Visit https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info for more info on mandatory supplies. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Marley / Female / 5 years / 70 pounds / Boxer Mix / Sweet and Gentle Girl / Needs Proper Intros to Dogs / Cats Unknown / Good with Older, Respectful Children / From Tennessee / Fostered in Toronto ** Follow Marley’s journey on Instagram: @marvellousmissmarley** Meet Marley! Marley's backstory is one of beating all odds and is a testament to the indomitable spirit that defines her. Marley previously enjoyed the love of a family but when they couldn’t keep her they unknowingly dropped her at one of the harshest shelters in Tennessee, where she deteriorated to the brink of despair. When she was pulled from the shelter by our rescue partner she was skin and bones and experiencing severe discomfort. Despite her condition, she very happily jumped into the rescuer’s car and revealed her sweet and pleasing personality. She is now on the mend and living the good life in foster care in Toronto. Marley’s foster describes her as sweet, friendly, gentle, and playful. She loves going out on walks, playing fetch, running around, chewing on kongs with peanut butter, and when that is all done cuddling up on the couch for snuggles. If Marley has a chance to be outside, she will be your best friend. She is friendly with her trusted people and will greet them with her tail wagging. With new people, she can be shy but will come sniff and seems to enjoy meeting new people at her own pace. Marley has met children as young as 3 years old and has been gentle with them, giving them smells and not minding them being near her. She is, however, a bit timid in the face of loud noises. We think that she could do well in a home with older, respectable children who respect her and her space. In her previous life, Marley survived a pretty vicious dog attack, however, she does not seem to mind being close to dogs when out on her walks. She still needs and appreciates slow introductions if she is in close proximity to other dogs. Marley has had exposure to puppies around 6 months but she would rather keep to herself instead of playing with them. Eventually, she could have doggy friends and may be able to live with another older dog with proper introductions. Marley has not met any cats and we do not know how she would react to them. She is therefore looking for a cat-free home. Marley gets 3-4 walks a day, 2 are usually 20-30 minutes, and the others are short pee breaks. She also gets indoor enrichment and lots of fetch in the yard. Marley does pull on the leash but her fosters are actively working on it and she has already made improvements. She does not seem fearful of anything on a leash but can be overwhelmed by unfamiliar city noises. Marley is a very polite house guest and has stayed in her crate for up to six hours without issue. She settles in the crate quickly and takes a nap. When her people are home she loves being the resident couch potato and likes to snuggle up using your lap as a pillow. She likes to follow her people around the house but is not stressed being left alone. She sleeps through the night in her crate without issue. Marley is working on basic training and knows to sit, come, and stay. She knows “leave it” and “place” really well. She is only motivated by high-value treats so her fosters are working to figure out her favourite things. Marley’s ideal home is one that is filled with love and consideration. She has been through so much and deserves the best forever home. She is very gentle, sweet, and attentive with people of all ages but is most comfortable in a calm environment with people mindful of her body language and comfort levels. She could live with older, respectful children who understand her boundaries. She would love a house with a yard so she can keep up one of her favourite activities, fetch. Marley is a living testament to the strength of the canine spirit, and her presence is a reminder that resilience and love can conquer even the darkest of pasts. Marley is a survivor and truly deserves nothing but the very best. Marley’s fur is noticeably patchy from damage done to her hair follicles when she suffered from mange in the shelter. Her hair may grow back in time but, likely, she will always be a little patchy. She is currently taking Stilbestrol for urine leaking and will need to stay on it for life (dosing is twice daily but the goal is to get dose frequency as low as you can go with no leaking). Will need CBC bloodwork every 4 months while on Stilbestrol. Four month supply costs approx $72.41 and CBC costs $202.46. If you’re interested in fostering with the intention of adopting Marley, please apply at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form Marley adoption fee is $500. Story
Hank has been with us for a while. Poor boy has been here since Oct 2021. He loves to play. He loves attention. He loves treats (who doesn't?). Hank is a really sweet boy. He is getting really stressed living the kennel life, though. This boy needs a home, with a yard and a family to call his own. He has not had many inquiries, he does not seem to be a fan-favorite for reasons we don’t understand, and the kennel life is not meant for him - or really any dog for that matter. Hank is a young loving boy who would be able to grow more in a forever home, or even a foster, to keep him free of stress, to allow him to unleash his crazy, puppy-like self. For a young guy, he has great recall and has been open to welcoming female dogs to play with him. MUST be dog experience, not for a first-time dog owner Name: Hank Breed: boxer mix Weight: 60lbs Gender: Male Spayed/Neutered: Yes Age: 4.5 years old Medical(shots): Up to date Good with dogs: VERY selective, must be ONLY pet Good with cats: No Good with strangers: yes with proper introductions Guarding issues: yes with food with other dogs but good with people House trained: yes Crate trained : yes Destructive: not at all Leash skills: Good! Due to his trachea he must be walked on a harness only! Okay with manipulations: yes Known commands: sit, lay, paw working on stay and leave it Behaviour issues: guards his food from other dogs but will let me take it Medical issues: damaged trachea Other observations: Hank is very people happy and loves to meet dog friends with the proper introductions. Loves to run so needs space and proper excerise. Good off leash once bonded and can have with excellent recall when properly trained. Loves car rides. He is snuggly, loves to be in your lap. Loves his toys and will carry them on walks or when he goes outside. Not for a first time dog owner. Will need someone with patience and time to continue working with him. He has been in a kennel for almost 3 years. So please understand he will need someone willing to help him decompress from the kennel environment. Once he's comfortable with you and knows you, he's really a sweet boy with a big heart. Hence why we call him our goofball! Hank is all about cuddling and playtime!

Story
Hey there, I'm Diesel!💖✨ I may be an adult, but don't let that fool you, I'm full of playful energy and curiosity. I was once a superhero in my own comic tale, saving a family from a house fire! I sniffed out the danger and barked until help arrived. I ended up in the shelter after that, a bit shy but still a hero. I'm smart and goofy, often making the shelter staff laugh with my antics. I'm looking for a family that can match my energy and humor, someone patient who can help me come out of my shell. Adopting me means gaining a loyal, loving, and fun companion. I promise to bring joy and laughter into your life. Let's start our own adventure, shall we?If you are interested in me, please email orangeville@ontariospca.ca and include your phone number so we can better contact you.I can't wait to come home to you! 💖- Diesel 💖✨ Primary Color: Tan Weight: 27.7 Age: 2yrs 0mths 0wks
