He's affectionate, soft-coated, and adores other dogs. Whether he's tearing around the yard or settling into your lap for an afternoon of work-from-home companionship, this little guy knows how to make every moment count! Daily routine This boy starts his day bright and early, usually between 6-7am, when his humans rise. Breakfast follows around 6:30–7:00am, lunch between 1:00–2:30pm, and dinner around 6–7pm. By 8–9pm, he's settling in for the night—currently on the couch next to his humans as he adjusts to life as a solo pup. He eats puppy kibble, enjoys dog treats, and gets the occasional bully stick. Since he's not fully vaccinated yet, he's not going on walks, but he gets plenty of playtime at home and in the yard—which he absolutely loves. When no one is home, he stays in his x-pen. On three weekdays, that's typically from about 7:45am until early afternoon. He'll voice his opinion at first about being left alone, but settles down for naps.  When the family is home, Linus rotates between supervised time roaming the house and joyful zoomies in the yard. He's the best companion for work-from-home days, checking in on you throughout the day and happily hanging out in the kitchen while you do housework. If you're at the computer, he'd love nothing more than an invitation to curl up in your lap—where he'll stay as long as you let him, perfectly content to nap while you work. He's an official lap dog for life! Personality & play Linus is a playful, puppy with lots of enthusiasm for life. He loves tug-of-war, running with kids, and racing around the yard—especially through leaf piles. If he finds a leaf or stick, it instantly becomes his favorite treasure. He adores people of all ages, including kids (9–14), greeting everyone with excitement, kisses, and requests to be picked up. He's affectionate, enjoys laps and being held, and is especially cuddly when he's winding down. This sweet boy loves belly rubs and has transformed into a total cuddle bug, now taking naps all over the house as long as he's close to his humans. His treat time personality is absolutely hilarious. The moment he hears the crinkling bag, he becomes a comedy show—frantically alternating between jumping with excitement and sitting down to wait for the command, as if two voices in his head are battling it out ('sit!' 'jump!' 'sit!' 'jump!'). But once you actually say 'sit,' he locks it in and resists the urge to bounce. Training & habits He's learning to potty outside and uses pads well for poop, though he still has occasional pee accidents elsewhere in the house. He does well with 'come' and 'sit' commands. As a puppy, he does nip and chew, especially when excited or teething, but he's easily redirected to toys and is learning quickly. With other dogs Linus was a wonderful companion to his foster brother Blaze. They played beautifully together and shared sweet daily moments—like walking to the x-pen together at bedtime and putting themselves to bed! When Blaze wasn't feeling well one day, Linus showed his gentle side, licking his friend's face instead of playing. But he's also proven he can thrive as an only dog, enjoying both attention from his humans and independent time exploring the yard or napping nearby. Why you'll love him Linus is emotionally tuned in, always checking on his people. He's funny, loving, endlessly entertaining, and can be both an enthusiastic playmate and a peaceful lap companion. He's independent enough to entertain himself but devoted enough to always want to be near you—the kind of puppy who leaves paw prints on your heart and who will happily end every day with one last cuddle before bed.February 12, 2026, 1:22 am

Adoption fee: $750 Meet Chef Boyardee! 2 years old * 17 lbs * Pug   Straight from the shelter to the test kitchen, Chef Boyardee is serving up a full-course meal of fun, energy, and pure pug personality. At just about 2 years old and 17 pounds, this compact little chef is proof that big flavor really does come in small packages.   A Day in the Life of the Chef Chef starts his mornings between 7–8am and immediately insists on his signature opening act: a 30-minute walk to inspect the neighborhood and gather inspiration. Once back home, he enjoys breakfast right away before settling into his x-pen to relax and recharge. In the afternoon, he heads out for a shorter walk, followed by some mental enrichment— puzzle toys, Kongs, chew bones, or a little training session to sharpen his skills.   Around 6pm, Chef is back on duty for his longest walk of the day (30–40 minutes), then it’s time for dinner. Evenings are reserved for what he does best: dramatically emptying the entire toy bin and sampling every option before bedtime. He finishes his day with a short walk around 9:30pm and sleeps in his crate in the living room. He may protest briefly when crated, but he settles quickly and sleeps through the night like a professional.   Personality & Training Chef Boyardee is extremely playful and goofy! Squeaky toys are a personal favorite, and he loves a good chase— he’s surprisingly fast and can keep up with even speedy dogs. While he’s not much of a lap dog, he does enjoy staying close, just in case a ball might be thrown at any moment. When he first arrived, Chef was still learning the basics. Since then, he’s added sit, wait, leave it, and spin to his growing skill set. Training is ongoing, but he’s very food motivated and eager to learn with consistency and patience. His signature move? An adorable counterclockwise spin that comes out whenever he’s excited.   Social Life Chef loves other dogs and wants to play constantly. He’s still learning polite play skills and how to read when another dog isn’t in the mood, but he’s making steady progress. He hasn’t been around kids yet, but he adores all the humans he’s met on walks. He’s met a cat once and showed interest but also some uncertainty; he may be an option with cats if slow intros and initial separation is possible. He also rides beautifully in the car—quiet, calm, and ready for the next adventure.   Leash Skills On leash, he’s a work in progress. He pulls, barks at other dogs out of excitement, and lunges toward cars, so continued leash training will be important. He has learned “leave it” on walks (especially when treats are involved) and loves picking up interesting treasures like sticks, pinecones, and rocks along the way.   Home Life & Habits Chef is mostly housetrained and has had no accidents after initial few days in new environments. He is crate trained and settles after a brief whine. He does enjoy chewing and sometimes thinks fingers are toys, so redirection with appropriate chew toys is key. He may bark when new people come over, but once he knows them, he switches from barking to enthusiastic, jumpy greetings.   Why Chef Boyardee? Chef is joyful, goofy, and always ready for whatever comes next. He’s the kind of dog who brings constant motion, laughter, and positivity into your life. With his expressive pug face, happy-go-lucky attitude, and food-motivated brain, he’s a wonderful candidate for someone excited to continue training and channel his enthusiasm. If you’re looking for a dog who approaches life with tail wags, spins, and an unshakable zest for adventure, Chef Boyardee is ready to take your order.February 12, 2026, 1:22 am
