Story
Please contact Tonya Griffith (TMSGriffith@aol.com) for more information about this pet.Posted 8/23/15, and pictures taken 8/4/15.  The owner died on 6/26/15 in Ben Wheeler, TX.  The mother was a Blue Heeler.  While we had the dogs at the man's house posted for the family to try to find homes for them, someone let the gate open to the dog pen, letting her mother and three siblings out, and her mother and one sibling were killed by something or someone.  Rhea was the third one that was missing, but she was found on 7/17/15, and reunited with her sister Rayna.  She can dig under a fence if she wants to, so she will need to be in a secure yard, or crated when gone.  She seems to be content with her sister here now, so she may do better getting adopted with her sister.  Rhea is more social with people than Rayna, but they are both very sweet and making very good progress with us.  They both come up to me, and loves treats. D.O.B.:     ? 2009Weight:     31.1 - 7/23/15 $25 adoption fee.March 21, 2024, 10:27 pm

Story
Ginger was rescued from a shelter in Ft. Worth after being placed on the euthanize list. She is a very laid back young girl who gets along well with other dogs and children. She has not been tested with cats. She is house and crate trained, leash trained and rides well in the car. She loves snuggling with her person as well as belly rubs and back scratches. She is a bit timid and shy, but is gentle and even tempered and warms up to her people quickly.  She is intelligent and obedient, but is still learning basic commands.  January 13, 2024, 12:14 am

Story
** OFFERING $500 cash to the family adopting Hunter** Hunter is an amazing, intelligent, loyal and highly energetic. He does very well at doggy daycare and boarding facilities. However, Hunter needs a home with other high energetic dogs and lots of space to burn energy. I feel he would be great on a farm or ranch and possibly good for helping with cattle herding. We adore Hunter but he would be much happier with an owner and a place better suited for his type of breed and energy. We are located on Lake Fork in Yantis, Tx. *Special advisory: we will need to see the new home of Hunter before finalizing the adoption

Story
Please contact Tonya Griffith (TMSGriffith@aol.com) for more information about this pet.Posted on 12/2/17, and pictures were updated on 7/27/21.  Dahlia was transferred to me on 8/31/17 from the Rebel Ranch Rescue after the founder, Amy Allen, was murdered on 8/21/17.  Dahlia was one of 4 dogs still there that other rescue groups chose not to take.  She was scared and tried to chew the leash the first attempt to get her out of her dog pen, so a second leash was used as a muzzle.  She was also hiding in a hole under her dog house.  She had a male dog in the dog pen with her named Artie, who seemed to be attached to her. After being in a dog pen for about one week.  I decided to start letting Dahlia and Artie out to run, and they would chase each other around and then run back into the dog pen when done.  Dahlia also LOVES to get in water.  After another week of this, I decided to leave the gate open all the time.  They eventually moved to another section of our property.  Dahlia started climbing our 4 foot perimeter fence and running around the wooded area, but Artie has stayed on our property and made friends with the other dogs here, so he is not as attached to Dahlia as I first thought.  Dahlia got to where she came up to me to get pet, so it was easy to catch her when she was outside our property.  I put her in a small secure kennel at first with some can food, so she knew that going in that kennel meant can food when I needed to catch her again.  I now have her in a secure 6 foot tall dog pen, and she loves attention and getting pet.  She first found a way out through the chain link on top by getting on top of a dog house, but the chain link is now secure to the railing.  She needs a lot of space to run with a tall secure fence that can't be climbed over or dug under, and a source of water to get into.  It would be nice if she could get a job to do, since she is very trainable, and it might help keep her at a home. Dahlia was already spayed when transferred, and heartworm negative on 9/1/17. D.O.B.:     ? August 2013Weight:     47.6 - 9/1/17; 70.2 - 12/4/20 $25 adoption fee.March 21, 2024, 10:27 pm

Story
Please contact Tonya Griffith (TMSGriffith@aol.com) for more information about this pet.Posted on 10/14/21, and the pictures were taken on 10/13/21.  TINSLEY MUST BE ADOPTED WITH HER MOM TEYLA SINCE THEY ARE BONDED. Teyla and Tinsley were found on the side of CR 346 in Whitehouse, TX on 7/20/21.  Teyla had a broken leg.  I picked them up from the person that found them on 7/21/21, took Teyla to the Gresham Veterinary Hospital, and surgery was done on 7/22/21.  She had a broken right femur, right hip fractured, and her pelvis was broke, but not displaced.  We raised the donations needed for her surgery.  She has wires and a plate on her right femur.  On 10/6/21, her x-ray showed that the bones were starting to calcify.  Teyla was cleared by the veterinarian on 11/3/21 to be available for adoption.  They both have high energy, so they will need a large secure fenced yard to work off that energy every day.  They are very sweet, both have sky blue eyes, and play well with other dogs. Tinsley was spayed on 8/16/21 weighing 23 pounds, and tested negative for heartworms.  Teyla is positive for heartworms, and she is on Ivermectin for slow kill.  We estimate that Tinsley was born around August 2020. $90 adoption fee.March 21, 2024, 10:27 pm
