Story
Oreo is a 7 month old girl still learning her way in this world. She's eager to please but her first and only home was one of starvation and sickness by the Texas/Mexico border. Oreo loves her flirt pole chasing, fetch and tug of war. At 7 months old she's just 17 lbs so she should remain small her entire life. Oreo is fully vetted and her adoption fee is waived to an approved home. She is crate trained, dog door trained, good with other dogs and kids. We do not free feed dogs. To potentially meet or adopt Oreo fill out an application on our website at irescuehomelesspets dot org under the adopt tab

Pip thinks the people on tv want to pet her too. She does calm down quickly when she is ready for the lovin. She is a big snuggler. She is a puppy and does love to chew, especially the toys. She is still working on the potty training. She will not jump out of short enclosures. She was found very young and was put with a nursing mother that lost all of her pups. She is a very sweet soul and willl look at you with very loving eyes when she is getting the love. No experience with cats but sure she would be fine. Nick name is Pip.

Story
Star is a 12 year old retired PTSD service dog. He was 57 pounds at his last vet visit. He has arthritis. I need to rehome him due to an upcoming divorce. He is given gabapentin for pain ($9.50 per month). He loves children, laying in sun spots, and watching over the neighborhood from the front yard. He does not like baths. He shakes. He does not like thunderstorms. He shakes, whines a little, and looks at you pleading to make it stop. If he barks once every six months, that is a lot. If you take a turn in the car roughly, he comments on it with a moan. (grin) You are only in danger of being licked and leaned on. He has worked with many trainers who describe him as a marshmallow. When he went to doggie daycare, he was put with small dogs. The larger dogs were intimidating him in that setting. We have had larger dogs over for play dates and he has done fine.

Story
Meet Bella! She is a very sweet 2 year old female Kelpie/GSD mix, and is UTD on shots, spayed, and on monthly heartworm/flea preventative. Bella has undergone successful heartworm treatment and is now heartworm negative! Bella doesn’t do great with small dogs (under 20lbs) but she’s perfect with all other dogs, male and female. Bella is very kid friendly. She is more of a submissive, low key dog, with bursts of energy but 90% of the time wanting to be by your feet laying down sleeping. She does need some work on leash manners and not jumping on guests when they enter the house. Bella does not bark at all. She does whine a bit in her crate at first but quickly stops. She is completely housebroken and crate trained. She’s the sweetest dog who just wants love all day every day and to spend every waking moment by the people she loves. Big and small. Please please please give this girl a chance!! If you'd like to make Bella a furever member of your family please fill out our adoption application at adoption.poundpupandfriends.org
