Story
Meet Bailey! Bailey is a 6-year-old Boxer/Pointer mix with a young-at-heart spirit and plenty of pep in her step! Don't let her age fool you—this girl still loves to zoom around the yard, stretch her legs, and enjoy every day to the fullest. Bailey has lived with children and enjoys being part of the family. She would love a home where she can spend time with her people, soak up attention, and have space to play and explore. After a fun romp outside, she's happy to settle in and relax by your side. Bailey must be the only dog in her home. She does not do well sharing her space, food, or resources with other dogs and will need a family that can provide her with a dog-free environment. Bailey thrives when she doesn't have to compete with other pets and can enjoy all the attention, treats, and meals to herself. Because of this, her future home should not have any resident dogs or plans to add another dog in the future. If you're looking for a loyal, active companion who will be devoted to her family, Bailey is ready to meet you!

Story
Storm is a 4 year old boxer. She loves to play catch and to snuggle. She and my older female boxer have not been getting along. I’ve been having to keep them separated. This only happens when I’m around them without my husband. I think it might be a territorial thing with them for me. She has been great with my grandchildren and other kids. This just started a few months ago and the 2 females go at each other.

Story
I'm Sir, very entergetic fun dog, roughly 80lbs but know how to be gental, been with owner for 5 -1/2 yrs. She adopted me from a friend. Have had in house life style with little exposure to outside world. Fully house trained, when got to go out I ring a bell hung on the door, uses lead. Does get timid meeting others at first who are outside my comfort zone but in my own time love it. Have traveled small distances, gone on occational walks does well on harness leash. Needs new home because owner life causes me to be home alone to much. Love to play with toys alone or with them when they have time. Always love the outdoors. Does well with children of all ages, be cautious of female teens on their "timing". Ok with other dogs (haven't had much interaction with them), had cat bro for a bit, he was my bff, high sensitivity to beef and chicken food owner discovered after several ear irritation issues, not tested by Vet, ok with lamb or fish hard food, please consider this new life companion

Story
Senior sweetness alert: Otis is here, and he is pure love. This big, handsome gentleman is not looking to be your jogging partner. Otis’s dream life is much better than that: a soft couch, a cozy spot in the grass, plenty of belly rubs, and as much cuddling as you’re willing to provide.Otis is the definition of a gentle soul. He’s sweet, humble, and incredibly brave, having come through obvious neglect without losing his loving heart. He could not be sweeter if he tried. At the shelter, Otis’s perfect outing is simple: head outside, take care of business, and then settle in on the front lawn with his people to relax. He’s happy to sit by your side, soak up affection, and quietly watch the world go by — people, cars, dogs, all of it.If you’ve been looking for a low-key best friend, a professional cuddle buddy, and a truly special senior dog to love, Otis may be your guy. You can begin the adoption process for him right now by filling out an application on our website, www.humanecny.org; or email info@humanecny.org; or call us at (315) 457-8762.Contact HumaneCNY if interested in this animal. Story
Blue (55lbs) is a gem of a dog with his own unique perspective on the world, and he`d love to share this change in view with you! Blue may be blind, but he’s extremely adept at experiencing the world with his other senses, especially his hearing. He’s overwhelmingly sweet and friendly with new people. He can be a very gentle finger nibbler, but it’s only another way of him getting to know you! He also has a very lovely singing voice when he`s feeling inspired. We unfortunately don’t have any information about his experiences with other animals or children in the home, but we’d love to set up a time for any resident dogs to come and get to know him, and we’ll have a conversation about setting everyone in the home up for success! Come visit our adoption center Wednesday-Sunday: 12:00-4:30 PM (Thursday: 12:00-6:30 PM)You can also reach our adoptions team:by email: adoptions@spcaonline.comby phone (during open hours): 607-257-1822 x221(Adoptions Category: Green)

Story
Welcome Oozo (58 lbs), who joins us due to unfortunate health issues for his person, who truly wanted what’s best for this gentle boy. When out on a walk, Oozo gets a little startled by new noises in his world, but he recovers swiftly and resumes his investigations on the go. We`ve also learned that he`s got impeccable leash manners! He finds cats a little too exciting, so he’d probably do best in a feline-free environment. He`d likely get alone well with another chill canine friend, but unfortunately we don’t know how he feels about hanging out with smaller children. If you`d like to meet this handsome hunk and get to know him a little better for yourself, stop by the adoption center during our open hours Wednesday-Sunday 12-4:30 (Thursday 12-6:30).You can also reach our adoptions team:by email: adoptions@spcaonline.comby phone (during open hours): 607-257-1822 x221(Adoption Category: Lilac)
