Story
Azoka is a beautiful Boxer mix who has been patiently waiting for her forever family for five long years. Found as a stray on the streets of Mexico, Azoka was brought to a shelter where she has spent most of her life. Despite the wait, she remains a gentle, sweet-natured girl who loves people and gets along well with other dogs and children. Azoka is house trained, walks nicely on leash, rides calmly in the car, and has a medium energy level. She is not destructive or food aggressive and would love a home with a secure fenced yard. A canine companion isn't required, but she may enjoy having a doggy friend. She is not comfortable being confined and is not crate trained, so her new family will need to give her patience and time as she learns the joys of home life. After five years of waiting for a local home, NDR has stepped in and offered to find this beauty a loving home abroad! Azoka deserves to know what it feels like to finally be someone's beloved girl. Story
Draco's story began with love... even in difficult circumstances. He once belonged to a kind man who, despite being homeless, cared deeply for him. Unfortunately, life became too hard, and he could no longer provide Draco with the food and care he deserved. With a heavy heart, he made the painful decision to let Draco go, hoping for a better future for his beloved companion. When I took Draco in, I made a promise to that man: I would find Draco a loving home where he could finally have the life he deserves - full of care, stability, and happiness. Draco is a wonderful Boxer mix. He is full of life and love. He's sweet, affectionate, and incredibly loyal. Draco is an active dog who loves to play and would thrive with an active family who can match his enthusiasm. He gets along well with other dogs, especially those his size, as he can play a bit rough. Because of this, a home with dogs of similar energy and size would be ideal. He can live with multiple dogs, as long as they enjoy his playful nature. Draco is fantastic with people - men, women, and especially children. He truly loves being part of a family. More than anything, Draco wants to belong. He wants a home where he can feel safe, loved, and included - not just as a pet, but as a true family member. Please help me keep my promise and give Draco the second chance he deserves. His heart is full of love, and he's ready to share it with the right family. Good with women: Yes Good with men: Yes Good with kids: Yes Good with other dogs: Yes Good with cats: No, he tries to chase them, so I don't recommend Draco to be with cats House trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes Energy level: Medium energy. He becomes higher energy when he is excited when he knows he is going to be out for walking Can be handled/touched: Yes, he loves to be petted. He is really excited and happy when you are petting him Barker: No - only when he know you just arrived at home and he know he will go out Flight risk: No; however, all dogs should be considered flight risks in new environments Food aggressive: None at all, but I always recommend not to feeding dogs close to other pets when he is in a new environment. Current food: He eats twice per day, and I put canned food or chicken with his food, all mixed and he loves that Walks on leash: Yes, he is really well-trained walking with a harness Leash reactive to people or dogs: Not at all, but he cries because he wants to approach them to play or to smell them Rides well in car: Yes Destructive: No, but he likes toys and he used to destroy stuffed toys Needs a home with a yard: Preferred Needs a home with another dog: No Can live in an apartment: Possibly Please visit our website niagaradogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

Story
Denver is pure happiness. She still has plenty of puppy energy - she loves to play, gets excited about everything, and is always ready for her next adventure. She is incredibly affectionate and loves being with her people. Denver came into the shelter with her sister, who has since been adopted, and now we are hoping it is her turn. She is very smart and eager to please, although she is still working on her leash manners and may pull when she gets excited. Denver has done well with dogs, cats, and children, and she also rides well in the car. She would thrive with an active family willing to continue teaching her while enjoying all of the fun and laughter she brings. Good with women: Yes Good with men: Yes Good with kids: Yes, dog savvy kids recommended as she can be jumpy Good with other dogs: Yes Good with cats: Yes House trained: In progress, she knows to go outside but still has some accidents at the shelter Crate trained: Yes Energy level: Medium/high Can be handled/touched: Yes Barker: No Flight risk: No, but extra precaution should always be taken in the beginning Food Aggressive: No Walks on leash: Yes, gets very excited and pulls Leash reactive to people or dogs: No just gets excited to see everyone Rides well in car: Yes Destructive: No Needs a home with a yard: Yes Needs a home with another dog: No Can live in an apartment: No Please visit our website niagaradogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.
