Story
Alder is basically the dog version of an introvert. Quiet, gentle, low-key, and completely content doing his own thing, Alder is one of the easiest and lowest-maintenance dogs I have ever had in the rescue out of hundreds of dogs. He is around a year old and was originally labeled as a pit bull mix at the shelter when he was younger and still looked like a generic puppy. But now that he is older, it is very obvious that he is not a pittie and instead looks much more like a Border Collie mix. Alder is wonderful with other dogs of all sizes and also great with cats. He peacefully coexists with everyone but honestly doesn’t care much about joining the chaos or playing constantly. He prefers to quietly exist nearby and observe the world at his own pace. He is shy and hesitant with new people at first, but there is not an ounce of aggression in him. He is simply a soft, sensitive dog who takes a little time to feel comfortable. Once he settles in, Alder is incredibly easy to live with. He is not demanding, not hyper, not loud, and not needy. He is the type of dog who quietly becomes part of your daily life without bringing chaos into it. Good fit: someone looking for a calm, quiet, low-maintenance companion who does not need constant stimulation or activity to be happy. Some young dogs are nonstop chaos. Landon is not one of them. Landon is an approximately 8 month old mixed breed boy around 40 pounds with a calm, easygoing personality that makes him incredibly easy to enjoy. He loves going on walks, exploring, and splashing around in the pond, but he is not one of those dogs that constantly needs stimulation every second of the day. Most of the time, Landon is perfectly content lounging around nearby, soaking up the day, and flashing his signature smile at everyone around him. He is great with dogs and cats and has a naturally relaxed, social personality. He enjoys playing and adventuring with other dogs but is not overly pushy or hyper. He also is not much of a barker, which is always a nice bonus. Landon has a really nice balance to his personality. He is young enough to happily join you on hikes, walks, trips to the lake, or outdoor adventures, but mellow enough to settle down and relax once the fun is over. If you are looking for a happy, adaptable dog that is up for whatever life brings without turning your home upside down, Landon would be a wonderful fit. Introducing Emma!   Emma is a goofy, high-energy girl with a BIG personality She loves attention and fully believes she should be the center of it at all times. If another dog is getting pets, Emma will absolutely bulldoze her way into the middle of it   She’s playful, active, and loves to run around, but she is also insecure/skittish at times and will need a family willing to help continue building her confidence. Emma is a jumper too — and not just a little one this girl can jump as high as your head without thinking twice.   She’s also incredibly smart… unfortunately sometimes she uses her powers for chaos Emma has mastered counter surfing and has a very expensive hobby of stealing things off counters to chew up. Her current obsession? Cords Apparently if it plugs in, Emma thinks it’s a snack.   While Emma does okay around other dogs, we personally think she may thrive best as an only dog or where she can soak up all the attention for herself. If there are other dogs in the home, proper introductions will be required.   Emma is looking for a patient home that understands quirky, energetic dogs and is willing to work with her while also laughing at her ridiculous antics along the way shes a ball of energy and needs a job, Her favorite toys are the big roasted cow knee bones.
