Story
Jack is a 5-year-old Pitbull who had a rough start to life and is adjusting well to life as a tripod. Despite his past he is an absolute love bug and holds no grudges! He was fostered in the South after his amputation for about 6 months with a family with 3 other dogs, 4 cats and children. They loved him so much they even made a little book with his story, photos and details about his relationships with cats, people, dogs and his progress. Jack LOVES people and other animals and was well known in their neighborhood as he liked to greet everyone he met. He is very emotionally intelligent and can tell when people are sad and will bring them toys to try to cheer them up. He also is smart, eager to please, and is savvy in reading other animal cues and respecting their boundaries. He is currently fostered with an 8-year-old chihuahua mix and is very gentle with her and knows she is the boss. Some of Jack's favorite things include TOYS, especially squeaky toys. He is great at occupying himself with toys or chewing bones if his human companions can't provide him attention. He loves snuggling and couch time. He likes ice cubes, a scoop of peanut butter before bed, rolling in the grass on a sunny day and getting brushed. Jack has so much to offer his future family and will provide endless laughs, snuggles and joy. One look into his soulful eyes and it will melt your heart! Story
I'm Randall! When I came to the shelter I was in bad shape, I was bald and skinny but the girls took great care of me and now I'm healthy as can be! I am a bit afraid of new situations and need some encouragement but in my past when I went to new places people weren't very nice and shoed me away, so I'm trying to learn not everyone is going to do that. I am great with other dogs and cats because after all in my experience they were never mean to me! The girls here at the shelter are doing a great job at showing me I can trust people and I am learning everyday!

Hey! My name is Everleigh! I love going on runs in the field, playing with my group mate Randall, and I'll always take all the attention I can get from the staff here! I prefer a cat free home I like to chase them but not to hurt them I just think its fun to make them run.

Hey there, I'm Miller!  I am 2.5 years old weighing in around 60 lbs.  I'm a pretty special guy, you see.  I used to be a superhero, believe it or not.  My superpower?  Spreading joy and laughter, of course!  One day, I was chasing an evil villain, when I found myself in this place they call a shelter.  I've been making the best of it, using my superpowers to cheer up everyone around me.  But I'm ready for a new adventure.  I'm looking for a sidekick who loves fun and games as much as I do.  So, how about it?  Ready to form the ultimate superhero team? ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 11, 2024, 12:11 pm

Story
Introducing Maliki! This handsome, energetic boy has quickly become a staff favorite here at the shelter for many reasons! His zest for love is infectious and his big pittie smile lights up any room he enters. Maliki is a smart boy who knows more than most three-year-old dogs, including sit, lay down, give paw, stay, and even army crawl! Sometimes he can be stubborn about wanting to do his commands/tricks but for food he'll do anything! Maliki was very well loved by children of all ages in his previous home and adores all the children he has met here, however he can be quite jumpy/excitable with them, so we are recommending 10 years and older. He also is willing to meet any submissive dogs who live in the home who can keep up with his energy level. He would do best with no kitties in the home as he is deathly afraid of them but also not afraid to back away from them.Interested in meeting this giant goofball? Story
My name is Sugar and I'm an older dog looking for a forever home where I can be loved and cared for. I would love to be in a home where I am the only pet, and can be the center of attention. I would prefer not to be around young children as I am sensitive to touch and can't see or hear very well.I really enjoy being around people and can't wait to meet my new family! There are a few things you should know about me. I can only walk for short periods of time and cannot go up and down stairs. Sometimes, my friends at KVHS say I am blind as a bat, but I can still see the outline of a tennis ball when I chase it!I am a bit out of shape and very sore right now, but my movement will get easier as I reach a healthier weight. It's important that whoever takes me home has a good relationship with a veterinarian due to my age and health concerns. I need a home where I can live out my remaining years being spoiled and loved.Thank you for considering me!
