Hi, I'm Esteban! If you're looking for a best friend who will stick by your side through life's adventures, I think we should meet.
I'm a sweet, goofy puppy with a personality that's hard not to love. My favorite place is right next to my people, and I'll happily follow you from room to room just to see what you're up to.
Most of the time, I'm a pretty chill guy. I love hanging out with my foster family, soaking up attention, and just being part of whatever you're doing. Every now and then, the puppy zoomies kick in! That's when I love to chase and play with my dog friends before settling back down for some cuddles. I also love spending time outside on cool summer evenings, especially if I get to be with my favorite people.
I'm friendly with everyone I meet, including kids! I've also spent time around chickens and ducks and have done just fine. I haven't met any cats yet, but my humans think I may do well with a slow, proper introduction.
Since I'm still a puppy, I have a few things I'm learning. I've started potty training outside, but I'll need a patient family to continue helping me with that, as well as leash training and getting comfortable in a crate. Right now, I stay in an x-pen, and if I'm put in a kennel, I might cry or whine for a few seconds before settling down. With consistency, encouragement, and lots of love, I know I'll keep making great progress.
If you've been dreaming of a loyal little shadow who will make you laugh with his goofy personality, play when it's time for fun, and happily curl up beside you afterward, I just might be your perfect match. I have so much love to give, and I know I'll make someone incredibly happy.
Esteban is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 7/25/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Visit our Foster to Adopt Program page to learn more. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
