Story
Ruby is a laid back kind of dog that is just looking to spend time with her people. Ruby is very sweet and enjoys going for walks, even in her older years. She does like to hold onto the leash while walking; just to make sure you don't get lost. Ruby does get a burst of energy when meeting new people and this can lead to her being a bit of a strong puller on the leash but nothing that some patience and training can't help. She loves everyone she meets and does great with kids. She is housetrained and likes to go on short car rides. Ruby has shown that she would not do well in a home with cats or other female dogs. Is this the older dog for you?Ruby is current on vaccines, microchipped, and spayed

Story
Hello, my name is Dennis! I'm an older gentleman, and I came to CAHS when a very nice lady found me as a stray. I've been here since November, battling heartworm, and I finally beat it! I love going for walks outside and going on sniffaris. I am fully housebroken and know many basic commands. I thoroughly enjoy my comfy beds and butt scratches. While I am a sweet old man, I do not enjoy the company of other dogs and would do best in a home without cats. Due to my age, I can be stubborn and particular about things, so I would do best in a home without children under 12. I'm ready to live out my retirement in a loving home with a patient and understanding family!
