Story
🐾 Hi, I'm Jackson! 🐾I'm a super-sweet Boxer, and I just turned 7 years old! You might notice I have a little something special about me—I'm totally deaf. But guess what? That doesn't slow me down one bit! I rely on my eyes, my nose, and my amazing sense of wiggle to experience the world.I think of myself as an expert-level cuddler and a full-time professional snuggler. Even though I can't hear them, I watch my humans really carefully, and I know exactly what they mean when they wave their hands or give me a big smile.I have so much energy and love to play! I can run and chase toys with the best of them. I'm a really happy boy, and I make sure to give everyone I meet the biggest, wiggliest greeting ever. Life is an adventure, and I'm ready for the next one!Meet me!Stray Haven 194 Shepard RoadWaverly, New York 14892Hours:Tuesday-Friday 10-5Saturday 10-4Stray Haven Humane Society & SPCA194 Shepard Rd., Waverly, NY 14892(607) 565-2859, www.strayhavenspca.org Open hours:Tuesday-Friday 10am-5pmSaturday-Sunday 10am-4pmClosed on Mondays

Story
I'm Sir, very entergetic fun dog, roughly 80lbs but know how to be gental, been with owner for 5 -1/2 yrs. She adopted me from a friend. Have had in house life style with little exposure to outside world. Fully house trained, when got to go out I ring a bell hung on the door, uses lead. Does get timid meeting others at first who are outside my comfort zone but in my own time love it. Have traveled small distances, gone on occational walks does well on harness leash. Needs new home because owner life causes me to be home alone to much. Love to play with toys alone or with them when they have time. Always love the outdoors. Does well with children of all ages, be cautious of female teens on their "timing". Ok with other dogs (haven't had much interaction with them), had cat bro for a bit, he was my bff, high sensitivity to beef and chicken food owner discovered after several ear irritation issues, not tested by Vet, ok with lamb or fish hard food, please consider this new life companion

Story
Introducing Ivy — Adventure Buddy, Social Butterfly, and One-of-a-Kind BeautyIvy is the kind of dog who’s always ready to say ‘yes’ — yes to a walk, yes to a hike, yes to tagging along wherever the day leads. If you’re looking for a companion who brings energy, enthusiasm, and a whole lot of personality, Ivy is your girl. She’s super friendly and thrives on being around people, greeting everyone like a fast friend she just hasn’t met yet. On leash, Ivy is manageable and improving — she tends to walk a bit side to side and may pull occasionally, especially when something exciting catches her attention, but it’s all very workable and she responds well with consistency. With regular walks and a little guidance, she’s going to make a fantastic walking partner. In her -- and your -- favor, she is nonreactive when passing by other dogs on her walks. And let’s talk about those eyes — one crystal blue, one warm brown — giving Ivy a striking, unforgettable look that perfectly matches her vibrant personality.Ivy would love a home that embraces her active spirit and includes her in life’s outings, big or small. Whether it’s a trail walk, a car ride, or just exploring the neighborhood, she’s happiest when she’s part of the action.Ready for a loyal sidekick who’s equal parts fun and affection? Ivy is waiting to meet you. Story
Welcome Oozo (58 lbs), who joins us due to unfortunate health issues for his person, who truly wanted what’s best for this gentle boy. When out on a walk, Oozo gets a little startled by new noises in his world but recovers swiftly and resumes his investigations on the go. He finds cats a little too exciting, so he’d probably do best in a feline-free environment. Since he also came in with AJ, he’d likely do well with another joyful pup, but unfortunately we don’t know how he feels about kiddos in the home. If you`d like to meet this handsome hunk and get to know him a little better, stop by the adoption center during our open hours Wednesday-Sunday 12-4:30 (Thursday 12-6:30).You can also reach our adoptions team:by email: adoptions@spcaonline.comby phone (during open hours): 607-257-1822 x221
