DARCY is a sweetheart, who likes to take walks and loves to play with her ball. Darcy came to us off the street with pretty much no hair at all but, she is now fit, healthy and ready for a forever home. Darcy is a sweet, gentle girl who has a lot of love to give. Darcy’s new home will need a fenced yard so, she can stretch her legs and exercise a bit to keep up her girlish figure. Darcy’s would do best in a home, without other dogs or cats....as she likes them a bit too much.  Applications can be found on our website www.starbrightanimalrescue.org or please e-mail sbanimalrescue@yahoo.com for an application for DARCY. Bear is about 3 years old. He was adopted as a puppy at 12 weeks old from another rescue. He grew up in same home as an inside dog. Then a family member moved in with the family who was afraid of dogs. So bear was owner Surrendered to a kill shelter . Days away from euthanasia we took him in and he was safe. As we always do scared him for a chip and found he had one😔 I contacted the previous owner and wanted to know if he knew Bear was in the shelter. Sad part was he put him there 😩. This boy is the sweetest precious baby ever. He is house trained doggie door trained and even recliner trained. Bear deserves a human and home that won’t fail him again. Story
Nova was adopted from animal control just as her time there was running out. The family that adopted lost their home to a fire and has to relocate. They could not afford the pet deposit so we are assisting in finding Nova a new home. She is still very much a puppy and would do best in a home where she gets lots of attention. She plays well with other dogs but because she doesn’t understand everything doesn’t want to play with her she would do best in a home without cats or small dogs. She loves dogs toys even though she destroys them. She is very affectionate and loving.

Story
Name: LolliBreed: Boxer/Pit mixSex/Age/Weight: Female, approximately 4 years old, approx. 59 lbsVetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention, and microchippedHouse trained/Crate Trained: Yes/YesBefore FAR: I was rescued from the Baldwin County Animal Shelter when I was pregnant with 12 puppies. All my puppies have found their furever homes, and now it’s my turn!Energy Level: I am a low to medium energy dog. I do get excited when I play with my foster fur siblings, especially outside, but I know when it is time to calm down. When I'm not playing, I do very well with relaxing with my humans or chewing on a bone. Things that make me happy: I love getting pets and belly rubs! I LOVE being with my people and tend to stick close to them whenever I can. I also love playing with my fur siblings or playing fetch in the yard with a ball or a stick. I LOVE water and will try to drink from the hose when you water your plants!Things that make my humans happy: I am very sweet and loving. I love to snuggle up on the couch with you. I am so incredibly soft and fun to pet, and I love being pet too. I am playful and always ready for an adventure!Training status: I am VERY well trained, both off and on leash. I know sit, down, here (recall command), drop (for fetch), and place; I will also hold these commands reliably during duration work. I am very food motivated which makes me eager and easy to train! Dogs: I love the other dogs in my foster home and I am friendly with all dogs I meet! I have great social skills with other dogs, but a meet and greet with future siblings would be best to make sure they can handle my energy.Cats: When I was cat tested I tried to play too rough with them, so I would do best in a home without cats.Kids: I have never been around children, but I think I would love them!Ideal Family/Home: I would be a wonderful addition to just about any home! I do well with all humans and dogs I have met.
