Story
Layla was taken in after losing an eye, it never slowed her down. She is calm and sweet as can be. She was previously bred but we have not, our males are fixed. She loves toys. Loves people. Plays well with others. Gentle with kids. Dances when happy. Dog door potty trained. Dislikes the rain. She doesn't shake or anything she will just want to be with someone if she hears thunder. Also finds the weed eater her enemy lol so we just don't let her out when lawn guys are here. She has her shots, no medical issues, and is ready for a loving home. I would love to see her homed with another Boston! Their breed does so well together!

Story
Gertie's Story ALL PETS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE DALLAS/FT WORTH METROPLEX MEET AND GREET APPOINTMENTS SET UP WITH PRE-APPROVED APPLICATION ONLY Meet Gertie — the sweetest, squatty little lovebug you’ll ever meet! Gertie loves BIG, and she loves with her whole butterball body. This adorable mix of pittie and bulldog (or maybe corgi—those short legs are a clue!) is as sturdy as she is snuggly. She may be low to the ground, but her spirit is sky-high. Gertie is a playful, joyful girl who’s always ready for fun. She thrives with an active family and would do best in a home with a yard where she can zoom, waddle, and romp to her heart’s content. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has a naturally submissive, gentle personality, making her an easy addition to a canine crew. When playtime is over, Gertie turns into a world-class cuddler. She’s extremely affectionate, loves to sleep in bed with her humans, and yes… she snores. Loudly. Endearingly. A bedtime soundtrack of pure contentment. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will make you laugh, keep you active, and shower you with affection, Gertie is your girl. She’s ready to bring big love, short legs, and endless joy into her forever home! Approx weight 35 lbs If you would like to meet Gertie, the first step in the process is to complete an application. Story
FORE!!! Incoming cuteness… Josh is a Border Collie/Pittie mix and appears to be powered entirely by snacks, curiosity, and an alarming lack of self-preservation. Case in point: when Josh arrived at Flying B, he was in rough shape and required emergency surgery to remove the inner core of a golf ball from his GI tract. Apparently, nobody told Josh that golf balls are for fetching, not eating. Thankfully, he came through surgery like a champ and is making a full recovery. These days he's focused on eating actual food, gaining back much-needed weight, and making up for lost time. Josh is firmly in his awkward teenager phase. He's all legs, enthusiasm, and questionable decision-making. Watching him tear around the yard at full speed, only to realize he may have overestimated his turning radius, is part of his charm. This boy loves to run. Whether it's zooming around the yard, exploring a trail, tagging along on a hike, or hopping in the car for his next adventure, Josh is happiest when he's part of the action. He's looking for a family that enjoys getting outside and experiencing life alongside their dog. When the adventures are over, Josh is all about the cuddles. Beneath all that puppy energy is a sweet, affectionate boy who loves being close to his people and soaking up attention. Honestly, Josh has already checked "major emergency surgery" off his puppy bucket list. From here on out, we'd like his adventures to involve hiking trails, road trips, muddy paws, and long naps after a day well spent. This resilient, goofy, lovable kid is ready to find a family who appreciates a dog that lives life with his whole heart. Josh has overcome a rough start and is more than ready for the fun part of his story to begin. If you’re ready for a meet and greet, kick off the process with an application at www.flyingbrescue.org/adopt. Our application is thorough but there are no right or wrong answers - we just want to make sure you and the pet are the perfect match. Once we receive your application, we will schedule a phone interview. Our adoptions include a 2-week trial period with fully refundable adoption fees during that period. If you are located outside of Texas, we offer transportation services and have happy families as references. We value transparency, so don’t be afraid to ask us anything.

Story
Hi, I’m Petey. I’m a 10‑year‑old Boston boy weighing 35 pounds, with a big heart and an even bigger love for being close to my person. I’m what they call a certified love bug—I follow my foster around the house because being near my human makes me feel safe and happy. Snuggles are my specialty. I’m a quiet guy and never bark. I don’t play much with the other dogs, but I’m starting to get curious about toys… I’m still figuring out what all the fuss is about. I’m a perfect gentleman, still learning the ropes, and I try my very best every day. I’m trained on the potty pad, and I’m great on a leash. I enjoy going on walks and I’m amazing on them—steady, calm, and happy to trot right beside you. I’m good with kids, cats, and dogs, and I’d be a wonderful companion for a senior or anyone who wants a gentle, low‑energy buddy. I love peanut butter and bacon‑flavored treats, cozy naps, and being close enough to feel your warmth. What I’d really love is a home where life is a mix of chill and a little bit of adventure… and where someone wants snuggles all day long. If you’re looking for a sweet, quiet, loyal friend who will adore you with his whole heart, I’m your guy. My adoption fee is $100, but if you are a senior yourself (65+) my adoption fee is waived.   We are always looking for good foster homes. Story
Hello there. My name is Murphy, and I am a 16-year-old lil boy who weighs 22 pounds. I am so lucky this wonderful rescue came and saved me; I did not grow up in a very nice environment. I am a particular little guy; I like to do things on my own terms. I do not like to be forced to do things which makes me upset and nip. I also do not like to share toys or food. I want to be the leader, so I need to be the only dog in the house. I am still learning how to be a dog and still working on my house training and my manners. I do have some hearing loss and need kidney care food because of my age. I absolutely love to be outside and play with stuffies. My ideal home would a person who can teach me manners and who is willing to help me be a better guy. My adoption fee is $100, but if you are a senior yourself (65+), my adoption fee is waived. Must be an only dog. No children. Thank you for your continued support in our rescue efforts! NOTE:  Hospice fosters have ongoing medical needs that will require care for the rest of their lives. While they remain available for adoption, we carefully screen potential homes to ensure their medical and special needs can be fully supported. BTRNT is committed to providing these dogs with a loving forever home—whether that is through adoption or as a permanent hospice foster within our rescue. We are always looking for good foster homes. These homes allow us to rescue more Boston Terriers in need because we have a place for them to go until they are adopted.
