Dolly is an approximately 2-year-old stray found in my neighborhood in rough shape. No owner came forward, and she’s been in foster care for over a month. She and her brother, Chance, are deeply bonded and must be adopted together. When found, Dolly had a sore on her back and fleas, but she’s been treated, her wound is healing well, and she’s spayed and vaccinated for rabies. She’s sweet, playful, affectionate, loves toys and cuddles, and gets along with other dogs. She walks well on a leash and rides well in the car. She’s shy and easily frightened by loud noises or stern correction, so she needs an experienced, patient adopter who’ll build her confidence through gentle, positive training. She knows “sit,” is crate-trained, and is partially house-trained, but needs continued work on manners and house-training. She’s energetic, chews enthusiastically, and may bark outdoors.
