Story
Milo came into my life in 2022 while I was living in China. He started as my foster dog, but I quickly fell in love with him and officially adopted him. I brought him with me when I moved to Virginia in 2023, and my mom has lovingly cared for him since then. Due to my current living situation overseas, I am no longer able to provide Milo with the home he deserves, and my mom is no longer able to care for him long term. This is an incredibly difficult decision, but I am committed to finding him a loving forever home. Milo is a sweet, affectionate, playful 4-year-old boy who weighs about 31 lbs. He enjoys being around people and has done well with other dogs. He can be nervous around loud or unexpected noises and needs a patient, understanding family who will give him time to adjust. Milo is currently on medication for his anxiety. Milo has been loved deeply throughout his life. I am looking for someone who will make him part of their family and love him for the rest of his life. ❤️

Jasmine is a gentle girl who has never know what it’s like to have a family or what it’s like to be a dog.She was one of dozens of dogs tied up on a property where “ accidental “ puppies randomly happened and she came to live with her FOCCAS foster along with her three puppies. Her puppies moved out and she is slowly beginning to trust. She’s super sweet and wants to be a part of what is going on. Broken dogs take a while to heal but she is ready to accept that change and has came a long way in her journey. FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. Jasmine's adoption fee is $275. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Lola! Lola is a young Border Collie mix with a happy, playful personality and plenty of puppy enthusiasm. She is great with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends to play with. She has even learned to play tug nicely with another puppy in her foster home. We recommend a home without cats for Lola. She is very interested in them and tends to follow and mouth at them. Her behavior appears playful rather than aggressive, but it can be stressful for cats—even those accustomed to dogs. Like many young dogs who simply weren't taught manners early in life, Lola can be mouthy and likes to jump when she gets excited. She may also grab at ankles or legs during play. It's all part of her enthusiastic puppy play style, and she would benefit from an adopter willing to continue teaching her appropriate ways to play and greet people. Lola is crate trained and house trained. Her energy level is medium to high: she's always happy to start a game, but after she's gotten some energy out, she's equally content to settle into quieter play or chew on a favorite toy. When Lola first arrived, she wasn't always comfortable sharing certain high-value chew toys, particularly Nylabones. She has made great progress, and her foster hasn't seen any recent disagreements over toys. She is now regularly playing and interacting nicely with the other dogs in the home. Lola does have a seizure disorder and will need lifelong medication and routine veterinary monitoring to make sure her medication continues to control her seizures appropriately. This will be an important commitment for her adopter, but her seizures don't define her. Otherwise, Lola is a normal, happy young dog who loves to play, loves other dogs, and is still learning how to be the best girl she can be. Her two breeds occasionally conflict with one another, as her border collie side wants to herd or chase, and her Pyrenees side wants to guard.  She is learning to manage both those traits as she goes walking with her foster mom around Timberlake, smells squirrels and rabbits, and holds herself back from totally chasing in hot pursuit.  She is housetrained, and learning to manage herself around new people. Big Red Fred! This boy loves everybody and almost everything…..his feet however are off limits (or so he says)! I think he throughly loves playing “give me those feet” as he tries to keep them away! He loves dogs and ignores cats! He’s a very very sweet boy but he does have some vision impairments but they don’t hinder him in the slightest! You however, be mindful giving him treats because he just may swallow your entire arm as he can’t see up close very well! Hes not much of an adventurer but loves spending time outside sun bathing and sleeping on a nice comfy dog bed inside next to his people! He would love to have a home with another dog who he can play with as he thrives with friends!

Dexter is a sweet fella who needs a chance with a smart owner. He loves his people fiercely, but he can be wary of strangers at first. At long as he gets to have a proper introduction without being bombarded, he is great! Dexter has learned so much while with us! He knows to sit, down, wait, out, play fetch, and walks nicely on a leash. Dexter loves other dogs and enjoys playing. He loves frisbees, tennis balls, and belly rubs. He will never pass up a good cuddle session! Dexter is a Belgian Malinois mix, meaning he does need physical exercise and mental stimulation to keep him satisfied. In a home, Dexter may feel he needs to protect his person and home from outsiders. He needs someone to guide him and work with him through that. He is the most loyal boy and wants to please! We would prefer anyone that is interested in Dexter to have experience with the Belgian Malinois breed or Shepherd experience, but this is not required. Dexter Miny would make an incredibly loyal and loving partner in life. Please don't make Dexter wait any longer for his forever home!
