Story
Hi, I'm Carrie, and I'd like to formally apologize to your toy box... because it's about to be empty forever.
I settled into foster life in approximately 12 seconds. Seriously, there was no dramatic adjustment period. I walked in, made friends with the resident dogs, claimed every toy as my personal property, and got right to work supervising the household. Efficiency is one of my many talents.
I'm a confident, happy girl with a steady supply of energy. I wake up ready for adventure, enjoy a nice long walk (though my foster human insists it's "too hot" to walk as long as I'd like), then spend the rest of the day playing until I finally decide a nap sounds acceptable. If you ask me, there's no such thing as too much playtime.
Speaking of toys... I have a system. First, I remove every single toy from the toy box. Every. Single. One. Then I stick my entire head and shoulders inside the box and roll around like I've discovered buried treasure. It's adorable, and I refuse to stop.
I'm also extremely food motivated. Some might even say... opportunistic. Leave your dinner unattended? Congratulations, you've accidentally entered a sharing agreement that only I knew about. I also believe begging is simply enthusiastic menu appreciation. My foster mom disagrees, so I'm learning that people food isn't actually part of my meal plan.
I love hanging out with other dogs! I happily snuggle with the younger pup, respectfully coexist with the older one, and would really love a forever home with a canine buddy to romp around with. I enjoy people too! I might be just a tiny bit shy for a minute, but curiosity wins every time, and before long I'm following you everywhere to see what you're up to. If you sit down, don't be surprised if I decide we should hang out together.
Nothing really rattles me. Cars? Trucks? Loud noises? Big deal. I'm confident on walks, ride nicely in the car (although I'd prefer shotgun, thank you very much), and generally approach life like everything is going to work out.
I'm almost completely house-trained, but I do have... standards. Finding the perfect potty spot is a serious business decision, and I refuse to rush the process. Sometimes I'll hold it forever while conducting an extensive property inspection. My foster family is patiently helping me figure out that perfection isn't always necessary.
One important thing to know: I have a long body, so keeping me at a healthy weight will help keep my back happy for years to come. Fewer table scraps means more healthy adventures together—and honestly, I can be bribed with my own treats just as easily.
If you're looking for a sweet, playful, toy-hoarding, people-following, snack-inspecting, furniture-loving goofball who will keep you laughing every day, I think we're going to get along just fine. Just... maybe eat your pizza before I notice it.
