Story
Currently fostered in Texas Meet BamBam , he is a bulldog mix?? Maybe some boxer in there. He is apx 4-8 months and weighs apx 17 pounds on 6/9, growing fast He will be apx 40 pounds fully grown. He is a puppy that is going to need a patient, loving and committed adopter . He needs training and routine and lots of positive reinforcement. He is very loving , cuddly, and smart. He is very food motivated. Knows sit, and wait. He loves all people and other animals but does try to chase the cat just out of playful curiosity. He is a giant baby. He sleeps in the human bed, he hates a crate or puppy pen and will scream his head off however he is not potty trained so that has been a challenge. He needs someone home often enough that can be consistent in taking him outside potty. He definitely needs other dogs and playmates. He is good with all dogs big and small old and young. He is not a loner. Bam Bam is also a bit mouthy and likes to put his mouth and teeth on you when playing or showing affection. This has gotten a LOT better and I have been working at this pretty hard to curve this habit but he may not be suitable very young children or seniors. He is not trying to hurt anyone but the way he plays may accidentally injure someone with sensitive skin. He is a gentle loving soul, he loves cuddles and being picked up and sleeps right next to you. He is a good eater and knows to sit and wait for food and treats. He is very trainable but forgets very quickly so he needs consistency. We did have a dna test done on him that should be back in apx 4 weeks. He is an amazing boy that needs the perfect home. Approved adopters please send your hold requests to the email you were given. To get approved please visit our website www.texaschihuahuarescuecanada.org to fill in an application to adopt.

Story
Meet Gucci a gentle, loving soul from Mexico who deserves a second chance at the safe and happy life shes never truly had. Gucci is a beautiful Boxer mix with a soft black-and-white coat and an even softer heart.Gucci has the perfect medium energy level happy to enjoy playtime and companionship, but also content to relax quietly by your side. Her story is one of survival and hope.Gucci was rescued in Mexico City while pregnant, facing an uncertain future on the streets. The rescuer who first took her in normally helps dogs by spaying and neutering them before returning them back outside to survive on their own. But Guccis story touched hearts deeply. She is currently being kept safe through temporary boarding that is being personally funded because no one wants to see her returned to the streets again. Now, Gucci urgently needs a forever family one that will finally show her the stability, safety, and unconditional love she has always deserved. Though she can be a little shy at first, Gucci warms up beautifully once she feels safe. She is incredibly sweet, gentle, and affectionate with people, including children, and she gets along wonderfully with other dogs. In fact, she finds comfort sleeping in her crate beside her best friend Prada, where she feels safe and protected.Gucci is house trained, crate trained, non-destructive, and not much of a barker. She rides calmly in the car while crated and is currently learning leash skills. She would love a home with a yard to stretch her legs, but with patience and love, she could also adjust to apartment living. After everything she has been through, Gucci doesnt need perfection she just needs someone willing to choose her forever. Someone who will never let her wonder where she belongs again. She has already survived so much. Now she deserves the beautiful life waiting on the other side of rescue. Story
Rusty Roo is a lover not a fighter, he is a sweet loving guy. A little shy at first but comes around quickly.Rusty Roo and his siblings were on a property with no food or water They were starved for food and medical attention. Rusty Roo was so weak he couldn't move for weeks. He was fed through a tub until he got his strength up. Everyday was a new day for survival..Rusty Roo's foster family has been key in helping him learn what love looks like. He enjoys being outside helping with flowerbeds, laying with the cats or the pet rabbit. By using a slow feeder he has learned to taste his food. He can be a little shy with new friends but warms up quickly. He is crated for 6-8 hours during the day when his foster family is at work and has regular exposure and play time with children, other dogs, cats and even rabbits! All of the above are very dog savvy so they understand how to interact with young dogs. He is truly a sweet and beautiful boy who will make an excellent addition to the right family! Meet Zelda The Sweetest Go-Getter! Zelda is a friendly, happy-go-lucky Boxer mix from Kentucky who is ready to find her forever home! She came to us after her previous owner was court-ordered to surrender all of his dogs. Zelda arrived alongside her sister Peach, brother Link, and a litter of pups, and shes shown herself to be a loving and adaptable girl ever since. At 66lbs, Zelda is the perfect size for family life. Shes great with kids, adults, dogs, and even cats, making her a wonderful addition to almost any home. Zelda enjoys walks on leash, loves a good play session, and thrives in a home with a yardthough she could possibly adapt to apartment living. Shes currently housebroken and crate trained, with medium energy and no food aggression, so shes ready to settle in and be a loyal companion. Zelda is affectionate, well-mannered, and simply a joy to be around. She doesnt need a second dog to be happy, but she does love canine friends.
