Story
Calvin Rufus is a full-blooded male, super spunky and peppy, Boston Terrier. You wouldn’t thinkCalvin is 8 years old with the energy he has. A mom or dad who likes to play fetch or go for longwalks/jogs would be a great fit, but he does have his chill time and will definitely cuddle in yourlap or snuggle in bed (if you allow that). He LOVES blueberries, bananas, blackberries, butturns his nose up at raw carrots. He loves to play with his toys and leaves them stashedeverywhere, so he can play anytime, anywhere! He reminds me of Tigger the Tiger because heis so bouncy. He is a bit of an escape artist when it comes to dog gates, if you like to haverooms blocked off. He is used to a doggie door to come and go as he pleases. He would dobest in an only dog home with a fenced yard. He does well uncrated when I am at work. Story
Bindy Blue is 9 years old and all about the simple joys in life: sunbathing, car rides, snacks, and snuggles. She’s a laid-back girl who enjoys hanging out with her people (especially the ladies), keeping tabs on household happenings, and chiming in with her own unique vocalizations - she definitely has something to say, especially when she wants to go outside! Bindy has limited vision due to cataracts, but she navigates her world confidently and does best with a predictable, calm environment. She does well with both on- and off-leash dog introductions, but prefers polite canine manners - she doesn’t like dogs in her face or being startled. She could happily live with another easygoing dog who respects her space, or in a home with no other dogs, as long as her people are home often and enjoy spending time with her. She’s house-trained, crate-trained, and happiest when she gets to sleep in bed with her favorite human. Bindy gets along well with dog-savvy cats and respectful kids. She’s food-motivated, enjoys short bursts of play, and will seek your lap when it’s time to relax. If you’re looking for a gentle, quirky sidekick to share quiet days and cozy nights, Bindy Blue might just be your girl. Bindy’s Must-Haves A calm, loving home with a predictable routine An adopter who is home often and enjoys close companionship Gentle handling and awareness of her limited vision, especially around stairs, decks, ledges, and curbs Polite dog interactions - she does well with on- and off-leash introductions but doesn’t like dogs in her face Willingness and ability to lift her in and out of the car A patient, kind adopter who appreciates a sweet senior Bindy’s Nice-to-Haves Another easygoing, respectful dog or a home with no other dogs A securely fenced yard or safe outdoor space for sniffing and sunbathing Dog-savvy cats Respectful, gentle kids Someone who enjoys a chatty dog with personality Contact/Application Info  Questions? Story
Hello, I’m Hank. I’m a 4 year old male Boston Terrier with the personality of a forever puppy. I have endless energy. (Hank will calm down in the car or when it’s time to snuggle.) I have some GI issues, doc thinks its allergy.  But, with my new diet (no commercial dog food), and medications( Benadryl ) I have VERY FEW episodes of throwing up my food and am gaining weight!!! I love people and other animals. Once I decide you are my person I will replace your shadow with myself. I can self-entertain all day, but might whack ya with a toy once in a while to make sure you still know I’m there. I need a fenced yard, one I can’t jump out of if I see another human or animal. I will also run through an open gate if I get the opportunity. I would LOVE to have someone that could be home with me all day as I need to eat 4 times a day as my weight continues tocome up, but I am ok for a few hours in my crate if you need to run some errands. You might notice I walk a little funny, I have some issues with my back leg, but it definitely doesn’t slow me down and doesn’t seem to hurt at all. Parkour is my favorite game, I can’t parkour off of ANYTHING. I love to steal things to get you to chase me, but I really only tear up paper, otherwise I just play with my toys. If you are looking for the sweetest, snuggliest, biggest personality guy, I’M HIM! I will love you forever, and ever, and even more whether you want it or not.  My Foster says that I have a cat like personality also. I love to cuddle so much that I will curl up on your lap just like a cat. The Basics Age: 4 Weight: GOING UP! Currently 18lbs Spayed/Neutered: Yes Microchipped: Yes Vaccines Up-to-Date: Yes On Heartworm Prevention: yes On Flea/Tick Prevention: yes On intestinal worm prevention: yes House-Trained: yes, I will notify you by standing by the door I am used to going out of to go potty. However, you shouldn’t leave me out there alone or I might eat my own poo… working on this, not as interested now that I’m gaining weight! Crate-Trained: yes! I have zero problems with my crate and will go in on my own if I feel scared. I sleep through the night and nap without issues if you cover the crate with a blanket or something to make it dark. I also like to have an extra blanket in my crate with my dog bed so I can curl up with it. Leash Skills: You mean the thing I drag you with?! I absolutely love going for short walks and might be amenable to leash training if there are some pieces of freshly cooked chicken in your pocket! I get super excited when you grab my harness, so excited I try to eat it instead of letting you put it on me… sorry. Medical: On top of my fancy diet, I require medications daily. Trazadone to help me focus on the task at hand and reduce how many times I parkour off of your face, twice daily. Benadryl 12.5mg (½ tab) daily, this helps with my allergies, I think it’s the oaks. Apoquel, part of my skin care routine, daily. My skin is looking awesome. Diet: I am a little bougie (well my guts are anyway), so I eat a combo of blended home cooked chicken, quinoa, green beans, and sweet potato. I also get cooked chicken as snacks/treats. I like to try new foods, but only one at a time and no more than one new food every couple of days to make sure it doesn’t upset my tummy. Currently I have to eat 4 times a day in smaller portions (about ½ cup). Doc says once I’m up to about 20lbs I can cut back to fewer meals. I burn a lot of calories though, so frequent snacks are also requested required! Current approved foods are beef, chicken, egg, quinoa, green beans, and sweet potato. Current dislikes are edamame, carrots, and all commercial foods. I do like to chew on treats like bully sticks, but don’t really eat them.  Likes/Dislikes: No, off, get down, etc. I also don’t like loud noises. I have difficulty with hard foods including dog treats. I don’t mind baths in a tub, not a fan of the kitchen sink though. I mean, why would you bathe a dog in the kitchen sink anyway?! Toys: I love toys, all toys, I like to play ball but not sure why you always want to take it away after I run for it! Other Animals: LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, but…. I have personal space issues. I like to get all up in their grill and sniff all the parts. I also have some difficulty reading social cues, like, get away from me. So, I probably should only be around other dogs with my similar personality or very patient ones! People/Kids: I love all people, I do not discriminate based on age or gender. I do however like to jump on people and am working on learning the command “off”, I think it’s going pretty well so far. Car Rides: I love car rides! I do best on a blanket though because I’m not too stable on my feet if there are sudden changes in speed or direction! Separation: I might try to claw my way out of your door or window if left alone, even if you are just taking out the trash. I mean you didn’t give me a watch, and I’m pretty sure you were gone for eternity. But, I am perfectly fine if I am in my crate or if you just pull up the blinds for trash runs! I am ok in the car alone for short periods too and won’t tear up your seats or scratch your windows. did I tell you that I love everyone too and four legged? Contact/Application Info  Questions? Story
Looking for a 94% Boston Terrier? Look no further.   Tuckey Longtail  is an almost full-blooded Boston Terrier. DNA testing showed that she is 94% Boston, 5% pug and 1% French bulldog. She only weighs 13lb., and, yes, has a long tail. She is estimated to be 7 years old. The first vet said 5, but the second said 7, so we are going with that. Looking at her face, she looks like she has greay over her eyes, but that's just her coloring/markings. Tuckey is an extremely intelligent Boston. She is potty-trained and dashes out the doggie door in no time. She is crate-trained but loves to sleep with her human wrapped in a blanket. In fact, she will lie down and go to sleep if you throw a blanket over her. She gets along with other dogs except she is a resource-guarder. So if food, beds or toys are involved, she thinks they all belong to her. She would do perfectly in a home without other pets, but is fine going on walks and meeting dogs. She doesn't need a fence. She's fine on a leash and doesn't seem like she wants to go far from the door.  She loves people, but she has some anxiety which leads to some quirky sounds when she tries to talk. But, as time goes on, as she feels more comfortable, the anxiety decreases. And with an herbal ashwagandha upplement, it has decreased even more. She came into rescue with a severe flea allergy and had no  hair on the back half of her body, but that has mostly grown back. The vet said she MUST be on a good flea preventative year-round, so she is nonw on monthly Nexgard. She is also on a small dose of Apoquel to help with allergies.  Tuckey is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, is heartworm negative & on prevention. She loves people and wants to please.  She would be perfect for an older adopter who is retired and wants a companion. She has not been tested with small children or cats.  She's okay in the car, but gets a little nervous and trembles. She does not have separation anxiety and is very happy and exuberant when you come home. Contact the foster mom, Susie, at suzycobb@gmail.com or 706-726-2221 Tuckey is located in North Augusta, SC Her adoption fee is $340. which includes the microchp registration. Story
Meet Jewel!   Jewel is a ~7 year old Frenchton who came to us after the owner couldn’t afford her medical care. Her foster thinks she may have been used as a breeder and then neglected, as she arrived to us underweight with some serious alopecia and a hematoma.   Jewel hasn’t let any of this stop her, however, as she has a new lease on life! Jewel is learning that it’s okay to play and run around and spends much of her days pawing at her foster for some attention. She thinks she wants to play with other dogs, but hasn’t fully committed quite yet. Although as it relates to humans, she can’t control her spins when it’s time to eat or when the leash comes out. Jewel is so friendly that, on multiple occasions, her vet has asked if she can come earlier than her appointment to just be around all the staff (this is 100% true) She’s not housebroken yet, but we’re working on it. She is praise and food motivated so I don’t think it should be too heavy of a lift. But if you adopt Jewel you should expect a lifetime of snorts, hilarious faces, cuddletime, and love. ##2631327##

Story
Odie Roger is a 3-year-old French & English bulldog mix who weighs about 50lb. ODIE WILL NEED AN EXPERIENCED FOSTER OR ADOPTER. He’s wonderful with other dogs of all sizes and ages. He’s also fine with cats—as long as they don’t run. Once the chase instinct kicks in, he simply can’t help himself. He’s quick, but he’s never caught one, and honestly, I think the fun would end if he ever did. He is definitely a busy boy. Will require an active, interactive, balanced home. Would absolutely recommend another playful, active dog in the home, It helps. He's crate trained, housebroken. Adores toys and can get a little competitive (playing with other dogs). He knows basic commands and follows them well. He thrives under structure and stability—those are the keys to keeping him balanced and confident.  He has been doing well in new environments, though he is still uncomfortable with new people who approach him directly. Odie is a vocal “flight, not fight” type of guy—he prefers to retreat and talk about it rather than escalate. At this point, I believe he is ready to move into the next phase of his journey. The longer he stays here, the harder it may become for him to transition in the future. He deserves a committed person or family who can continue his progress and help him truly blossom. Odie is currenly in Cochran, GA, near Warner Robins at a training facility. Interested? Contact the coordinator suzycobb@gmail.com. Foster-to-adopt situation is available. Adoption fee is $440.Includes microchip registration. ##2517689##

Story
*** Available after February 10 ***What makes me so special is that I am a young girl who has a very refined soul. I think I'm Royalty and can just stand there looking pretty and get treats handed to me. Other times I need a human's lap to nap and restore my energy. I seem aloof at times but I'm Marrin Rose and that is your typical Frenchie! They all say that I'm a very sweet smart baby who looks for cuddles and sometimes just wants to sleep on her majestic bed. Ruling a house is tiring business after all!   I have a very sweet personality. A queen knows everyone upon meeting them and I am no different. If someone walks in my door I have to show my love for their future devotion to me. I am very mannerly as well. No jumping on the couch or chair for me. I prefer to get picked up for my chair entrance. In this house where I'm at there is a 225lb Great Dane and several 11lb Bostons. I play with them all! The elderly Boston has fallen in love with me.  These subjects and I  played many tug a war games. It was very new to me but I learned the doggie door system as well and the traditional follow my human subjects wherever they go. Humans need lots of direction to find where to go. Who knew?   So I am the perfect age of 20 months old. That is the best age to Rule a house forever. I am super smart and learn quickly.  My weight? Oh how rude! But if you must know I'm 27lbs.  I am Microchipped, vaccinated and spayed The heartworm prevention, flea and tick prevention has all been administered.  A Queen such as myself uses the yard for bathroom purposes. I'm totally housebroken.  I prefer to sleep in a soft doggie bed. I don't mind a crate pallace at all. I like to nap in my pallace during the day sometimes. Queenly doggie beds are very much appreciated.  Leash trained? Well I like to go for a stroll through the gardens and yards. I can't help it if you don't know the exact way we're supposed to be going at times. I walk like a proper lady when you go the right way! I like kids, (There we 9 kids at this castle for Christmas) I will ignore cats, (definitely lower class than Me), I will ask for devotion from everyone at the family get togethers, (there was 30 subjects at Christmas) there were a couple of family dogs at this gathering and we got on famously.  I've been socializing quite a bit here. The nursing home is a gold mine! Every single person there wanted to admire me, give me affection, and bestow compliments. I love meeting new people and going to new places. When lifting or transporting me I can stiffin up (frenchie thing) and then I will melt into my human. I have a lift of sorts with my humans recliner. I put my feet up and then she has the chair footrest elevate me onto the throne. Quite unique because everyone sees me about to ascend to my throne chair! A great display of my position in the castle! I love and will accept treats but I do not like blueberries. Yuck. They are absolute garbage!  Now for the toys... I will play with ....everything! I love toys that make noise like crinkle toys, the stuffie's are amazing to shake, not watching? I will take your blanket or kitchen towel and run!  The Lady of the house can tell you that I got along with everyone in my time ruling here. We went many places and I was a perfect Queen. One day I went to the Nursing home for pet therapy, one day to a school for kids to read to me, one evening we went to a Veterinarian office to provide love and comfort to a little girl who lost her hamster, I went to houses during the Holidays for visits, I hosted many people here at the Castle for Holiday get togethers, and I was a delight with everyone. My current Castle has a gun range near it. I heard many loud booms and fireworks for New Year's and it didn't make me scared. I have been going through training to be a more confident Queen.  A few times the lady of the house left all of us here alone. During the night she tucked me in and then she went to sleep in her chambers. The baby monitor camera showed -  I went to sleep. No barking, no nervous behavior, and no arguing with my new friends. I was a Dream for the Lady of the house!  I am a Frenchie of course I can be aloof. I am a Frenchie of course I want attention. I am a Frenchie of course I'm beautiful. I am a Frenchie of course I love to go on car rides. Allows me to see my kingdom.    My only dislike was fresh blueberries. They are garbage!   The Lady of the house is available to answer any questions you may have about me.
