Story
Meet Fern! Some dogs are simply waiting for a family. Fern is waiting for her people—the ones she'll happily follow through every adventure life has to offer.Fern is an 8-month-old Border Collie mix, born around the middle of November 2025, and currently weighs 29 pounds. She'll likely mature to around 40 pounds—the perfect size for hiking trails, road trips, neighborhood walks, and curling up at your feet after a day well spent.Fern and her identical sister were adopted together as tiny 6-week-old puppies. Unfortunately, their family realized they couldn't give the girls the time, attention, and exercise they deserve. Now Fern is searching for the forever home she's always deserved. This beautiful black-and-white girl has a sweet, easygoing personality and is happiest when she's included in whatever her people are doing. She loves children, enjoys the company of other dogs, and is always ready for a new adventure. She hasn't met cats yet, though she and her sister have been known to chase chickens—something that may disappear once she's no longer teaming up with her mischievous sibling!Like many Border Collie mixes, Fern is happiest when both her body and her mind are engaged. She'll thrive with daily walks, backyard games, hiking adventures, or even dog sports like agility, flyball, or dock diving. She doesn't need a perfect life—just one where she's loved, included, and given opportunities to learn and explore.Imagine having a loyal companion who's waiting by the door when it's time for a walk, riding shotgun on weekend adventures, making your kids laugh in the backyard, and greeting you with a wagging tail after every workday. That's the life Fern is hoping for—and the life she's ready to give back with endless love and devotion. If you're looking for a best friend to share life's adventures, Fern may be the missing piece you've been searching for.To learn more or request an adoption application, email ccrtennessee@gmail.com and be sure to include your city and state. Story
Looking for a dog who's just as excited about a Saturday morning hike as she is about relaxing at your feet afterward? Meet JoJo!This girl pup is an 8-month-old Border Collie mix with striking black-and-white markings and an even more beautiful personality. At 29 pounds, she's expected to grow to around 40 pounds—a wonderful medium size that's ready to jump into the car whenever adventure calls. Her story started with hope when she and her identical sister were adopted as young puppies. Sadly, their family realized they simply didn't have enough time to meet the girls' needs, so JoJo is getting a second chance to find a home where she can truly thrive. She  is a wonderful blend of playful and easygoing. She loves kids, enjoys other dogs, and is always up for exploring somewhere new. She hasn't been introduced to cats yet, and while she and her sister have had a little too much fun chasing chickens together, we suspect that without her partner-in-crime, she may be much more interested in staying close to her people than stirring up barnyard trouble! As a Border Collie mix, JoJo is smart, athletic, and happiest when life includes activity. Daily walks, games in a fenced yard, hiking, camping, trips to the park, or learning new skills will help her shine. She'd likely have a blast trying agility, flyball, or dock diving alongside her future family. What this girl wants most isn't perfection. She wants someone who sees her as part of the family—a dog who gets to tag along on errands, explore new places, celebrate life's little moments, and always have a place to call home.If you've been thinking your life could use a little more laughter, a walking buddy, a travel companion, and a loyal best friend, JoJo might be exactly who you've been waiting for.   To learn more or request an adoption application, email ccrtennessee@gmail.comand be sure to include your city and state. Story
Meet Buddy! ❤️ This handsome island boy has been settling beautifully into foster care and showing everyone what a wonderful companion he can be.  At 1 year old and approximately 25 pounds, Buddy is the perfect small-to-medium-sized adventure buddy. He loves going for walks, exploring the world, and then curling up for a well-earned nap. His foster family says he walks wonderfully on leash and continues to impress them with how quickly he is learning new things. He can “sit” and is working on "lay down" and loves having opportunities to learn and please his people. He is doing great in foster care, using the yard for potty breaks (no accidents), enjoying daily walks, and becoming quite the cuddle bug. Whether he’s relaxing by your side or joining you on an adventure, Buddy enjoys being near his people.  He is crated when his foster family isn't home without any problem.  Buddy is gentle, affectionate, and eager to connect with people. There is just one thing on Buddy’s wish list for his forever home: no cats. While he is learning many things, he still can’t resist chasing the resident cat and would be happiest in a feline-free home.  His foster family has invested a lot of time and effort in his training and wants to see Buddy go to a family that will continue his training.  Buddy would do best with structure and guidance so he can be the bestest boy.  He is still young and learning. Buddy originally entered a shelter in Puerto Rico with his mother and brother. Now he is hoping his next chapter includes a family of his very own. ✨ Buddy’s Details: 1 year old Approximately 25 pounds Neutered Up to date on vaccines Mixed-breed Puerto Rican Sato Loves walks and outdoor adventures Affectionate and cuddly Learning basic commands and needs a family willing to continue his training No cats, please If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who is equally happy joining you for a walk or snuggling up for a nap, Buddy may be the perfect match. Adoption Fee: $395 Apply today to meet Buddy and give this deserving boy the forever home he’s been waiting for! ❤️Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
VADER - 1 1/2 yrs old, 45 pounds, house trained, playful, guarding tendencies for high value items, needs only pet homeStill very much a puppy at heart, Vader ended up in shelter life and he's ready to leave it behind. He adores his humans.Emoji Tennis balls and all kinds of toys are his love language. He'll want to sleep next to you, cuddle on the couch, and follow you from room to room. A family who can channel that big energy and keep him company is all this boy needs.Friendly and playful with other dogs, Vader has his quirks. (We all do, right?) He has shown he will guard those items he feels are high value. This is a behavior that can be managed and we are happy to give advice if you need it, but for this reason, Vader needs to go to an only pet home.He can be standoffish with certain new people and might need space while getting used to them. Treats again help a lot!Vader is a lovable and smart, sometimes a little too smart for his own good!He appreciates the time with his humans so much so that he doesn't like being left alone. Are you home more often than not? Come on out and just ask to meet with Vader! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 50.8 Age: 2yrs 2mths 1wks
