Story
Vanna is an 11-year-old Lab mix with a heart just as big as her adorable, wiggly body. This sweet senior girl is all about the simple joys in life—good food, cozy spots to nap, and, most of all, being close to her people. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion to share your days with, Vanna is ready to be your girl. Vanna does have a large lipoma (a fatty tumor) on her left side. The good news is that it isn’t life-threatening and doesn’t stop her from enjoying life. Due to her age, surgery isn’t recommended—but don’t let that scare you away. Vanna is still full of love, personality, and plenty of tail wags to give. At her age, Vanna deserves a soft place to land—a calm, loving home where she can enjoy her golden years surrounded by kindness and comfort. Could you be the one to give Vanna the peaceful, love-filled retirement she’s been waiting for?The shelter can be reached at 937-498-7201 to schedule a time to meet. Story
Oh, to be as effortlessly cool as Moose. This laid-back guy enjoys the company of his humans and would happily trade kennel time for lounging by your side any day.He has done well meeting female dogs and just needs a little time to warm up to male dogs.Fair warning: Moose will judge your singing and dancing skills (silently… but you’ll feel it). When he’s not critiquing your performances, he enjoys playtime and getting out for walks.Moose would do best in a home with older kids (12–13+), and any potential dog or kid siblings will need to come meet him first to make sure it’s a perfect match. If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick with a cool, quirky personality, Moose might just be your guy. Let us know if you’d like to meet him!DNA test results: 49% Boxer21% American Staffordshire Terrier18% Staffordshire Bull Terrier12tlo Husky

Story
Meet Nala, our resident beefcake with a heart of gold. 💪💖Nala is strong, solid, and impressive at first glance — but give her a moment and you’ll see what she really is: a total love bug who just wants affection, reassurance, and someone to call her own. She does best as the only pet in the home, but she’s great with children and thrives on human companionship. Her past hasn’t been kind. Nala came to the shelter emaciated, after spending much of her life locked in a crate, with painful urine-scalded feet and legs. Despite everything she endured, she never lost her gentle spirit or her desire to trust people. She’s had professional training, giving her a solid foundation, and she wants so badly to do the right thing. After waiting at the shelter for quite some time, Nala finally found a home — only to be returned recently due to her adopter experiencing serious health issues. Through no fault of her own, she’s back, confused and waiting again.Nala has already survived more than any dog should have to. What she needs now is stability, patience, and someone who will see past her muscles to the soft heart underneath. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion and can offer her a pet-free home, Nala is ready to love you with her whole big body and even bigger heart. 🐾More information? Story
Emerging from the depths of her enchanted kiddie pool, Vada the Troll Queen is here to claim your backyard, your hose, and your heart. This mischievous little gremlin is equal parts sass, splash, and snuggle (on her terms, of course). She’s a one-of-a-kind, hose-chasing, Kong-chomping legend—and she’s looking for a loyal human to serve as her humble subject.Vada’s ideal kingdom includes: • A hose with good water pressure (the royal fountain, obviously) • A steady supply of Kongs (the sacred treasure of her people) • Zero other dogs (she’s a solo troll, thank you very much) • Cats who know their place (bow or be batted at) • Minimal manfolk (she finds them suspicious)She may be wary of strange humans (especially tall, loud ones), but once you’re accepted into her inner swamp circle, Vada is fiercely loyal and surprisingly sweet. She’ll keep your yard safe from rogue sprinklers, overconfident squirrels, and any unauthorized lawn gnomes.Vada is not here to win “Miss Congeniality.” She’s here to rule, splash, and chew rubbery things until they squeak no more. If you’re looking for a gentle, dainty flower—keep walking. But if you’re ready to bow before the chaos goblin queen and laugh every day at her swampy shenanigans, your highness awaits.Long live Vada. Bring snacks.More information?
