The shelter reached out, hoping we could help get Porter on a better path  one focused on healing and comfort in his golden years. And of course, we said yes. Porter was picked up today and went straight to his medical foster home. Together, we’ll work on helping him gain weight and address several painful masses that will need surgical removal. Follow along on Porter’s journey and see how love, patience, and proper care can truly transform a life. Porter is friendly, loving good with dogs and cats plus adult of all sizes.  ##2640484##

Story
✨ Meet Mama Star ✨ Mama Star is a true hero with a heart of pure gold. This sweet girl was found hiding on an abandoned desert property where coyotes had already claimed the lives of other mamas and puppies. Against all odds, Mama Star survived — and not only that — she was lovingly nursing five puppies, three of whom weren’t even her own. She stepped in when they had no one else. Still just a baby herself at 12–18 months old, Mama Star showed strength, gentleness, and devotion beyond words. Now it’s her turn to be cared for. At just 10.5 lbs, Mama Star is the perfect little companion — affectionate, playful, and endlessly loving. She has a soft, nurturing soul and a happy, puppy-like spirit that shines the moment you meet her. She loves people, enjoys playtime, and is just as content snuggling close as she is exploring the world around her. Mama Star is: • ⭐ Fully vaccinated • ⭐ Spayed • ⭐ Microchipped • ⭐ A total lovebug If you’re looking for a dog who embodies resilience, kindness, and unconditional love, Mama Star might be your once-in-a-lifetime match. Some dogs don’t just walk into your life — they shine their way in. 💌 Interested in adopting Mama Star? Please email info@concernedcitizensanimalrescue.org to receive an adoption application. She saved lives. Now let her change yours. 💫🐶💛

Story
Meet Mila Mila was rescued after a networker saw a litter of puppies being given away outside of a strip mall in Bellflower. She and her sister are now safe and thriving. Mila is a terrier mix with a playful, spirited personality and a sweet, gentle side. She has those classic puppy energy bursts, but she also loves to cuddle once she has had her fun. Her Lamb Chop toy is her absolute favorite, and she happily switches between playtime and snuggle time. She is doing well with her routine in foster care. Mila and her sister take regular naps in their pen and are building great potty habits using pads. They understand that their pen is a calm, cozy space for resting and treats. Based on her current growth and her mom’s size of 29 lbs., we anticipate Mila will likely be in the 20 to 30 lbs. range full grown. Mila would thrive in a home ready for normal puppy energy, continued training, and plenty of love and engagement. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application at hitlivingfoundation.org/adopt. DOB: 12/17/25 Adoption Fee: $800

Story
Ryder is the total package! This sweet and lovable Cairn terrier mix is the definition of a loyal companion. With a laid-back, easy-going nature, Ryder is happy to hang out with you on the couch or play fetch in the yard — especially if there are doggie snacks involved! Ryder was rescued at 8 weeks old from Hesperia Shelter, with a sibling who passed from parvo soon after they arrived. Ryder never developed parvo and has been healthy since that time. He gets along wonderfully with kids and other dogs, and his non-shedding coat makes him a great option for families who prefer less fur around the house. Ryder’s calm, affectionate, and loyal personality makes him an ideal addition to just about any home. He is microchipped, neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. Ryder is currently being fostered in San Bernadino County, CA and must be picked up from there. For adoption information, please contact AlphaDogPetRescue@yahoo.com
