Story
Clawdeen is a 2-year-old Boxer mix with a sweet, gentle spirit and the softest eyes you’ll ever see. She may be new to the shelter, but she’s already winning hearts with her calm nature and eagerness to please. This smart girl knows how to sit and give paw, and she loves showing off her manners. We’re still getting to know her, but so far Clawdeen seems to be dog reactive, so she may do best as the only dog in the home while she continues to build confidence. One thing we do know? Clawdeen is a kind-hearted pup who just wants someone to love her back.

Story
Meet Pixie! This 5-year-old Boxer mix may be missing a back leg, but she certainly hasn’t let it slow her down! Pixie is every bit as playful, spunky, and full of personality as a four-legged dog. She loves being around people and is happiest when she can plop herself down beside you and soak up all the pets she can get. She’s also a wonderful walking buddy! Pixie is easy to handle on a leash, making walks enjoyable for both her and her human. Whether she’s out exploring or relaxing by your side, she’s always happy to be included. When it comes to other dogs, Pixie has her preferences, so we have her as selective with them currently. Her missing leg is simply one of the things that makes her unique and we think she’s pretty perfect exactly as she is. Could Pixie be the special companion you’ve been looking for?

Story
Meet Bidzil! He loves people of all ages! He’s very wiggly and maybe not the smartest kid in class…He would thrive on a great school routine and some extra cuddles!! He loves to play!! He came out of neglect. He was super skinny on arrival -- weighing in at only 33 lbs! Now he is up to a healthy 50 lbs. He also came in with vertebrae on his tail exposed. He has been getting daily tail wrap changes, antibiotics, and pain meds given. He will still likely need his tail amputated. He greets dogs well, but is over it after a minute. He would do best with a co-exister or solo. No cats or small animals, please.Bidzil recently went on a Dog Day Out with a couple of our volunteers. Here`s what they had to say, `He started out a tad on the aloof and cautious side, but he quickly warmed up. After that, he was a super chill, laid-back, gentle, and easy-going boy with a quiet smile. He showed no reaction to any of the people or dogs we passed and was perfectly happy strolling right beside us. He never pulled on the leash and happily sat for treats (and he LOVES his treats!). He even posed in front of some flowers for photos like a natural! It`s so easy to fall in love with this incredibly sweet boy!`Male5 years oldBoxer mix?50.5 lbs ---------------------------------------------------Interested in adopting? Story
This puppy is one of 32 we rescued from Louisiana, where animal welfare protections are almost nonexistent. Puppies there are often born into neglect — chainedup mother dogs, dirt yards, no food, no vet care, and no one looking out for them. Many are dumped, abandoned, or left outside in dangerous conditions. Please submit an application on our website. www.indianasaveadog.com. Once approved, you may schedule a meetandgreet/adoption appointment to meet any of our available puppies. Weight: 8 lbsAge: 8 weeks old  Puppy will be up to date on vaccination, microchipped before adoption. Puppy will not be spayed/neutered.  Adopter will sign a spay/neuter agreement and may qualify for a $100 spay/neuter Rebate. See application for details.  A $40 refundable deposit is required once your application is approved to hold this dog or schedule a meetandgreet. This helps us respect the time and commitment of our foster families and volunteers. The deposit is applied to the adoption fee or fully refunded if you attend your appointment and decide not to adopt.
