Story
Meet Pickles — your future cuddle bug, adventure buddy, and loyal best friend all rolled into one! Pickles is a smart, affectionate girl who absolutely lives for being close to her people. Once she’s comfortable, she’ll happily climb right into your lap (yes, all of her!) and shower you with love. She’s great with kids, though due to her enthusiastic “snuggle tackles,” supervision with smaller kiddos is recommended. This girl is the total package when it comes to brains and trainability. Pickles is incredibly smart and very treat-motivated — which means training with her is actually fun. She already knows sit, down, up, shake, and heel, and while her “stay” is still a work in progress, she’s eager to learn and picks things up quickly (especially if snacks are involved!). Pickles enjoys the company of other dogs and has done well in daycare and boarding, but she prefers smaller groups and slow introductions. She can be a bit of a playful pest with smaller dogs, so a home that understands her social style will be a great fit. If you’re looking for a walking partner, Pickles is ready! Weather doesn’t faze her — rain or shine, she’s always up for an adventure and walks beautifully on a leash. She’s also house-trained and kennel-trained, making her an easy addition to a structured home. Pickles has a few quirks that make her all the more lovable — she’s a digger, a bit of a talker, and will definitely let you know when someone’s at the door or when you’ve made it home. She’s loyal to her core and naturally protective of her people. Because of her past, Pickles may need a little extra patience when warming up to some men. She may bark and keep her distance at first, but with time, understanding, and (you guessed it) treats, she can learn to feel safe and secure. Pickles is looking for a loving, active family who will give her the time, structure, and affection she deserves. In return, she’ll give you endless loyalty, laughter, and all the cuddles you could ever want. Ready to meet your new best friend? Pickles is waiting! 🐾

Story
bubba Is a one year old male, fixed. lots of energy so he needs a lot of physical activity (walks, attention, chew toys). He is super friendly and loves children, as well as playing. He would make a great companion as he's a Velcro dog who loves to cuddle. While he is mostly potty trained and crate trained, he still has reoccurring issues with marking inside. We bought some diapers for him that actually do work very well, but its only a bandaid for the actual issue. Bubba would be the perfect companion for someone who is looking for a reason to be more active, or wants a dog that is happy, and eager to learn.

Patch is 17 months old. He’s fun loving and friendly. He’s up to date on all his vaccinations, worming, etc. He has a natural instinct regarding herding and enjoys running and playing. Due to our upcoming travel plans, we’ve decided it’s best for us to re-home Patch to a family where he can have more freedom and attention.

Story
Meet Bella! She is a very sweet 2 year old female Kelpie/GSD mix, and is UTD on shots, spayed, and on monthly heartworm/flea preventative. Bella has undergone successful heartworm treatment and is now heartworm negative! Bella doesn’t do great with small dogs (under 20lbs) but she’s perfect with all other dogs, male and female. Bella is very kid friendly. She is more of a submissive, low key dog, with bursts of energy but 90% of the time wanting to be by your feet laying down sleeping. She does need some work on leash manners and not jumping on guests when they enter the house. Bella does not bark at all. She does whine a bit in her crate at first but quickly stops. She is completely housebroken and crate trained. She’s the sweetest dog who just wants love all day every day and to spend every waking moment by the people she loves. Big and small. Please please please give this girl a chance!! If you'd like to make Bella a furever member of your family please fill out our adoption application at adoption.poundpupandfriends.org

Story
Clark is a 2 year old Husky mixed with Australian cattle dog and German shepherd. Clark has a very big personality. He makes us laugh all the time by how goofy he is. In true husky fashion, he is smart but also stubborn and will let you know exactly how he feels. He LOVES people and other dogs. He will want to be by your side all the time. He has separation anxiety so he gets crated when we leave the house. He complains but will eventually settle. Clark has been to obedience training but because he is so stubborn he has struggled with it. He needs someone with patience who is willing to put in the time and work so that he can be the best boy. He would thrive in a single person household or a family where there are no kids. He’s very playful with kids but is food aggressive and resource guards his food bowl. He is high energy and needs lots of attention and exercise. We really want the best for him and would much rather him go straight to a loving home.
