Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My name is Lee! Aren't I cute? If you are looking for a well-rounded dog, I'm it! I love to play, especially fetch and run around. I am very smart and picking up on commands very well. I do exceptionally well with house and crate training and do very well holding it and letting you know when I need to go to the bathroom. I do well with kids and other animals. I live in a home with a 19-month-old and a bunch of other dogs. I would work in just about any household. I am very food motivated and ready to learn with my new family. Won't you add me to your family, and we can be friends furever!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 21, 2024, 10:36 am

Story
I acquired my pet, Gia, from a local breeder when she was a puppy. Gia is currently 2 years old and will be turning 3 on July 2. In searching for a new home for Gia, we are looking for someone who has enough time for her, as she is an active dog that loves running in the backyard and playing with toys. Gia is a loving, sweet, and reserved dog. We believe she would thrive in a home where she can receive the attention and playtime she enjoys. We are seeking a loving and committed owner who can provide Gia with the care and companionship she deserves.

ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 50 lbs KNOWN WITH DOGS: Ruby does well with other dogs. She is able to participate in play groups at the Homeward Trails Adoption Center. KNOWN WITH CATS: Ruby has demonstrated prey drive while on walks attempting to chase squirrels and stray cats. As such, we do not wish to send Ruby to a home with small companion animals. KNOWN WITH KIDS: Ruby lived with two teenagers and a preteen. Based on other information, we would suggest Ruby would do best in a home with low traffic. KNOWN COMMANDS: We are still working on how many commands Ruby might know. KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING &/OR CRATING: Ruby appears to be housebroken. KNOWN LIKES: Ruby loves being outside, going on long hikes and walks. In her previous home, she worked with a trainer several times wherein she greatly improved with her leash walking skills. She does really well meeting strangers and other dogs while on walks. KNOWN DISLIKES: Ruby can be reactive to lots of activity outside her home. She was also reactive to new people coming into her home. ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Introducing Ruby - a precious gem of a pup ready to shine bright in her forever home! With an estimated weight of 50 lbs, Ruby may be a big girl, but she's as precious as they come, with a heart full of love and loyalty waiting to be shared with her new family. In the world of canine companionship, Ruby is a true gem - she gets along well with other dogs and is a pro at participating in playgroups at the Homeward Trails Adoption Center. However, it's important to note that Ruby has demonstrated some prey drive during walks, showing interest in chasing squirrels and stray cats. As such, she would do best in a home without small companion animals. When it comes to her interactions with kids, Ruby has experience living with teenagers and a preteen. Based on this information, we believe Ruby would thrive in a calm and low-traffic environment where she can feel safe and secure. In terms of commands and housebreaking, Ruby is a work in progress, but she's eager to learn and please her humans. And when it comes to her likes, Ruby is in her element outdoors - she loves going on long hikes and walks, and she's made great strides with her leash walking skills through training sessions with her previous owner. She's also friendly and sociable with strangers and other dogs she meets along the way. While Ruby is a precious gem, she does have her dislikes - she can be reactive to lots of activity outside her home and may exhibit possessive behaviors. However, with the right guidance and training, we're confident that Ruby will continue to blossom into the shining star she's meant to be. So, if you're ready to open your heart and home to a precious jewel of a pup, look no further than Ruby - she's ready to become your loyal companion and faithful friend for life. Don't miss out on the chance to welcome this special girl into your family - adopt Ruby today and watch as she brightens up your world with her love and affection!
