Bebe`s Compatibility:Dogs & Cats - Bebe`s ready to experience home without other petsKids - Yes, 14+Bebe might be the most underrated dog around. She’s calm, gentle, and quietly affectionate. The kind of dog who doesn’t demand the spotlight but ends up stealing your heart anyway.Bebe recently spent time in a foster home and absolutely nailed it. She was housebroken, polite, quiet, and easy to live with. Her foster even called her the perfect houseguest. There was no chaos and no drama. Just a very good girl who was happy to share space and enjoy the comforts of home. When she sees her people, Bebe greets them with a full body wiggle and soft tail wags. After that she’s perfectly content to settle in beside you. Sunbathing, cozy beds, and being near someone she adores are pretty much her love language.Bebe would do best in a peaceful home without other pets and with older, dog-savvy kids who understand that sometimes a girl just needs a little space. Bebe has already proven she’s an easy dog to live with. Now she just needs someone who sees how special she is. If you think that might be you, we’d love for you to learn more about her.

Link`s Compatibility:Dogs - YesCats - YesKids - Yes, 10+Link has a heart that just might be bigger than he is. He adores people and will happily be your loyal shadow for life.Don`t let the silver muzzle fool you. Link still loves a good walk, enjoys some playtime, and has plenty of life left to live. He`s lived with dogs and cats and is happy to make new friends with a gentle hello. A calm home is where he thrives, but he`ll show up for adventures too. He`s an easy, laid-back guy who charmed the socks off our groomer, let her blow dry him without a fuss, and happily chewed on a bone while she worked.Link is part of Dr. Roth`s Frosted Faces Program, which means his adoption fee is waived and he goes home with an orthopedic bed, a two-month supply of Senior Cosequin, a senior blood panel, and dental work if needed. He`s already taken care of. All he needs now is you!

Story
Jasmine`s Compatibility:Dogs - Meet & GreetCats - YesKids - YesJasmine is an 8-year-old sweetheart who has truly blossomed in foster care. When she first came to the shelter, her gentle heart couldn’t handle all the noise and chaos, but once she settled into a quiet home, she began to bloom. Her foster mom says, “Jasmine is such a sweet and funny dog. One of my favorite things about her is that she often greets me with a toy or blanket in her mouth. She is a huge wiggle butt and exudes happiness. Also, she has earned the name ‘Jazz Butt’ because she prefers to slide off the couch instead of jumping down, which results in her sticking her butt up in the air and it is very funny.”She’s housebroken, knows a few commands, and enjoys car rides (especially if they involve a pup cup). She’s even cat-approved! Jasmine loves her orange Chuck-It ball, puzzle toys, and cozy naps on the couch. Walks can still feel a little overwhelming for her after everything she’s been through, but she’s slowly gaining confidence. For now, she’s happiest playing fetch, enjoying yard time, and soaking up love in a calm, familiar space. Watching her confidence and joy grow has been a gift, and she’s ready to share that happiness with a family who will celebrate her gentle, goofy ways!

Gandalf`s Compatibility:Dogs - Bring yours for a meet and greet!Cats - TBDKids - YesMeet Gandalf! This 9-year-old German Shepherd and Boxer mix has earned every bit of his distinguished gray muzzle and the wisdom that comes with it. He`s 71 pounds of gentle, easygoing sweetness who leans right into every person he meets.Gandalf recently had a spa day, and our groomer is still talking about it. He climbed into the bathtub all by himself and stood like a perfect gentleman for his nail trim. He even enjoyed the blow dry, which might make him the most agreeable client in salon history. Hand him a soft blanket or a plush toy and you`ll have a friend for life.He aced his behavior assessment and shares his food and toys politely. Gandalf likes to make new dog friends slowly and one at a time, so if you have a pup at home, bring them along for a meet and greet. His dream retirement includes a comfy couch, a sunny window, and a person who adores him. Come meet him and see if you`re the one he`s been waiting for!

Story
Lola is a sweet lovable 8yr old boxer/shepherd mix. She has anxiety around other dogs and she has gotten aggressive with them. She was a high energy dog in her younger years and would jump over our fence. She still loves chasing squirrels, chipmunks and cats if they mistakenly get in our backyard. Lola has been minimally trained to heel, sit and stay. She will come to you when you motivate her with a treat. My husband and I have maintained her annual appointments with a local vet. We would love to find a home where she is the only pet and can be loved unconditionally. We are taking care of grandchildren now and it is extremely difficult to manage her and the grandchildren. Thank you

Andy’s Compatibility:Dogs: Happy to meet dog pals at the shelterCats: Would do best in a cat-free homeKids: Yes, 16+Andy has a calm way about him and a real appreciation for the simple things in life. A squirrel, another dog, or even a suspicious-looking trash bag can definitely catch his attention. Odin’s CompatibilityDogs: Bring yours for a meet & greetCats: Not his crowdKids: YesOdin is a 3-year-old handsome guy with a calm, confident way about him. He is not the type to climb into your lap and demand constant attention, but he does enjoy being near his people, going for walks, and taking in everything around him.Odin has lived in a home before and already knows a few things. He knows how to sit and is crate-trained. He also likes car rides, and he is very happy to be paid in beef sticks. He also loves toys, especially tug, and he’s a curious guy who likes to know what’s going on.He can be strong on leash when he first gets going or when he sees other animals, but with steady practice, he started settling in and walking more nicely. He did well meeting a young child and has been curious but polite with new people. Odin is not a match for cats, and any dog friends should come meet him first to make sure it feels right.Odin has a good heart, a little independence, and a very serious commitment to tug. Come meet him at HSHC!
