Story
✨ Meet Mama Star ✨ Mama Star is a true hero with a heart of pure gold. This sweet girl was found hiding on an abandoned desert property where coyotes had already claimed the lives of other mamas and puppies. Against all odds, Mama Star survived — and not only that — she was lovingly nursing five puppies, three of whom weren’t even her own. She stepped in when they had no one else. Still just a baby herself at 12–18 months old, Mama Star showed strength, gentleness, and devotion beyond words. Now it’s her turn to be cared for. At just 10.5 lbs, Mama Star is the perfect little companion — affectionate, playful, and endlessly loving. She has a soft, nurturing soul and a happy, puppy-like spirit that shines the moment you meet her. She loves people, enjoys playtime, and is just as content snuggling close as she is exploring the world around her. Mama Star is: • ⭐ Fully vaccinated • ⭐ Spayed • ⭐ Microchipped • ⭐ A total lovebug If you’re looking for a dog who embodies resilience, kindness, and unconditional love, Mama Star might be your once-in-a-lifetime match. Some dogs don’t just walk into your life — they shine their way in. 💌 Interested in adopting Mama Star? Please email info@concernedcitizensanimalrescue.org to receive an adoption application. She saved lives. Now let her change yours. 💫🐶💛

Story
Sunrise is a 2-year-old dog who was at our organization last year. He was adopted, but sadly got returned in early January. Even though he’s been through a lot, Sunrise is still a very sweet and loving dog. He is affectionate, loyal, and enjoys being around people. Sunrise loves to cuddle and stay close to his humans, making him a great companion for someone looking for a calm and caring dog. He has a gentle personality and would do well in a home where he can get lots of attention and love. Sunrise is ready for a second chance with a family who will give him the forever home he deserves.

Story
If you’re looking for a bold, hilarious, and endlessly entertaining puppy, Tater Tot is your girl! This little 6-pound bundle of energy is SO rambunctious and absolutely lives for playtime. She loves spotting her sister from across the room, sneaking up like a tiny lion, and pouncing with full puppy enthusiasm. Tater Tot is fearless and curious—she climbs stairs all by herself, explores everything in sight, and proudly tests out her adorable little bark. She’s always on the move, whether she’s chewing sticks, zooming around, or initiating playtime (she’s definitely the instigator between her and her sister!). While she’s not much of a cuddlebug just yet, she makes up for it with her goofy personality and those classic “puppy shark teeth” nibbles. She may mellow a bit once she’s on her own, but right now she’s all about fun, action, and adventure. She’s already making great progress with potty training—sleeping through the night and starting to signal when she needs to go out. Like any young pup, she’s still learning, but she’s off to a fantastic start! Tater Tot may look like a mini Lab, but her playful, spunky personality definitely hints at her terrier side. One thing’s for sure—she’s 100% adorable and ready to bring joy, laughter, and a little bit of chaos into her forever home. Ready to meet your tiny, fearless sidekick? Tater Tot can’t wait to meet you!

Story
This pretty little lady is Phoebe! Phoebe came to us when a cat rescuer we work with told us how she was contacted by her neighbor regarding a little dog that was dumped on the streets and being chased by coyotes. Thankfully, the neighbor got her to safety, but could not hold onto her longer than overnight. Our cat rescuer friend got Phoebe scanned for a microchip (she didn't have one) and for a little over a week tried to find the owner, but nobody ever came to claim her. We took this sweet girl into our foundation and had her fully vetted. Phoebe is a female, approx 3 year old, approx 12lb, Border/Norfolk Terrier that is the most delightful dog you will ever meet! We would love to see her in a home with another playful and good natured dog or she could go into a home where the owners are not gone long hours during the day and would continue to socialize her. Phoebe most likely never had the love that every dog deserves, so we promised her that we will find her that home...filled with love and happiness. Phoebe is vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. We only adopt in So Calif as an in person meet/greet, home check, and trial period are required. Please contact us at gina@theforgottendog.org or 310-990-2020

Winston HB is a 3 year old neutered male Border Terrier Mix who came to us as a stray from Hermosa Beach. This sweet boy has a loving personality and is eager to please. He’s already picking up new tricks and enjoys spending time learning alongside his people. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Please visit our social media platforms for the specifics for each weekend as it changes from week to week. Please find our application at lovejoyfoundation.org when you come to an event please bring that filled out in hand with you. You can find our application at Lovejoyfoundation.org.
