I’m hoping I can rehome him with a nice, loving and active owner! He loves hard chew toys, walks, rubs and car rides, the beach. Can be skittish around new people and dogs. Needs to be walked or he will explore. I work a lot and I’m not able to give him the time he needs unfortunately. He knows direction if you point and tell him, he knows excuse me, sit, no, kisses, stop, good boy, potty, poop, pee, water, come here and eat, bed, go, outside, go for a walk. He’s very smart! He comes to “handsome, Mackey, Max, Big Boy, Pumpkin” He likes paper of any kind! He can’t eat bones nor hard jerky because he swallows them whole from excitement. 34 pounds small/medium size. Loves being brushed. Doesn’t like getting his nails cut nor bathe lol. Would recommend brushing twice a week.

Meet Hobart! Hobart is a handsome 5-year-old, 65-lb hound/heeler mix. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and heartworm negative—ready for his forever home! He’s crate trained, housebroken, e-collar trained, walks nicely on leash, rides well in the car, and gets along with most other dogs (especially larger ones). He is a loyal companion with a big, endearing personality. Hobart loves going for walks and would make an excellent adventure partner. Thanks to his e-collar training, his recall is solid, and he enjoys exploring the outdoors just as much as he loves relaxing on the couch with his people. Hobart would do best with an active individual or couple who is willing to continue providing structure, consistency, and training. And would thrive in a home without kids, cats, or other small animals. Hobart’s only challenge is occasional resource guarding, but with the right environment and owners who understand his boundaries, he will flourish and be the perfect companion.

Story
Stella is a friendly and intelligent dog with plenty of energy. We want her to be happy and have a space where she can run around and play with other dogs. Previously, Stella lived in the mountains of Colorado, where she enjoyed a large fenced yard and had lots of friends to play with. Now, she is living in a townhouse without a yard, which has been challenging for her. As a very active young lady, she is currently feeling unhappy. Stella is a mix of Australian Cattle Dog, Husky, German Shepherd, and Golden Retriever, and she is expected to weigh around 30 pounds. She is a loving and eager-to-learn dog who picks up new skills quickly. Stella would be an amazing agility dog, as this would engage both her mind and her need for physical activity. If agility training isn't your interest, she would also thrive in an active lifestyle with an avid walker, hiker, or runner.  Stella is a very quick learner and was immediately fully potty trained.     To ensure the best for Stella, her new owners should have a yard or live on a farm, and it would be great if they have another dog and children.  Stella has plenty of energy to add playing at home to her list of activities.    Stella has been spayed and is current on all her shots until May 2026.  To be considered for her forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Stella is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)  July 30, 2025, 9:47 pm
