Story
Hi, we have had Ruby for almost 5 months. We got her from a family friend who was in desperate need of getting rid of her as his dog was trying to harm her. We took her in, in consideration we could get her trained as an emotional service animal for our 4 year old special needs child. Ruby is very possessive (which is good and bad), as she nips our children, while thinking she’s protecting me. My children have no interest in her and she may be jealous of them, but she’s a very timid dog. We’re not sure how she was treated in her previous home, but we are very scared she might hurt our kids, thinking they’re going to hurt me. She is very scared of everything and will not use the bathroom outside if there’s a distraction, as she’ll bark. So much so, if any distraction, such as kids or other animals, get close to her, she will bark so much, her bark will crack and she’ll urinate. I’m unsure of what to do, and the vet recommended a distraction bag, and it still hasn’t been a success.

Story
This heeler gal is looking for a new home. If you play fetch with her she will become your best friend. Fetch is her favorite thing ever! Maggie has great skills in: -Manners! She knows how to sit, stay, place, and kennel with the best of them! She went to our PACK Program and learned all kinds of fun things. -Snuggling! She enjoys a good snuggle with her people after a game of fetch. -Playtime! Maggie likes to play with her humans the most. If toys are put up and the dog is submissive, she may get along with them. If your home has kids older than 10 (little ones freak her out a bit), and are looking for a dog to play fetch with, she may be a good fit for you. She doesn't love kitty cats, so it's best she isn't in a home with them. When it comes to the other dogs, we will do a dog meeting to make sure it's a match. She would also thrive being the only queen in the house. Apply to meet this beauty today! Thank you to PJ's photography for the excellent photos of Maggie!

Story
*** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION, FOSTER, or FOSTER TO ADOPT *** Meet Tucker! He is currently in our P.A.C.K. Program, a 9-week intensive program for routine obedience, agility, and handling training with a prison inmate trainer and he is almost ready to show off his new skills! His new abilities include 'sit', 'wave', 'shake' and more! New adopters should realize that PACK Program graduates will require regular, ongoing reinforcement of learned behaviors in order for them to become permanent. Tucker has the biggest and brightest smile. Before his journeyt to PACK, he was in another WY shelter for many months, being over looked. At PACK, he has throughly enjoyed being outside, and either playing with his ball or some of the other dogs. He does fairly well with all the dogs, but definately does best with females, or males smaller than him. He is great at playing down to their level. He also really wants attention and cuddles from people, once he trusts them. He is continuously working on meeting strangers nor things that are out of the ordinary for him. He becomes uncertain at times when put in this position, but is diligently working on it. Before PACK, Tucker was in a foster home with kids, but since he can become a bit nervous with new people and noises, older kids will be the beset for him. He also lived with a cat and did great! He is house trained and kennel trained. Wouldn't you love to wake up to Tucker's smiling face every day? If so, apply to meet him! He will graduate towards the beginning of February.

Story
If you’re into running, biking, hiking (anything outdoors), cuddling, and laughing, then Kyah is your girl!    Kyah is a 10-year-old blue heeler/Catahoula mix. Kyah is shy and unsure when you first meet her, but once she warms up to you, she is a ball of love. Kyah has never lost her puppy spirit, as she loves to play with all her favorite toys (her Sasquatch stuffed animal is her favorite).  Kyah was abused as a puppy, so she has her quirks. She needs someone who will be patient with her as they learn her personality. She would be best in an active home with one person or an active couple. A home with no kids would be the best option.   Kyah has been very compatible with cats in past experiences. December 2, 2024, 5:53 pm

Hey there, I'm Odie! I'm a ball of energy in the form of a dog. I love to run, play, and explore, so I'm hoping to find a home with a big yard where I can get lots of exercise. I've got some doggie friends, but I think I might prefer to be the only four-legged pal in the house. I'm great with kids and would make a fantastic addition to a loving family. Let's go on long walks and have fun together!November 5, 2024, 1:55 pm

Story
Hi my name is Kylo. I am a sweet, well behaved, curious, smart, loyal (to a fault) boy. I want to know what you are doing all the time. If you are opening up an Amazon box I need to check it out, if you are washing the floor I am there to help. I know the vacuum is a terrible villain and try to attack it. My Foster Mom asks me to step away from the villian but I stay close just in case it tries to attack her. I had 2 dog sisters at my foster house and had so much fun with them running and playing. I love all my toys and only take the squeakers out of them. Any kind of ball is my very favorite toy. I will play fetch with you all day long. I am really good at returning the ball and releasing it at your feet. I can sit (but not for long) and shake. I can learn anything if you are willing to teach me. I participate in the outdoor play group so I can meet and play with all the other shelter dogs, which I love to do. I would do great with other dogs in my future home around the same size as me or larger. I like walks as long as you use my easy walk harness because I will try to play tug of war with the leash if you hook it to my collar. I will go to my kennel without question if you give me a treat. I am extremely food motivated and will do anything you ask if you have a cookie for me. I will seem a little anxious when you are preparing my food but I am very respectful of the other dogs when their bowls are put down before mine. Please ask about me today! :)

Story
ADOPTION FEE: $425 Meet Delgado! This sweet adorable boy is ready for his forever home! From his amazing foster 1/13: " Sweet boy Delgado is SO smart! I am not sure if he already knew how to do and it just a refresher but I taught him how to lay down in only about 5 minutes! He is such a smart guy!! As well as this, I also noticed that he likes to rush the door when going outside for walks or to go potty, because of this I worked with developing some patience by asking his to sit patiently, even when reaching to open the door. This took him a little bit longer to pick up but he definitely got it on the last day he was with me. He LOVES some frozen peanut butter in a Kong and this was a great way to keep him busy and worked as an enrichment as I also put some treats in the kong before adding the peanut butter. And most importantly, he was exposed to a lot of little ones during the few days that I had him. I have nieces ages 2,5 and 7 and he was an absolute angel around them. He was so gentle, sweet and respected their space so much! He's a curious and playful pooch who loves making new friends—both human and canine—and is always up for an adventure. He's a smart cookie who learns quickly and is always up for a challenge. He's a true social butterfly who loves everyone he meets, and he's sure to make you laugh with his funny antics. He would make a great adventure buddy and is a great companion for anyone looking for a loyal and loving furry friend. If you're looking for a fun, furry, and affectionate companion, look no further than Delgado! We are a foster-based rescue and generally do not have pups available to meet at our office except during adoption events on Saturdays. Not every dog attends every adoption event. Interested in this pup? The first step is to complete our online application by clicking the "Apply for Adoption" button. Please note that we are only able to finalize adoptions at events for approved adopters. The earlier you apply, the better as it takes time to review and approve applications. We host adoption events almost every Saturday from 11:00am to 2:00pm at our rescue office (1721 W Harmony, unit 102, Fort Collins, Co 80526)! Check our Instagram and/or Facebook page for info on where we will be hosting adoptions this weekend! All Aboard Animal Rescue saves dogs and puppies from high-kill shelters in other states. These pups are brought to Colorado, where they are required to be spayed or neutered - breaking the cycle of unwanted litters of puppies who end up as strays! Please consider supporting us in this mission by adopting, fostering, volunteering, or donating.
