Story
Zeus is a10 year-old Brindle Boston mix, 33 pounds of muscle, with a gentle mouth; he's a very loving guy who loves to play with dogs his size.  He's a bit energetic for smaller dogs, but played with our 10# puppy every day. Zeus would love to have a 6 foot fenced yard with room to run and play; he used to jump our 4 foot fence.  He doesn't like cats and doesn't like having his nails cut. Up to date on shots, heartworm negative, crate and house trained.  He's a great dog. Please send your phone number to learn more about Zeus. Story
Meet MJ! He is a 9yr old beagle/terrier mix. He was found as a stray in KY and ended up in a kill shelter...until we rescued him. He seems to get along with every other dog we have (incl puppies of all ages). He walks well on a leash once he gets over the excitement of being out with you. At only about 40 lbs, he is the perfect sized companion dog. MJ is very smart too and learned to sit for a treat & give his paw within 5mins. His aim is to please :) We find that he doesn't like to be without people in general but that's not to say that he likes all people and is definately picky about who he trusts. The ideal home would have someone around rather than leaving him for the workday and would have some dog training knowledge about how to handle a fear aggressive dog. We can no longer bring him to adoption events since many in the general public do not know how to read a dog's body language (he does give signs when he's uncomfortable). We would recommend a low-traffic household for sure because of the potential fear aggressive bite and someone with experience in dealing with this behavior. Our adoption fee is $325 and all of our pets come with full vet records.  All animals are up to date on vaccinations & dewormed.  Unless otherwise indicated, puppies are NOT spayed or neutered since our vet recommends waiting until 6mos of age to do so.  Please keep in mind we are a Rescue Group and most of our pups come to us with little or no background info regarding breed, eventual size, age or prior health issues. We rely on the expertise of our veterinarians and make estimates based on past experience. Also, when you're adopting from a Rescue, you should ask questions! You should always get shot/medication records and the rescue should have had the dog for a bit of time to check for disease. Take the time to educate yourself before adopting. A reputable rescue will have nothing to hide and will answer ALL your questions!!!Please visit our Web Site to see all of the pets we have for adoption. Our site contains information about our adoption process and fees, our application, and answers to frequently asked questions. Please read it carefully before contacting us. If you are interested in adopting THIS wonderful pet, we strongly encourage you to complete our adoption application now. Once we receive and approve your application, we will notify you of approval. The first application to be received and approved will get 1st choice - be sure that your references are available and willing to speak with us. Thank You Visit us at one of our next adoption days.  Details are on our site under the "How to Adopt" tab. Hope to see you there!May 6, 2024, 11:11 pm

Story
Meet Ramona! "Hello! I am so happy to meet you! I am a silly little girl who loves to be petted and wiggles all around! I'm 3 years old and about 15lbs. I was surrendered to Zoe's House by a commercial breeder. I've had a few litters of pups, but now the mama life is behind me and I'm ready to be someone's baby! I am good with other dogs, okay with dog savvy cats, and I LOVE people! I am very puppy-like in my playstyle with other dogs and it may annoy some dogs. If I'm adopted into a family with another dog, the dog will need to be of similar energy level. I may bother older dogs or dogs who want to be left alone. It's all in good nature though! I just want to play! I am learning to fetch and play with toys in my foster home!" Ramona is a sweet little pup who warms up quickly to new people. She is a little bit timid at first, but she loves being petted and held! She likes going for walks and loves to make friends. She is happy-go-lucky and silly! She loves to run around and is almost always on the go. Once she crashes for a nap, she likes a blanket and a warm lap, in true Boston Terrier style! Ramona is nearly house broken, she has only had 2 accidents on the first day in her foster home. She quickly learned the routine and now always potties outside as long as she is kept on a schedule. Potty accidents are common for dogs in new environments, and her new family should plan on having a routine so she knows when to expect her potty breaks. Ramona will either need to have a physical fenced yard or to always be leashed, she would wander away without a leash or a fence. Upon intake to the rescue, it was noted by our vet that Ramona has a mild heart condition. She has had an echocardiogram by a veterinary cardiologist. While this very mild condition is unlikely to ever cause her problems, it will need checked yearly by a veterinarian for any changes. Ramona's foster mom can go over any concerns with prospective families. Ramona is being fostered in southern Lancaster county pa. Interested families must be willing to travel to her foster home twice to adopt her. The first visit is a meet and greet with all members of the household, including resident dogs. After the meet and greet a date for adoption will be agreed upon. Ramona is spayed, had a dental cleaning, is heartworm negative, is up to date on vaccines, is microchipped, and has been treated with monthly parasite preventatives. Story
CANNOLI Female Boston Terrier 3-4 years old 20 pounds No known health issues Good with people Not recommended with other animals Needs to be an only pet Good for city living: undecided Cannoli is an energetic, fun-loving girl who is still getting to know what it means to live outside of a puppy mill. She is adapting to life indoors but still has some learning to do and needs training. Cannoli has discovered toys and loves to eat. She was used for breeding and given up for being a "bad mom." Likely because she is not trustworthy near other animals and has a high prey drive. Cannoli is going to thrive with a well-matched adopter who can give her all of the love and attention!
