Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Little Stewie is a sweet, shy puppy who turns into a total cuddlebug once he warms up.  This spunky boy is great with other dogs and has even done well meeting a cat.  When he has a playful dog friend, he loves zoomies and running around, but if he’s the only dog, he’s happy to just relax by your side.    Stewie is a puppy, and is still working on house training, crate manners, and leash walking, so he’ll need a consistent schedule and a patient home to help him learn.  Stewie does sometimes cry in his crate because he’d much rather be snuggled up next to his person, and he gets so excited he may jump up to say hello.  He has a little allergy irritation around his eyes that just needs to be kept clean.   Stewie would be a wonderful fit for a loving home, especially one with an older child who can appreciate his gentle, sensitive nature. Stewie is up to date on vaccines. Wag On Inn will arrange for neuter at The Spay and Neuter Center of New Jersey in Holmdel. Adopters must live within driving distance of Holmdel, NJ. His adoption fee is $550.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training  prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. Story
Tom, Boston Terrier, Brown and White, Male neutered, 3-4 years old Tom can be a little shy at first, but he warms up when you spend a little time with him.  He enjoys getting pets and treats!  Tom would benefit from a family that can continue to work on his basic training, and socialization.  He has lived with other dogs before, but does seem afraid of cats.    **This dog is at the Ocean County Animal Facility North located at 615 Fremont Ave, Jackson NJ (off of Hope Chapel Rd).  All dogs are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and have age appropriate shots.** To adopt our dogs you must come to the facility with your entire family, including dogs, to meet with our staff and the dog you are interested in. Story
Pebbles is a 6 1/2 tiny powerhouse wrapped in a black and white tux, a little love comet who does everything with her whole heart. She loves fiercely, plays with gusto, and carries herself like she is training for the Ball Catching Olympics. Truly, you could toss a ball into another galaxy and she would still find a way to snag it. Her talent is legendary and honestly pretty adorable. Once you are her person, Pebbles melts right into your lap and showers you with her signature enthusiastic kisses. She currently lives with foster brothers, but she is more of a polite roommate than a play buddy. Her real joys are exploring the yard, sniffing the breeze, and stretching out like a tiny sun worshipper. Pebbles is crate trained, housebroken, and wonderfully devoted. She prefers a home without little kids, and if there is another dog, they will need to be the right fit for her sparkling and specific personality. Pebbles is ready to be someone’s best friend, the kind who brings light, laughter, and world class athletic moves. If interested, please apply at pittiesandpals.com. Many other dogs need our help, please consider donating or sponsoring a dog, if possible. 100% of all money received from adoption fees and donations goes directly back to support saving other dogs through Pitties and Pals Rescue. Pitties and Pals is a 501c(3) non-profit and we are 100 percent volunteer based. Please consider donating. We appreciate your support. Visit pittiesandpals.com.

Story
Coyota, Boston Terrier, Brindle and White, Female spayed, 1-2 years old Coyota can be a little on the shy and timid side at first, but does warm up when you spend some time with her.  She would benefit from a family that can give her the time she needs to adjust to her new home, and would do best with children over the age of 10 years old, as younger children may be too much for her.  Coyota does not seem to prefer the company of other dogs or cats, and would do best as your one and only fur baby. Story
Anise was found as a stray and brought to the Associated Humane Society of Newark. She struggled in the shelter environment, clearly having lived in a home. Despite the stress, she bonded to the staff of the shelter and welcomed love and attention. She is estimated to be about 9 years old and is 16 pounds. She is very active and exciteable, so this senior lady still have many many happy years ahead of her should the right family give her space to flourish! We believe little Anise probably had puppies at one point, but is now spayed and recovering well. Anise walks very excitedly on the leash, and wants to meet most people who pass her by. She loves to cuddle with you, and like a typical terrier likes to dig and snuffle in your lap or on the couch. She could go home with a compatible pup. But no kitties, birds, or small mammals for this little lady. She absolutely loves to chase birds and watch them do their bird things. She would love to walk with you, or even run if you're up for it! She is completely housebroken and doesn't mind her crate. Anise has an adorable underbite! Anise is a sweet girl looking for a second chance at life with a family who will cherish her and understand her terrier-ness! Anise is currently in a foster home in Atlantic Highlands, NJ. We are hoping for a Christmas Miracle- so she can spend this holiday season with a furever family... Could that be you? We are open to fostering-to-adopt, and happy to set up meet and greets with those who apply!
