Story
Draco's story began with love... even in difficult circumstances. He once belonged to a kind man who, despite being homeless, cared deeply for him. Unfortunately, life became too hard, and he could no longer provide Draco with the food and care he deserved. With a heavy heart, he made the painful decision to let Draco go, hoping for a better future for his beloved companion. When I took Draco in, I made a promise to that man: I would find Draco a loving home where he could finally have the life he deserves - full of care, stability, and happiness. Draco is a wonderful Boxer mix. He is full of life and love. He's sweet, affectionate, and incredibly loyal. Draco is an active dog who loves to play and would thrive with an active family who can match his enthusiasm. He gets along well with other dogs, especially those his size, as he can play a bit rough. Because of this, a home with dogs of similar energy and size would be ideal. He can live with multiple dogs, as long as they enjoy his playful nature. Draco is fantastic with people - men, women, and especially children. He truly loves being part of a family. More than anything, Draco wants to belong. He wants a home where he can feel safe, loved, and included - not just as a pet, but as a true family member. Please help me keep my promise and give Draco the second chance he deserves. His heart is full of love, and he's ready to share it with the right family. Good with women: Yes Good with men: Yes Good with kids: Yes Good with other dogs: Yes Good with cats: No, he tries to chase them, so I don't recommend Draco to be with cats House trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes Energy level: Medium energy. He becomes higher energy when he is excited when he knows he is going to be out for walking Can be handled/touched: Yes, he loves to be petted. He is really excited and happy when you are petting him Barker: No - only when he know you just arrived at home and he know he will go out Flight risk: No; however, all dogs should be considered flight risks in new environments Food aggressive: None at all, but I always recommend not to feeding dogs close to other pets when he is in a new environment. Current food: He eats twice per day, and I put canned food or chicken with his food, all mixed and he loves that Walks on leash: Yes, he is really well-trained walking with a harness Leash reactive to people or dogs: Not at all, but he cries because he wants to approach them to play or to smell them Rides well in car: Yes Destructive: No, but he likes toys and he used to destroy stuffed toys Needs a home with a yard: Preferred Needs a home with another dog: No Can live in an apartment: Possibly Please visit our website niagaradogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

Story
Meet Gucci - a gentle, loving soul from Mexico who deserves a second chance at the safe and happy life she's never truly had. Gucci is a beautiful Boxer mix with a soft black-and-white coat and an even softer heart.Gucci has the perfect medium energy level - happy to enjoy playtime and companionship, but also content to relax quietly by your side. Her story is one of survival and hope.Gucci was rescued in Mexico City while pregnant, facing an uncertain future on the streets. The rescuer who first took her in normally helps dogs by spaying and neutering them before returning them back outside to survive on their own. But Gucci's story touched hearts deeply. She is currently being kept safe through temporary boarding that is being personally funded because no one wants to see her returned to the streets again. Now, Gucci urgently needs a forever family - one that will finally show her the stability, safety, and unconditional love she has always deserved. Though she can be a little shy at first, Gucci warms up beautifully once she feels safe. She is incredibly sweet, gentle, and affectionate with people, including children, and she gets along wonderfully with other dogs. In fact, she finds comfort sleeping in her crate beside her best friend Prada, where she feels safe and protected.Gucci is house trained, crate trained, non-destructive, and not much of a barker. She rides calmly in the car while crated and is currently learning leash skills. She would love a home with a yard to stretch her legs, but with patience and love, she could also adjust to apartment living. After everything she has been through, Gucci doesn't need perfection - she just needs someone willing to choose her forever. Someone who will never let her wonder where she belongs again. She has already survived so much. Now she deserves the beautiful life waiting on the other side of rescue. Story
Meet Arwen aka Maggie, a vibrant Boxer/Collie mix who is ready to find her forever family. This high-energy pup is fully house-trained and completely non-destructive inside the home. She is a loyal companion who takes a little time to warm up to new men and women, but she absolutely loves being handled and touched once she builds a bond of trust. Because of her size and enthusiastic energy level, Arwen will do best in a cat-free home with adults or older teenagers aged 16 and up. Arwen is a smart girl who is currently working on perfecting her crate training and car rides. She has excellent food manners with no signs of food aggression and happily eats her standard kibble. While she is generally a quiet dog at home, Arwen does get very excited on walks. She can pull on her leash and will bark or react when she sees other dogs. She can absolutely make new canine friends with slow, proper introductions, but she needs a home with a secure yard and is not suitable for apartment living. Story
Meet Zelda - The Sweetest Go-Getter! Zelda is a friendly, happy-go-lucky Boxer mix from Kentucky who is ready to find her forever home! She came to us after her previous owner was court-ordered to surrender all of his dogs. Zelda arrived alongside her sister Peach, brother Link, and a litter of pups, and she's shown herself to be a loving and adaptable girl ever since. At 66lbs, Zelda is the perfect size for family life. She's great with kids, adults, dogs, and even cats, making her a wonderful addition to almost any home. Zelda enjoys walks on leash, loves a good play session, and thrives in a home with a yard-though she could possibly adapt to apartment living. She's currently housebroken and crate trained, with medium energy and no food aggression, so she's ready to settle in and be a loyal companion. Zelda is affectionate, well-mannered, and simply a joy to be around. She doesn't need a second dog to be happy, but she does love canine friends. Looking for a loving, playful, and adaptable furry friend? Zelda could be the perfect match for your family!
