Gertie's Story ALL PETS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE DALLAS/FT WORTH METROPLEX MEET AND GREET APPOINTMENTS SET UP WITH PRE-APPROVED APPLICATION ONLY Meet Gertie — the sweetest, squatty little lovebug you’ll ever meet! Gertie loves BIG, and she loves with her whole butterball body. This adorable mix of pittie and bulldog (or maybe corgi—those short legs are a clue!) is as sturdy as she is snuggly. She may be low to the ground, but her spirit is sky-high. Gertie is a playful, joyful girl who’s always ready for fun. She thrives with an active family and would do best in a home with a yard where she can zoom, waddle, and romp to her heart’s content. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has a naturally submissive, gentle personality, making her an easy addition to a canine crew. When playtime is over, Gertie turns into a world-class cuddler. She’s extremely affectionate, loves to sleep in bed with her humans, and yes… she snores. Loudly. Endearingly. A bedtime soundtrack of pure contentment. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will make you laugh, keep you active, and shower you with affection, Gertie is your girl. She’s ready to bring big love, short legs, and endless joy into her forever home! Approx weight 35 lbs If you would like to meet Gertie, the first step in the process is to complete an application. Story
Jessie was dumped and some nice people saw her on the county road.  They knew that she would die out there so they brought her home.  She is living in a barn because their dogs are older  and not happy with her presence.  She is good with other dogs and loves playing where the resident dogs do not - thus the problem.  She weighs 25 lbs and they think she is a mix of a Boston Terrier and a Jack Russell Terrier but just a guess.  She is super cute,She's very sweet and smart; she just wants to play and is active.  She has been in this situation for 2 months and getting lonely.  The finders do not want to take her to a shelter. She's probably a year and a half - vet said she's lost all her baby teeth. 25 lbs. Good with other dogs, cats questionable...she likes them but plays rough. She is smart - can  sit and fetch. Loves squeaky toys and treats. She would be amazing in basic training.. ##2581781##

Story
Hello there. My name is Murphy, and I am a 15-year-old lil boy who weighs 22 pounds. I am so lucky this wonderful rescue came and saved me; I did not grow up in a very nice environment. I am a particular little guy; I like to do things on my own terms. I do not like to be forced to do things which makes me upset and nip. I also do not like to share toys or food. I want to be the leader, so I need to be the only dog in the house. I am still learning how to be a dog and still working on my house training and my manners. I do have some hearing loss and need kidney care food because of my age. I absolutely love to be outside and play with stuffies. My ideal home would a person who can teach me manners and who is willing to help me be a better guy. My adoption fee is $100, but if you are a senior yourself (65+), my adoption fee is waived. Must be an only dog. No children. Thank you for your continued support in our rescue efforts! NOTE:  Hospice fosters have ongoing medical needs that will require care for the rest of their lives. While they remain available for adoption, we carefully screen potential homes to ensure their medical and special needs can be fully supported. BTRNT is committed to providing these dogs with a loving forever home—whether that is through adoption or as a permanent hospice foster within our rescue. We are always looking for good foster homes. These homes allow us to rescue more Boston Terriers in need because we have a place for them to go until they are adopted. Please consider becoming a foster home for Boston Terrier Rescue of North Texas. Story
Hi there!  My name is Mickey, I’m about 6 years old and weigh 27 pounds.  I’m a smart, charming guy, and very focused!  My foster mom says I am very athletic and have a ton of personality, and so handsome… that makes my blush!  At this time my trainer feels it would be best for me to be an only dog.   I’m crate trained and leash trained.  I need a home without children, older teens may be okay. Must have a home with fenced yard, no apartment.  I am looking for an active owner or couple who will want to do lots of things with me but is also very patient and will continue my training.  My adoption fee is $150. NO YOUNG CHILDREN.  NO OTHER PETS. MUST HAVE FENCED YARD. MUST AGREE TO ATTEND SEVERAL TRAINING SESSIONS WITH HAPPY VIRTUALLY AND AT A FACILITY IN PRINCETON, TX.  We are always looking for good foster homes. Story
Hi! My name is TJ and oh boy do I love to play ball! I am a very loving and happy 36 pound 6-year-old boy. I am housetrained and crate trained. I have lots of energy and would love a home with an active family. Because of my energy, my foster mom says older kids might be best for me. I am also very protective of my food so I need a family or owner who understands that and how to work with that. I am selective of my doggie friends so, I would do best with a home without dogs. My ideal family would be one who loves to play with me and are looking for a handsome, gentle boy. The most important thing in my life is finding my forever home and family. MUST BE ONLY DOG. My adoption fee is $350. Thank you for supporting our rescue efforts!  We are always looking for good foster homes.
