Story
  Rex is a young dog who has already lived a lifetime’s worth of hardship—and somehow came out the other side with a gentle soul and an open heart. For much of his first year, Rex lived tied out in the woods with a homeless couple, missing out on everything a puppy should know: safety, structure, and the comfort of belonging. Now, at just barely one year old, he’s finally getting his chance at having a good life that does not include a tieout and living in the woods homeless.    This handsome Corgi mix weighs 25 pounds, with a compact, active build and a few healthy pounds still to gain. He sports the most expressive upright ears, short Corgi legs, a long body, and a gorgeous, fluffy tail reminiscent of a Border Collie. His coat is soft and flowing, and his energy is joyful and contagious once he feels safe. Rex is friendly with other dogs and naturally polite in his interactions. When meeting new people, he approaches gently with a submissive posture, ears back at first—then slowly lifting as his confidence grows. He’s still learning how to walk on a leash and is being introduced to basic commands and manners for the very first time and he’s proving to be a quick learner who genuinely wants to please. Because Rex missed out on early training, he will need an adopter who understands young dogs and enjoys helping one grow into his potential. With consistency and positive guidance, Rex could shine in agility, flyball, or other interactive dog sports. More than anything, he’s a dog who wants to work with his person and be part of a family.  Rex is ready to leave survival behind and step into a life filled with love, guidance, and belonging.   If you’re looking for brilliance wrapped in freckles and puppy kisses, meet Zane. Born around January 3rd, this spunky little Border Collie mix is already proving he’s at the top of his class. Zane doesn’t just learn — he excels. While most puppies are still figuring things out, this bright boy is already heading to the back door to politely alert his foster mom when he needs to go potty. House training graduation? Just a week or two away. We have no doubt he’ll earn that diploma with honors. Zane is one-third of what we lovingly call the Three Amigos — along with his brothers Bleu and Snoopy. Together, they are a whirlwind of freckled faces, tumbling paws, and pure joy. Wrestling? Mastered. Running and jumping? Conquered. Backyard zoomies? Olympic level. But when the play session winds down and the excitement fades, Zane reveals his softer side. He seeks out his foster mom, curls up beside her, and sleeps peacefully for hours. For all his energy and intelligence, he is deeply affectionate and thrives on connection. He currently sleeps in a kennel with his brothers and is doing beautifully with structure and routine. Zane is the kind of puppy who will flourish with an active, engaged family that understands the needs of a smart working-breed mix. He will need consistency, continued training, and ideally a safe, secure fenced yard where he can stretch those athletic legs and put that sharp mind to good use. The “School of Love” may be his favorite class of all. Snuggles? Perfect attendance. Kisses and hugs? Straight A’s. Cozy naps next to his warm human? Advanced placement. Zane bonds deeply and will give his whole heart to his person. At an estimated 45 pounds full grown, he will be the perfect size for adventures by day and couch time by night. Meet Camellia, or “Cam” 🌼 Born June 14, 2025, Cam is a German Shorthaired Pointer/Border Collie mix with a bright mind and an even bigger heart. She knows her name and basic commands like sit and come, and shes very eager to please. Cam is high energy and thrives with activity, structure, and time with her people. She is crate trained and comfortable being in her crate about 8.5 hours during the workday. When shes not playing or training, Cam is a total snuggle bug who loves sleeping close to her humans, whether in bed or on a dog bed nearby. She currently lives with her parents and a 4.5-year-old male Black Lab. While she does fine with other dogs, she would likely thrive best in a home with a younger dog, a cat, or as the only pet where she can soak up extra attention. She has not yet been around children under 10. If youre looking for a smart, affectionate, active companion who wants to be your shadow and adventure buddy, Cam could be the perfect fit. 🐾💛

MAX - 6 years old, kid/cat/dog social, typical cattle dog behavior   Max is a vibrant and active boy surrendered for being too hyper and needing more room for his energy.   This dog needs exercise, playtime and room to move.  This dog needs exercise, playtime and room to move.  This dog needs exercise, playtime and room to move.    Reinforcing the fact that this boy is always on the move, please do some research on cattle dogs bc they, like all other breeds, have specific characteristics which may or may not align with your family's lifestyle.   Max is fun. He is the one bouncing off the walls. He is ready to go at all times.   He was silly in our shelter playgroup yard with the other dogs. He ran and chased and grabbed other dogs in his cattle dog style... always with a smile on his face!   Max is also great with children and cats.   He has some separation anxiety and is known to be destructive in the home if left alone. We recommend crating in these instances. Meet our six fluffy island babies. These adorable pups are currently in Puerto Rico and dreaming of loving forever homes in the States. With their soft coats, bright eyes, and playful personalities, they are as sweet as they are cute. They are young, happy, and full of puppy energy. They love to play and explore, then happily curl up for snuggles when the day winds down. Like all puppies, they will need families committed to training, socialization, and the patience that comes with raising a well rounded companion. In return, you will gain a loyal best friend for life. Their sweet mom was medium sized and did her best to protect her babies after being abandoned with them to the streets instead of being spayed and cared for like she deserved.  Tragically, she lost her life to a car while trying to keep them safe. Now it is their turn for a brighter future filled with safety and love. The pups are being cared for in Puerto Rico and can travel to the States for the right adopters. Each will have two rounds of age appropriate vaccines and will be ready to begin their new chapter. Adoption fee is $395.
