Story
Meet Ian – Your Slightly Wonky, Totally Wonderful Adventure Buddy If you like piña coladas and getting caught in the rain… Ian might just be your perfect match. This little Boston Terrier mix lives life full throttle—zooming through the yard like he’s racing in the Indy 500, making pit stops in imaginary swamps with Shrek, and embracing every muddy, joy-filled moment along the way (bonus points if you don’t mind getting a little dirty with him). Ian is a young, playful pup with a heart as big as his personality. He came into rescue with a shattered hip that has since healed, leaving him with an adorable “wonky” gait. When he runs, his back leg sometimes flails out to the side—but it doesn’t slow him down one bit. If anything, it just makes him even more unforgettable. Personality & Play Style: Ian is a social, toy-loving goofball who thrives on fun. He always has a toy in his mouth—seriously, always. He’ll take them outside, bring them back in, and politely “check” them at the door until you hand them back. He loves playing with other dogs, especially games of chase and keep-away. After playtime, Ian enjoys winding down with his favorite toy and appreciates a little personal space during his chill time. Because of this, he’d do best with a laid-back, respectful dog companion—especially one around his size or slightly smaller who won’t bother him when he’s relaxing. Snuggles Included: Once the zoomies are out, Ian is all about couch time. He’ll curl up beside you, toy in tow, and drift off while you watch TV. The perfect mix of playful and snuggly. Communication Style (aka his signature move): Ian has the best voice—a raspy, screechy, baby pterodactyl sound that he proudly uses to let you know when he’s ready to come out of his crate or needs a potty break. It’s hilarious, endearing, and very effective. He’ll also quietly go sit by the door, so keep an eye out—he’s a good boy who just needs you to notice his polite signals. Mealtime & Care: Ian is an enthusiastic foodie, so he uses a slow feeder bowl to keep mealtime safe and comfortable. Medical Transparency: Due to his past injury, Ian has diabetes insipidus. The good news: • No injections required • Managed with oral medication twice daily • Just needs a few extra potty breaks His condition is well-managed, and he’s living a happy, active, zoomie-filled life. The Perfect Home for Ian: • An active home that enjoys play, laughter, and a little chaos • A consistent adopter who can manage his simple medical routine • A respectful dog companion—or he’d love being your one and only • Someone who appreciates a quirky, lovable personality Ian isn’t just a dog—he’s an experience. He’ll make you laugh daily, keep life interesting, and then curl up next to you like he’s always belonged there. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Meet Ginger! An adorable senior with the soul of a puppy. Ginger must be an only pet. She does not like to share her humans or her possessions. She divides her time equally between playing and cuddling. She gets a little grumbly if you decide to end either before she's ready but she does correct easily. I wouldn't recommend a home with kids because of her desire not to share. This sweet girl has a history of struvite crystals and does require observations for flareups. She also has dry eye and will need prescription eye ointment lifelong. Otherwise, she is in good health. If you are a strong, patient pack leader and are looking for a cuddly ball of energy, Ginger may be your girl.March 7, 2026, 3:29 pm

Zeus would love to have a 6 foot fenced yard with room to run and play; he used to jump our 4 foot fence.  He doesn't like cats and doesn't like having his nails cut. Up to date on shots, heartworm negative, crate and house trained.  He's a great dog. Please send your phone number to learn more about Zeus. Story
my name is Whit but JUST CALL ME WHITNEY BECAUSE I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU I'm 5.5 I love people, including respectful children I am cat selective: Cats who are mindful of my personal space I ignore, others who maybe don't respect my personal space, I might chase a time or two when I first meet them to let them know I have boundaries that are important to me I am dog selective: Big dogs terrify me, especially ones who think it's ok to be all up in my bidness. Smaller dogs (40lbs and under) are fine unless they, too, can't respect my personal space. I set hard boundaries at first but if they're listened to, I'm good. I'm A+ at walking on a leash and I love going for walks I love bebe stuffies that are my size I was homeless the first 5 years of my life, so I'm still learning what life in a house is like and foster mom says I am a fast learner because I'm so smart. I'm smarter than her own dogs, she says, which is probably why I'm first in line for breakfast every morning because I. Am. Awesome. I love digging at blankets lightning fast to sleep under them forever I snuggle in bed with my people all night I take meals in my crate like a champ Pretty sure I was a pony in a past life because I trot all over the yard like one making foster mom laugh and laugh and laugh I don't like it when people try to remove one of my limbs I LOVE car rides, snuggles, and being close to my people I'm totally vetted, freshly dentaled, and I'm ready for my forever family. Please apply for me, you won't regret it! I'm currently in the Dayton, OH area.

Story
Franky is a very energetic 5 yo male Frenchton (frenchie and Boston mix). He is AKC registered. We got Franky when he was 10 weeks old from Petland in Florence, KY. He did really well with kids and other dogs initially, however, now he does not like kids and try’s to stay away from them. He has nipped at a child, when the child was petting him. Franky does not like other dogs anymore, he will fight with other dogs especially male dogs. Which is the primary reason we are looking to rehome him. He has to be separated from our other dogs and it is hard for us to be able to let him have enough time to run and be his playful self. He is spending a lot of time in his kennel, I can tell he is not happy with that. We want him to be able to not be in the kennel and have a good life. He is a good boy to adults and would be a great companion for someone either male or female.

Story
PETAL is big fun in a small package. She's sassy and silly and always ready for a good time. She loves people and treats and will sit politely for a snack. Petal is about 2 years old and fully grown at just 21 pounds. Our best guess on breed is a beagle/pug/Boston terrier mix. She has an adorable underbite. Petal is a lively girl who would love an active home where she gets plenty of exercise. She needs a home with another playful dog who can match her energetic play style. She's housebroken and crate trained. If you'd like to meet little Petal, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Petal at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. Story
Augie is a charming French Bulldog with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He was found wandering the streets of Cincinnati, and despite every effort, no one came forward to claim him. Now, this little guy is ready for a fresh start and a forever home! Augie is a typical Frenchie — full of spunk, curiosity, and endless affection — but he’s also been through a lot, and he needs someone who will take things at his pace. Augie only wants one person in the home with him. He will be so loyal to that one person. If visitors come over, he will be happy in his crate or in a room with some food and toy. He doesn't want to meet your friends. He also wants to be your only fur baby. Because... he's the perfect baby. Why would you need another one? Once he knows you’re in his corner, he’ll be your loyal, goofy, snuggly sidekick for life. He enjoys short walks, cozy naps, and being part of the action (especially if it involves snacks). If you're the kind of person who believes in second chances and building trust one step at a time, Augie might just be the dog for you. Ready to meet Augie? Fill out an adoption form today and give this sweet boy the gentle forever home he deserves. 💙
