Story
Meet MJ (“Max”)! Max is a handsome 1-year-old Border Collie mix with brains, energy, and a whole lot of love to give! This smart boy is neutered, crate trained, house trained, and eager to learn. He already knows sit, lay down, wait, and stay, and he’s currently mastering spin and place. Max absolutely loves people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He’s happiest when he has room to run, play, and frolic in the yard—sometimes with a few excited barks to let everyone know he’s having the best day ever! Because of his herding breed mix and active nature, Max would thrive with an active family and a securely fenced yard where he can safely burn off energy and enjoy outdoor adventures. While Max adores dogs and humans alike, a home without cats is best for him. This young boy is looking for a family that will continue his training, keep his mind busy, and give him the love and exercise he craves. In return, Max will reward you with loyalty, fun, and endless affection. Could Max be the perfect addition to your family?

Location: Union Bridge, MD Hi, I'm Luke! 🐕 I'm a striking 6-year-old Border Collie and Australian Shepherd mix with a sleek black and white coat and a medium build at 45 pounds. I get along great with other dogs, so I'd be a fantastic addition to a multi-dog household or a perfect companion for your current pup. At this stage in my life, I'm ready to settle into a home where I can be part of the pack. My adoption fee is $375 — come meet me and let's see if we're a match! 🎾✨

Story
Hi, I’m Smiley—and I think my name suits me pretty well. If you look closely, you’ll notice my adorable little grin, but it’s my big brown eyes that usually do all the talking. They’ve seen a lot, but they’re still full of hope that my forever family is out there. I’m a 7-year-old Border Collie mix, which means I’m just barely a senior and still have plenty of adventures, walks, and cuddle sessions ahead of me. I can be a little shy when I first meet new people, but if you’ll give me a little patience and let me get to know you at my own pace, I promise you’re in for something really special. Trust is a gift I’d love to share with the right person. Once I know you’re my friend, you’ll discover that I’m the sweetest boy around. I absolutely love snuggling up with my soft, squeaky toys and I’m perfectly happy entertaining myself for a while. But don’t worry—I have plenty of room in my heart for cuddle sessions, kisses, and just being close to my favorite people. I’m a little goofy, a little independent, and a whole lot of lovable. One of my favorite things to do is go for walks. I stroll nicely on a leash without pulling because I’m much more interested in taking my time, sniffing all the wonderful smells, and enjoying the trails. Every walk is a new adventure, and I’d love to have someone to explore the world with. If you already have a dog at home, that’s even better! I absolutely LOVE other dogs and would be thrilled to have a canine buddy to share life with. As for cats, I’m not sure what I’d think since I haven’t met any yet. I’m also healing beautifully. My skin and fur are growing back after recovering from Demodex and a flea allergy, and every day I’m looking and feeling a little better. My outside is catching up to the sweet boy I’ve always been on the inside. All I’m really looking for is someone who believes that the best things in life are worth waiting for. If you’ll give me the time to trust you, I’ll give you my whole heart in return. I can’t wait to meet the person who sees past my shy beginning and discovers the loyal, loving best friend I’ve been waiting to become.

Story
Sebastian has been with our family since he was 8 weeks old, he is currently 4.5 years old. This decision to rehome has been very hard but necessary as I have recently dealt with serious health struggles that have left me unable to fully care for him. He is a sweet, hyper boy and so good with children. He loves to run and cuddle. I am looking for a new home that will give him the same type love and care that we gave.

Story
Meet Bastian: Your New Best Friend in the Making! Bastian is a darling love bug with a big heart and an even bigger supply of tail wags. This sweet boy seems to believe that everyone he meets is a future friend—people, dogs, and anyone willing to offer a little attention. During outings to PetSmart and Lowe’s, he handled the busy environments beautifully, happily greeting new faces with warmth, confidence, and plenty of affection. Bastian is still learning his leash manners and may pull a bit, but he responds well to gentle correction and is eager to do the right thing. He did not bark or whine during his outings, and while he is still getting used to new surroundings, he does not seem easily rattled. If something surprises him, he may give a small hop—but then he comes right back looking for reassurance and love. One of Bastian’s most endearing moments came when he climbed into his handler's lap, settled in, and peacefully fell asleep. He is affectionate without hesitation and seems to take comfort in being close to his people. Based on what has been observed so far, Bastian may do well with dog-friendly cats and children, especially with proper introductions and a family ready to help him continue building confidence. If you are looking for a loving companion who is ready to explore the world by your side, greet life with a wagging tail, and curl up for a cozy nap when the adventure is done, Bastian may be the perfect match. This gentle, affectionate boy is ready for a forever home where he can be cherished, guided, and loved the way he deserves. HART Homepage: https://hart90.org/ Questions About this Animal? Story
Zoey is a gentle, sweet girl who just wants to snuggle with her people all day. Recently arrived from North Carolina, she is about 2 years old and 50 #. A marvelous mix of cocker spaniel/poodle/shepard and more, her curly coat and floppy ears are so soft! She is housebroken and crate trained, but still has some puppy energy if it's playtime. When meeting other dogs and people, she is timid at first. Once she is sure people and dogs are friendly, she is happy to greet everyone with kisses and wags. Zoey plays well with other dogs, matching their energy and play style. She'll be happy to wrestle or to hang out quietly together. Zoey knows basic commands and will retrieve and drop a ball (most of the time). HART Homepage: https://hart90.org/ Questions About this Animal?
