Zeus is a10 year-old Brindle Boston mix, 33 pounds of muscle, with a gentle mouth; he's a very loving guy who loves to play with dogs his size.  He's a bit energetic for smaller dogs, but played with our 10# puppy every day. Zeus would love to have a 6 foot fenced yard with room to run and play; he used to jump our 4 foot fence.  He doesn't like cats and doesn't like having his nails cut. Up to date on shots, heartworm negative, crate and house trained.  He's a great dog. Please send your phone number to learn more about Zeus. Story
Meet MJ! He is a 9yr old beagle/terrier mix. He was found as a stray in KY and ended up in a kill shelter...until we rescued him. He seems to get along with every other dog we have (incl puppies of all ages). He walks well on a leash once he gets over the excitement of being out with you. At only about 40 lbs, he is the perfect sized companion dog. MJ is very smart too and learned to sit for a treat & give his paw within 5mins. His aim is to please :) We find that he doesn't like to be without people in general but that's not to say that he likes all people and is definately picky about who he trusts. The ideal home would have someone around rather than leaving him for the workday and would have some dog training knowledge about how to handle a fear aggressive dog. We can no longer bring him to adoption events since many in the general public do not know how to read a dog's body language (he does give signs when he's uncomfortable). We would recommend a low-traffic household for sure because of the potential fear aggressive bite and someone with experience in dealing with this behavior. Our adoption fee is $325 and all of our pets come with full vet records.  All animals are up to date on vaccinations & dewormed.  Unless otherwise indicated, puppies are NOT spayed or neutered since our vet recommends waiting until 6mos of age to do so.  Please keep in mind we are a Rescue Group and most of our pups come to us with little or no background info regarding breed, eventual size, age or prior health issues. We rely on the expertise of our veterinarians and make estimates based on past experience. Also, when you're adopting from a Rescue, you should ask questions! You should always get shot/medication records and the rescue should have had the dog for a bit of time to check for disease. Take the time to educate yourself before adopting. A reputable rescue will have nothing to hide and will answer ALL your questions!!!Please visit our Web Site to see all of the pets we have for adoption. Our site contains information about our adoption process and fees, our application, and answers to frequently asked questions. Please read it carefully before contacting us. If you are interested in adopting THIS wonderful pet, we strongly encourage you to complete our adoption application now. Once we receive and approve your application, we will notify you of approval. The first application to be received and approved will get 1st choice - be sure that your references are available and willing to speak with us. Thank You Visit us at one of our next adoption days.  Details are on our site under the "How to Adopt" tab. Hope to see you there!March 21, 2024, 12:11 am

Story
NOTE:  If you are seeing this posting, she's still available :) Meet Trixie!  We were told she was born on 1/11/22.  Her mom looked to be a boston terrier mix. Trix is tipping the scales at 25lbs and is lean because she's always on the go given her age. Trixie is a very sweet girl, who just needs some basic training.  Her fosterhome has a fenced yard and since she has had minimal leash training, that works best at the moment.  She needs routine & some manners to be the perfect family pet.  Trix is up to date on all of her vaccines, is spayed and was tested for HW and tick borne diseases - all were neg.  She has the shiniest sleek black coat we've ever seen on a pup before!  She's very treat motivated and when it comes to taking commands, she's all ears LOL  Her friends are a group of adult dogs as well as a couple of young shepherd mixes that are double her size also with us.  Trixie's favorite game is fetch & she actually brings the ball back to you! Recent small breed experience is a must since they're just not for everyone & definitely not for the 1st time dog owner.  This girl would NOT do well in a city environment, so we're seeking a more rural home since that's all she knows.  If you have the time and patience to train a pup, please visit our site at endingthesadness.org & fill out an application to be considered.  Adopters must be no more than 2hrs driving distance from us.  Only older children in the home, please.March 21, 2024, 12:11 am

Story
Meet Misty! If you're looking for a playful, loving, and never met a stranger dog, Misty is perfect for you. Misty is a three year old Boston Terrier surrendered by her owners into rescue. She's learning what it's like to go from life as a farm dog to that of a toy loving, couch sleeping, (free snoring included), family member. Misty loves durable chew toys that she can use alone or to play tug of war with her favorite dog or person. She'll happily spend time alone rolling on her back to hold a toy and play. Misty also loves to play with her foster brothers as her energy level allows her to tire one out and move onto the next. She would be fine as an only dog or with four legged siblings. Any dog siblings in her forever home should be larger than 15 pounds due to her solid 25 pound frame. Cats are OK but she is very interested and should have supervision with them. She's become accustomed to the very dog savvy cats in her foster home and has chosen her favorite to kiss and love on while a watchful eye is kept on them. Hiking would be a great pastime for Misty. She's great walking on leash but really likes having a fenced yard. More than anything she wants to be a lap dog and spend as much time with her family as possible. Be warned, she can't control her licker and will give unlimited kisses. Misty is nearly perfect in her house training. She will go to the door and whine when she needs to potty and has picked this up very quickly, however regression is normal in new surroundings. She's also learned simple commands like off and leave it. She is crated when her foster parents aren't home, overnight, and for meals. She's very quiet in her crate. Misty has been around children and loves them all, but due to her size, children in the home should be 8 or older. Misty is uptodate on vaccines, microchipped, and spayed. If Misty sounds like your kind of dog, fill out an application to add this girl with the beautiful, soulful eyes to your life. I promise you won't regret it. Story
"Hi, I'm Beatrice but you can call me Bea! I am 5 years old. I used to live in a commercial breeding kennel, but I was surrendered to Zoe's House in late February. Life has gotten so much better! I have learned that I love blankets and beds, and that not all people are scary. I am a bigger gal, but my foster mom says I'm just perfect for snuggles at 25lbs. I really enjoy going for strolls through the trails near my foster mom's house. I walk well on a leash. I'm working on potty training and my adoptive family will need to keep building my routine of going outside. I do not mind other dogs at all as long as the don't try to rough-house with me, I'll give them a stern look and a grumble if they do. I do not like the kitties though. They look like way too much fun to leave alone. I am a sensitive gal and loud kids might upset me. I'm gentle and would be a very sweet companion for calm kids. Overall, I will make a wonderful addition to a home! All I need out of life is a kind human and a cozy bed!" Beatrice is being fostered in southern Lancaster county pa. Interested families must be willing to travel to her foster home twice to adopt her. The first visit is a meet and greet with all members of the household, including resident dogs. After the meet and greet a date for adoption will be agreed upon. During her spay operation, it was discovered that Bea had external use staples in her uterus, which should not have been. Her spay was complicated by adhesions of her uterus to other organs, caused by having had many C-section births. She is recovering well and is expected to have no long term effects. Beatrice is spayed, had a dental cleaning, is heartworm negative, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and has been treated with monthly parasite preventatives. Story
Introducing Eddie! Eddie is a 3.5 month old male Boston Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier who weighs 11.3 lbs. Eddie and his sister, Misty, came to All 4 Paws looking for forever homes from a breeding kennel. They have been so entertaining during their stay in foster and have kept us laughing! These pups are full of tenacity, personality, and energy! They love to play with toys, wrestle one another, and running zoomies in the backyard. House- and crate-training are going well. They load into their crates easily with the promise of a treat and sleep overnight with only a few complaints at the start. They've nailed "sit" very quickly and are on their way to knowing "down." They're both very food-motivated! These babies have been socialized with other dogs and are sharing their foster home with cats, though they don't have the best of manners with their feline friends. These two are sure to keep their forever families entertained! We absolutely adore the little faces and cannot wait to watch them blossom in their forever homes!! Please help us find Eddie the family he's been dreaming of!Interested in adopting?
