To our Boy George they are just another friend in life!   We will require a home with a securely fenced yard so that this boy can explore and hang out in the great outdoors/backyard.  He is not a digger and he is not a fence climber.  But he is a dog that requires the stimulation both physically and mentally every day.  Teach him things and he will make you a proud dog owner. Someone is looking for a dog like this.  Maybe an only dog in the home or just a great addition because he will be play buddies with anyone.  But always know that you must be the leader of your pack and Boy George.  He craves the boundaries and rules.  He thrives best not having his way and is so moldable.  If interested please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Mention where you live, city and state.  Transport is available to the northeast outside of Tennessee where he is being fostered PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com.April 22, 2025, 3:33 pm

Story
We are delighted to say that during this beautiful season of renewal and friendship and family bonding, we have 8 precious little Border Collie/Aussie mix puppies that are looking for a fresh and forever start to their life. Born about the middle of October to a beautiful Aussie mix mom, these babies were fortunately taken in by a senior couple who nurtured them for 7 weeks.  Now these precious beauties are in individual foster homes and learning so much as they grow.  5 boys and 3 girls.  They are handled and cuddled so much!  No fear issues have touched their spirit!   Mom is a 45 pound white and black beauty and we expect each of these smart pups to be in the 45-50 pound range as an adult.  If you were interested in adopting, please right to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
If you’re looking for brilliance wrapped in freckles and puppy kisses, meet Zane.   Born around January 3rd, this spunky little Border Collie mix is already proving he’s at the top of his class. Zane doesn’t just learn — he excels. While most puppies are still figuring things out, this bright boy is already heading to the back door to politely alert his foster mom when he needs to go potty. House training graduation? Just a week or two away. We have no doubt he’ll earn that diploma with honors.   Zane is one-third of what we lovingly call the Three Amigos — along with his brothers Bleu and Snoopy. Together, they are a whirlwind of freckled faces, tumbling paws, and pure joy. Wrestling? Mastered. Running and jumping? Conquered. Backyard zoomies? Olympic level. But when the play session winds down and the excitement fades, Zane reveals his softer side. He seeks out his foster mom, curls up beside her, and sleeps peacefully for hours. For all his energy and intelligence, he is deeply affectionate and thrives on connection.   He currently sleeps in a kennel with his brothers and is doing beautifully with structure and routine. Zane is the kind of puppy who will flourish with an active, engaged family that understands the needs of a smart working-breed mix. He will need consistency, continued training, and ideally a safe, secure fenced yard where he can stretch those athletic legs and put that sharp mind to good use.   The “School of Love” may be his favorite class of all. Snuggles? Perfect attendance. Kisses and hugs? Straight A’s. Cozy naps next to his warm human? Advanced placement. Zane bonds deeply and will give his whole heart to his person. At an estimated 45 pounds full grown, he will be the perfect size for adventures by day and couch time by night.   Zane isn’t just a cute puppy. He’s a smart, devoted future companion who will grow into an incredible dog for the right family. If you are ready for commitment, activity, laughter, and a loyal best friend, Zane is ready for you.   Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you’re interested. Be sure to include your city and state, as we transport from Tennessee and adopt both locally and to the northeastern region.   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Meet Zelly! Zelly really has quite the story. He came to Hound Dog Holler from Memphis Animal Services and needed help quick. He had skull fractures from being beaten with a shovel. Although this was a sad part of Zelly's life, everything is looking up for him now! He's been at the farm since early May and is enjoying life. Trusting people has taken some time, but he's getting better at it. He does well with other dogs too once he gets to know them. Zelly was born for the farm life. He wants to work with you, hop in the truck, and help you with your chores. He does well around livestock too. If you're interested in Zelly, please reach out and give him the next chapter that he deserves.
