Story
This absolutely stunning 3 yr old Boxer is Ember. She finds herself back in rescue after a year in a loving home. Ember is great with dogs, fairly submissive. She is good with cats and loves children. Ember is completely housebroken and crate trained. She would do best in a home with another dog. She can be a little shy at first but is still snuggly and loving. Ember was originally found as a stray in the south and did complete heartworm treatment prior to coming North. Adoption fee is $475 If you do not hear from us within 7 days please email passion4petsrescue@gmail.com

Story
Ruthie is a 2-year-old, 60-lb Boxer mix with a gentle soul and a brilliant mind. Before coming into rescue, Ruthie lived on her own for at least 6 months, skillfully evading capture, multiple trapping attempts, and surviving in an industrial area of town. Fed by kind mechanics and workers, she learned how to stay safe, avoid danger, and always show up for food — and that intelligence still shines through today. After a dramatic capture, Ruthie has been in a foster home, where she’s proven to be a very polite houseguest. She is fully house-trained and, even at her scariest moments, has never shown a hint of aggression — no growling, no raised lips, just fear. Ruthie is shy and deeply cautious with people, but she is sweet, gentle, and incredibly observant. We would not be surprised if Ruthie spent some of her life in someone’s home.  This brainy girl reads the room like a pro. She knows when a human might approach and will quietly skedaddle to keep herself feeling safe. While she’s still very nervous about leashes and handling, she allows most people to gently scratch her muzzle, and she’s learning — slowly but surely — that human touch isn’t such a bad thing. Watching her progress has been incredibly rewarding, especially as she’s started to enjoy ear scratches and soft affection from her foster mom. Ruthie is a great pack dog. She does beautifully with dogs of all sizes and temperaments and enjoys playful wrestling with dogs her size, but doesn’t demand play.  She happily coexists with the resident Chihuahua in her foster home. Ruthie is calm and content indoors and also enjoys a daily visit to the dog park. She’s a quiet presence who’s perfectly happy lounging on a chair, listening to her foster mom’s Zoom calls, and soaking in the safety of home life. At home, Ruthie is her foster mom’s quiet shadow. She sleeps in her room, wiggles with excitement when she comes home, follows her around the dog park — and yet may still hop off her bed and slip away if that same foster mom walks toward her for a pet. With Ruthie, trust is built in tiny, meaningful moments, and every day brings progress. Because of her history, Ruthie is a high flight-risk dog, especially in the early days. She will need a very committed adopter with a securely fenced yard, experience with fearful or flight-risk dogs, and a willingness to use safety tools like GPS collars, double leashes, and secure handling. Strength matters too — this is a 60-lb girl who needs someone confident and prepared. Ruthie has been around children at the dog park and treats them like little adults — with polite, reserved hesitation. She is food-motivated, sweet, and incredibly smart. With patience, structure, and time, she has all the makings of a truly special companion. Ruthie is one of those dogs who, with the right adopter and a few committed months of trust-building, will become a dream dog. Watching her finally relax, feel safe, and just be a dog has been an absolute privilege — and we can’t wait to see her find the forever home she deserves. ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 24, 2026, 11:08 am

Story
Gunnar is not good with any other animals and can be quite aggressive towards them. He also has some issues with men as well and we have come to the hard decision that it would be best to get him re homed. He was found living on the streets about 5 years ago. He is a very high energy big dog. Although he can be crazy, he is the sweetest, cuddliest boy once he gets comfortable with his people.

Story
Meet Chief — your new best friend and walking buddy!  Chief is a 6 year old boxer/pittie mix with a striking white coat and adorable brown spots, a squishy bully face, and a loving personality that makes him impossible not to adore. ✨ What makes Chief special? He has a strong leash training foundation and is a genuinely enjoyable walking companion. He doesn’t drag you down the street. Walks with Chief are steady and something to look forward to. If you want a dog you can actually enjoy walking, Chief delivers. Chief is the perfect mix of chill and engaged. He’s not high-energy, but he lives for his daily walks, neighborhood outings, and tagging along with his person. He currently goes to work with his foster mom, enjoys morning coffee runs (puppuccino included!), and settles in easily wherever he goes. Car rides? Loves them - he hops right in and lounges like a king. At home? Crate trained, potty trained, and sleeps soundly through the night. Training? Knows commands like “sit,” “crate,” and "let's go" and is eager to keep learning. He’s very food and praise motivated. Fun? Treat puzzles, fetch and a stuffed Kong are his absolute favorites. Chief has a solid leash foundation and truly enjoys getting out and exploring. Like many dogs, he’s still building confidence around some busier or fast moving surroundings, but he’s made great progress and continues to improve with consistency and guidance. He gets along well with calm, low - to medium energy dogs and is a respectful, easygoing housemate. He’s not much of a rough player, but he coexists nicely with other mellow pups, including smaller or senior dogs. Because of his size (around 50 lbs) and occasional goofy moments, Chief would do best in a home with adults or older kids (teens+). Why Chief? He’s one of those “hidden gem” dogs - easy to live with, devoted to his people, and happiest just being by your side. Whether you’re running errands, heading out for a walk, or relaxing at home, Chief is all in. Chief is currently being fostered in North Carolina and can be transported along the East Coast to his forever home. Story
My name is Walt! I’m very outgoing and love people. I need some help with my manners as I’m very bouncy but I can learn quickly! I’ve been through a lot in my life so I need the right introductions to other dogs. Also I like dogs that are more relaxed, too much energy scares me! I also snort a lot!
