Little Millie is a 4 mo old female whose Mom is a Schnauzer Border Terrier mix. Momma was tied to a pole in the Desert at a school Bus Stop and seven puppies running loose...Big Coyote Country. Thank goodness a Lady took them home. We have placed Mom and Four puppies and still have Rosie, Millie and Rihanna left. They have soft wiry coats, black with white markings like mom. Mom weighs 28 lbs and has a great temperament and the puppies are fat happy and playful...little darling girls who love toys and learn quickly, gentle and loving. They have been given first shots and microchipped. Our adoption fee is $225 and you can email for our application at Alphadogpetrescue@yahoo.com. They are located near Hesperia Calif.

Story
Sunrise is a 2-year-old dog who was at our organization last year. He was adopted, but sadly got returned in early January. Even though he’s been through a lot, Sunrise is still a very sweet and loving dog. He is affectionate, loyal, and enjoys being around people. Sunrise loves to cuddle and stay close to his humans, making him a great companion for someone looking for a calm and caring dog. He has a gentle personality and would do well in a home where he can get lots of attention and love. Sunrise is ready for a second chance with a family who will give him the forever home he deserves.

Story
We hope that you may like to meet a little one we have named Benjamin. He looked like the saddest, lost, downtrodden, little boy when he was found in Chatsworth Park, abandoned by his people. Our friends at the animal shelter sent the owners on the microchip a letter and numerous phone calls, but never got a response. He is doing much better, as he had been badly neglected and lost some hair due to flea dermatitis and probably not the best dog food. He is becoming more happy now that he is being taken care of. Benjamin is a little angel, around 9 or 10 years old, and probably cannot understand why his people didn’t want him anymore. But he’s coming out of his shell now that he’s receiving some love and attention. Benjamin is around 15 pounds, healthy, neutered, microchipped, has all his vaccinations, and lots of love to offer. Story
Dwayne is an affable 4.5 year old border terrier who came to me as a runaway in 2022 at 4 months. He is playful and affectionate and very obedient. Truly he’s the embodiment of the “man’s best friend” cliché. I’ve loved being his parent and it’s so heartbreaking to have to rehome him. My life circumstances changed; I don’t have the resources and support system I once did to give him the life he deserves. He will thrive with a couple, family or single person with some outside space or the ability to get out regularly and hike or run in a park/field. I work 4x days in the office and 1 day remotely. He can be alone for some time but ideally he has some company and activity a few days of the week, if you’ll be at work. For example: doggie day care or babysitting or a long mid-day walk 2 or 3X during weekdays. On weekends he’s content with walks but a visit to the beach or bigger outing is great. He eats grain free food and has a sensitivity to foods with grains. Are you his forever home?

Story
Winston HB is a 3 year old neutered male Border Terrier Mix who came to us as a stray from Hermosa Beach. This sweet boy has a loving personality and is eager to please. He’s already picking up new tricks and enjoys spending time learning alongside his people. Winston is great with kids and other dogs, making him a wonderful fit for a family looking for a loyal and affectionate companion. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Please visit our social media platforms for the specifics for each weekend as it changes from week to week. Please find our application at lovejoyfoundation.org when you come to an event please bring that filled out in hand with you. You can find our application at Lovejoyfoundation.org. Please note a Petfinder and Adoptapet Inquiry is not applying for the dog. You have to come to the event or send an email inquiry to our records email.
