WEIGHT: ~17LBS.Here's Lana! Has her sights set on a forever home, just hasn't quite focused in on THE ONE. She has been living in a foster home. Here is what her foster has to say about her:"She is the sweetest little doggy, full of life and energy and curiosity. She seems overall very well behaved, eager to please and easily accepted a routine. She is a little insecure, but I think in the right "forever home" she would be a wonderful addition. As for behavior with strangers and other dogs, she seems fine. I walk her at least twice a day and she has never barked at any dog; she has approached neighbors and friends calmly, with normal tail position. The only thing she did once, when my brother appeared at the back door was that jumping up and down like a jumping bean and barking. I made her sit and calm down, and then my brother came in the house. After that she never did that again when he came in the back door."Because she's in foster, she's not able to be viewed during Browsing Hours. Story
*** Courtesy Posting *** Bergy joined us from the Jurupa Valley Animal Shelter in early March 2024. She caught our eye because she was incredibly underweight and seemed lonely. We pulled her after learning her time in the shelter was limited. This beautiful, sweet little girl is microchipped, fully vaccinated and will be spayed prior to adoption. She is now at a healthy weight of 28 pounds. Bergy is estimated to be approximately 2 years old and guessed to be a terrier mixed breed, perhaps Boston Terrier. She bonded quickly with the four dogs in her foster home, as well as 10-year twin children. She especially likes playing chase around in the yard with another dog and plays tug of war with ropes and other stuffed dog toys. Bergy does well being in her crate when left alone in the house and sleeps quietly in her crate in a separate room during the night. Bergy is accustomed to being inside and is housebroken (of course she will need to learn the rules at your house.) Bergy enjoys walks and sniffs along the way, Bergy would benefit from leash training to learn not to pull, as well as enforce basic commands such as heel, sit, down, stay, etc... Being a terrier, she is also highly prey driven and loves to chase animals such as lizards and birds. It is unknown how she will react to cats. Bergy’s goals in life are to be cuddled, loved and play. Every morning when her foster mom takes her out of her crate for breakfast Bergy throws both paws on her mom’s shoulders and kisses face. She is a sweet dog and will be a loving devoted companion to a lucky family. Bergy is an alpha female and needs to be in a home with a dog that will be submissive to her or as an only dog. While she seems to be fine sharing toys and treats, she is protective of her food and should eat in her own area if there is another dog around. Bergy Is being fostered in Temecula California. Her foster parents are willing to travel to the Bay Area for potential adopters to meet Bergy. If you think your home is a good match for Bergy, please email Sue at dogs@s2springer.com and describe a bit about the home you would provide for her.

Story
Meeko, a confident Boston Terrier of excruciating cuteness, has an announcement: Just because a dog can't see very well doesn't mean they can't have opinions, play hide and seek, go on long walks, climb stairs, hang out with kids or be house trained. In fact, adds Meeko, who is the dog of whom she speaks, they can also sing, roll, goof around, and hunt down pets and scritches, often all at the same time. Footnote: Meeko says she is slim, fit and friendly but draws the line at taking out the garbage. Fair! Here's some notes from her foster: Meeko is a wonderful little gal. She sure doesn't act her age. She is very agile and loves to go on a fast pace walk. She can do stairs and even can jump up into the couch. She plays with toys and loves a Kong stuffed with cream cheese for a snack. She is a great eater and will sit when asked. She has been great with my 2-1/2 yr old granddaughter and is fantastic with other dogs. She will be a wonderful addition to a family that will give her the forever home she deserves.

Story
Sabaka is absolutely wonderful with people. She has never even nipped. She loves walks and she will take every bit of attention you give her. She can be crated at night, and travels well. She typically doesn't bark, but will yip when excited. Overall she is very low maintenance and would make a great pet for someone of any age. Please adopt her as she deserves a loving home. She is being taken to the SPCA animal shelter tomorrow 😢
