Story
Amor is the sweetest girl you will ever meet who loves lots of cuddles and is very affectionate. Our volunteers regularly spend time in her room cuddling with her and she truly appreciates it. She also enjoys going for walks with her people and is very playful. Unfortunately she does not get along with other dogs or cats and will need to be the only dog in the home. On her walks she can be reactive to other dogs, but she is learning to walk by them comfortably.

Story
Toovia is a powerhouse! This girl will blow you away with her charm and intelligence. She may look all mighty, but when given the chance to get comfortable, she’ll love all the affection. Toovia is dog aggressive and will need a family able to keep her on a leash at all times and away from other animals. Toovia does not trust people easily. Therefore, she will need an adult-only family in a quiet household, who has the time to introduce her slowly and safely to new people. Toovia would be happiest in a house with a fully fenced backyard where she can safely run around and play!

Story
Hershel is one unique guy! He has many different funny faces that will be sure to keep you smiling! Mr. Hershel was surrendered to us when his owner could no longer care for him and his training needs. From the moment we met Hershel he had a big appetite and a wiggly, happy bum. He is a burst of energy, spunk and is strong! Hershel loves long walks, zooming around the yard and doing tricks for treats. Hershel is quickly learning his leash manners and working on his reactivity. He is looking for someone that will be dedicated to continuing his training and to understand he does best meeting people and dogs with slow and controlled interactions. Hershel is looking for a caregiver that can bring some calmness and routine into his life. He would do best with teens or older as quick moving children can make him reactive. Hershel could potentially dog well with another dog in the home and we would be sure of that through a dog check prior to adoption.

Story
Manx | 8 years old | Boxer mix | 52 lbs | Perfect balance of calm and adventurous | Toronto area Meet Miraculous Manx! Manx was found by a police officer in northern Manitoba, starving and freezing. Thankfully she was sent to a rescuer in Winnipeg, and now she is in our care and absolutely blossoming. As her fosters put it, Manx is a survivor! She inspires her fosters with her deep resilience and eagerness to love. She has a real zest for life, and brings a positive and playful energy to any room she's in. We are so grateful to give this girl a second chance, and she's grateful to have one. Believe us: Every day you get to share with this sweet dog will be special. Here are some things to know about Manx: --She is a calm girl, but loves to play! She loves belly rubs, play wrestling, and her puzzle Kong. She especially loves to do bed zoomies! --She is a people person! Manx is comfortable around both men and women, and is a very social gal. She enjoys visitors because she thrives on attention and companionship. --She enjoys her walks, and walks well on leash. She doesn't pull and pays attention so that she can match her pace to yours. --She loves food, but will wait patiently to eat. --She's a quick learner and very food motivated. She is already working on sit, stay, and lie down, and would benefit from being with someone who wants to continue her training. --She is fully housetrained, and does not need to be crated when left alone. --She is not a barker, but loves to talk! When excited, she will "cheerfully chatter" to let you know she's having fun. --She thinks she is a little lap dog. No matter how small the available couch, she'll decide she's a perfect fit and cuddle on in! Manx is a very special dog, and everyone who has met her responds to her soulful and loving energy. She is a love sponge: she is making up for lost time by soaking up all the love and attention she can get and she gives it back to her people tenfold. Story
PLEASE NOTE ORION IS A DIRECT ADOPTION FROM MEXICO. ONCE ADOPTED HE WILL GO DIRECTLY TO ADOPTER AND IT IS RECOMMENDED HE BE ENROLLED IN TRAINING CLASSES. We at All Paws Matter believe in the benefits of post-adoption training for our dogs and their families. This allows for continued socialization, learning and helps to create a well-mannered and balanced dog. This is now a requirement in our adoption process. Proof of training classes for puppies specifically is required before adoption. NAME: Orion Age: 4 months old Breed: Mexi-Mix Sex: Female Weight: We expect she will grow to medium size (35lb) Location: MEXICO (Everything, including transport is included in adoption fee) Adoption fee: $700.00 Spayed/Neutered: Yes Leash trained: Work in progress House trained: Work in progress Kids/Cats/Dogs: Yes, good with dogs, cats unknown, children 6+ Vetting: Up to date on all vaccination, sterilized, microchipped, 4dx tested: negative for Heart worm. Currently on flea/tick/heart worm prevention, dewormed and vet checked before arriving. Medical Issues: None Comes with 4 weeks free pet insurance (after initial vet visit) A member of our “planet” litter, Neptune is one of 9 puppies who were newborns in our sister rescue’s shelter SOS el Arca in Mexico. Her poor mama was chained to a house and left by her owner. She was very fearful of anyone that would come around her. A neighbour broke the chain but she would not move and wandered the area. All the other neighbours around her didn’t want her there and began to throw stones and beat her. The shelter was told about her and found out she was very pregnant. They needed to trap her immediately, or her babies would surely be killed. They tried many times but she was so scared she would not allow anyone around. Fortunately, she did deliver her babies and there was the opportunity to take the babies so she would follow. Orion is a sweet girl who deserves to be in a beautiful home. The shelter is overwhelmed with puppies right now and we need this beautiful baby to come to us to have a life she deserves not one living in a kennel for months and months. Orion is a happy and playful little girl but she is a typical puppy who is energetic and mischievous, however, with training (mandatory with proof of receipt) she will develop into a beautiful dog. Her potty training has begun and will require work from the adopter, crate training and routine will assist greatly with this. Her ideal home would be one with or without another dog, a fenced in backyard to expend her energy as she gets a little older. Respectful children and someone who works from home, at least part of the day is a must. If you feel you would be the right fit for Orion, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/ All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. They come to adopter with a harness, a collar and two leashes for safety. NOTE: The above description is relevant to this dog in its current and previous setting. Home changes and adopter personalities can bring out different behaviours not previously seen. We also do not claim or suggest that our dogs are hypo-allergenic or that they shed/do not shed. BREED DISCLAIMER: We are never sure of the breed of our dogs since they arrive off the streets or shelters. It is a guess only!

Story
Jackson is looking for an adult only, very experienced home. He was surrendered to us and did not have a stable upbringing, which has caused some behavioural needs. He is very protective of his people and things, which can cause him to lunge and bite. Jackson is very loving to the people he trusts. He's playful, intelligent and goofy. He does well with dogs when given a proper introduction, but can be selective with who he likes. He loves car rides, swimming, and going on adventures. If you have a quiet and private home he may just be the buddy for you.

Moka is a powerhouse ! This big girl takes a lot of time to warm up to new people but when she does she’s the most loyal girl. Moka loves chasing a ball, doing tricks for treats and getting lots of attention. Moka is looking for an adult only home with no other pets. Due to Moka’s behavioural challenges, she will bite strangers and dogs. Moka will need an owner with a spacious living environment in a neighbourhood away from lots of people and dogs. Moka will also need an owner to continue her muzzle training as she is very uncomfortable and aggressive for vetting and grooming. With patience and trust she is getting better with this.

Story
Traye is a handsome, headstrong boy who is always on a mission! He loves to go for walks and check out everything the world has to offer. Traye is selective with other dogs and will need a home with a secure, fully fenced backyard. Traye really bonds with his people and is looking for an adult home who is comfortable with his protective tendencies. When strangers enter his home he will need a separate area to ensure the safety of the person entering the home. This will also give Traye a sense of security and boundaries. He will require slow muzzled introductions to people in his home once he is feeling more comfortable. Introductions outside of the home will help him adjust better before meeting them inside of his home environment. With some guidance and structure, Traye is sure to make the perfect companion.
