Obi was rescued from a flea market in Texas. He is a shy but a very loving dog. He just wants to play and be present with everything going on. He broke his leg at a few months old (before I received him). He is healed but still has a scar. He rarely barks, only when looking to get someone’s attention to play with him. He can be shy around other dogs at first but once they become buddies he has the best of time. He plays with the local neighbor cat and recognizes boundaries. He rarely communicates his needs so just need to be mindful of certain patterns. Like pacing usual means he needs a potty break. Going into a different room when you are in one room means he is likely hungry or thirsty. He loves to roll around on his back. A truly wonderful dog that I wish I did not have to rehome but circumstances have required it. Looking for a home that can offer a lot of love!

She may be new to the shelter, but she’s already winning hearts with her calm nature and eagerness to please. This smart girl knows how to sit and give paw, and she loves showing off her manners. We’re still getting to know her, but so far Clawdeen seems to be dog reactive, so she may do best as the only dog in the home while she continues to build confidence. One thing we do know? Clawdeen is a kind-hearted pup who just wants someone to love her back.

The only thing that could dull his spirit is not finding his family. He is true cheerfulness and delight🥹 Endless wiggles, nonstop smiles and the most endearing personality are all different aspects that comprise Gary. He's a food-motivated pup and is sure willing to work for treatos! We are teaching Gary how to sit and he is totally catching on already! One of the many awesome things about Gary is his eagerness to please. This guy would work for love alone🤎🤎 We have yet to meet anyone that Gary doesn't get along with. He has shown very positive behavior around shelter dogs and he adores people. Dilbert was brought to us as a stray in mid-September. He was severely underweight, had open wounds and raw pressure sores. (See his "Before" pictures in the comments.) Even through feeling miserable, Dilbert loved us and those around him. However, he was still in desperate need of our help❤️‍🩹 Luckily, our vet team is amazing and we had one of our wonderful foster homes willing to help him. Here is "All About Dilbert" from his foster mom: "Dilbert has had a pretty rough start. It’s been so nice to see him slowly add weight back on and start to feel like a playful, happy dog should! Over the weeks we’ve worked on a few manners and he is very treat-motivated so he’s been catching on pretty quickly. Dilbert knows how to sit, shake, wait, take nicely, get down/off (he’s kinda nosey with kitchen counters as his sniffer gets working), and we’ve been working on here/come, stay, and leave it. He’s very smart and very willing to learn. Dilbert loves all kinds of treats and will do just about any trick to get one! Dilbert has been slow to come out of his shell and he is somewhat nervous meeting new people. Anyone interested in adopting this handsome guy should be willing to offer him patience. After all, he has been through a lot. It may take more than one meeting for him to warm up. But once he does, he’s goes all in! Dilbert loves to be near you, on you, right up next to you, and will regularly take your favorite spot on the couch or steal your pillow. He’s learning that toys are fun—rope toys and thinner crinkle/squeaky toys are his favorites so far. Dilbert also has an ornery side. He’s head-strong and relatively funny when he doesn’t want to do what you want him to do. He’s goofy, bouncy, and an incredibly fast runner. He has gotten along well with our resident cat and has done well with other friendly dogs. Dilbert has a heart of gold, pushes every inch of personal space boundary you may have, and will make you laugh even as he’s chewed apart your 5th phone charging cord. Meet Bidzil!He loves people of all ages! He’s very wiggly and maybe not the smartest kid in class…He would thrive on a great school routine and some extra cuddles!! He loves to play!! He came out of neglect. He was super skinny on arrival -- weighing in at only 33 lbs! Now he is up to a healthy 50 lbs. He also came in with vertebrae on his tail exposed. With daily tail wrap changes, antibiotics, pain meds given, and a nutritious diet, he is fully healthy now.He greets dogs well, but is over it after a minute. He would do best with another calm dog to co-exist with or as solo dog. No cats or small animals, please.Bidzil recently went on a Dog Day Out with a couple of our volunteers. Here`s what they had to say, `He started out a tad on the aloof and cautious side, but he quickly warmed up. After that, he was a super chill, laid-back, gentle, and easy-going boy with a quiet smile. He showed no reaction to any of the people or dogs we passed and was perfectly happy strolling right beside us. He never pulled on the leash and happily sat for treats (and he LOVES his treats!). He even posed in front of some flowers for photos like a natural!
