Story
Biscuit ended up in a shelter as a stray. She was so happy to be safe in her foster home that she slept for 3 straight days! Our best guess is she is a Boxer/American Pitbull Terrier mix. She is VERY sweet and gentle, and well behaved. She sits for her treats, waits her turn, and takes those treats very gently. She has not exhibited food aggression in her foster home. Biscuit is getting along well with the dogs in her foster home but has chased the family cat. We think a home without cats would be best for her. She is house trained, uses the doggie door, and loves to sit in the sun. She loves all people and just wants them to love her. She gives the best hugs. Biscuit is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. She is approximately 7 years old and weighs 45 lbs. Adoption fee $250.

Story
Buddy came to us as a stray. It was HOT and he was seeking shelter under a big trailer at a local school. When we arrived, he hopped right in the car and slept on soft blankets all the way to the vet. He was hot and exhausted. We know nothing about his past but he did have a microchip from another local rescue who will not take him back. Buddy doesn`t have a foster home, but at dog daycare where he lives, he seems to love the female dogs most or a chill male who won`t push him around. A dog smart owner would be great to help him adjust to life inside a loving home. He seems scared of small children at our adoption events. Given a few days to settle in to a home, which may be his first loving home, he will thrive. Buddy is 3, 45 lb, neuter, vaccines, microchip provided. He needs to see how good life can be!!

Minnie Title: Minnie Loving, Sweet Solo Companion Looking for an Only-Pet Home! My name is Minnie, and I am a beautiful Pitbull, Boxer, and Retriever mix. I am a happy, affectionate girl who absolutely adores humans. I am house-trained, know commands like sit, stay, and lay down, I love playing outside. I have spent the last several years with my loving family. I am looking for a loving home where I can be your one and only pet. I currently live with a senior, small-breed dog. Unfortunately, I am much bigger so when I am startled or corrected by the smaller dog, my reflexes kick in, and I have accidentally hurt her. My family loves me deeply, but we all agree it is no longer safe for the little dog, and it is stressful for me to live with another animal. I have so much love to give, and will make an incredible loyal companion for someone looking for one pet to spoil. If you are looking for a sweet people oriented dog, I promise to fill your life with love and loyalty and protection

Story
Hi, I’m Keaton! I was adopted as a puppy, but sadly, several years later, I found myself back at Pawmetto Lifeline. My previous family didn’t quite understand what I needed as I grew bigger—they kept me outside all the time, and I didn’t get to meet many people or other dogs. Because of that, I can be nervous around strangers and reactive when behind barriers. But once I’m out in the open and get to know you, I’m the sweetest, goofiest, most loving dog you’ll ever meet. The staff here has been so kind, and they believe in me—and I’m starting to believe in myself, too. I’m looking for a calm, quiet home with someone who’s patient and experienced. I didn’t get training in my first home, but I’m eager to learn and bond with someone who’ll show me what love really means. If you can give me the time and space I need to open up, I promise I’ll reward you with endless affection, loyalty, and a one-of-a-kind personality. All I want is a forever family who’ll make me part of their lives—for good this time.My adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?If my bio shows “Spay/Neutered” with a checkmark, I have already been altered; if you do not see this listed, my surgery is still scheduled and a refundable spay/neuter deposit will be required, which will be returned within 10 business days after my procedure is completed. If you`d like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org.Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, you’re welcome to walk in anytime between 10:00am and 5:00pm. Please note that we’re closed for adoptions on Sundays and Mondays.

Story
Hi, my name is Spot!I’m a one-of-a-kind pup here at Pawmetto Lifeline—and I’m looking for a very special person to share my heart with. You see, I’m deaf, which means I experience the world a little differently. Because of that, I need an experienced, patient adopter who understands the importance of structure, boundaries, and clear, consistent communication.I’m super food-motivated (seriously—treats are the way to my heart!), and I’ve got a goofy, loving side that shines when I’m comfortable. But I’ll be honest—I don’t warm up to strangers right away. I need a little time to get to know you and feel safe. Think of it like dating—we need a few visits before I’m ready to commit!I’d do best in a calm, adult-only home with no children and minimal chaos. Once I trust you, I’m incredibly loyal and affectionate. I’m just looking for someone who sees my potential and is willing to go slow with me.If you’re kind, experienced, and up for building a strong bond based on trust and love, I might just be the perfect pup for you. Could you be my person? My adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. If you`d like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org. Adoptions are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Please fill out the online application, and you will be contacted if you are approved and are a good fit for one of our adoptable pets.

Story
Buddy is a sweet and gentle giant. Although short, he is stout. We estimate he is about five years young and very vibrant and affectionate. He likes walks, but not hikes. He’s more of a couch potato. He is very strong, yet calm and easy to handle. He loves young children. Their attention makes him very happy! He can be dog selective as an unaltered male attacked him and injured his eye. It has completely healed and is not painful. His vision is lost in that eye but he still tracks so vets said he was fine to let heal and move forward. It’s part of his charm. He will cuddle on the couch, ride in the car, lay in your lap and sit well for treats. He will make a great companion. He needs a foster to grant him a safe place away from other dogs that don’t like his submissive nature. He is in SC and transport is available.

Story
Lindy is a friendly and affectionate dog who loves people. She exhibits playful energy and enthusiasm, as well as a gentle and cuddly disposition. Lindy loves tug and chasing in the yard and would make a great walking or jogging buddy. While she currently resides in a foster home with other dogs, she is selective in her canine interactions and will do best in a home where she is the only dog. For those seeking a loyal companion who offers both activity and affection, Lindy will make an excellent match. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped. Lindy`s foster mom`s curiosity got the better of her and she had a DNA test done. Lindy is a mix of six breeds, the two most prominent being American Pit Bull Terrier and American Bulldog-check out the results in her photos. She is approximately 2.5 years old and 65 lbs. as of September 2025.

Story
Bella Luna was about to give up hope in a local shelter. Passed by day after day, she thought no one wanted her. She`s free now and ready to find her family! Bella Luna`s foster says she is the best dog he ever fostered. He describes her as a couch potato who loves people, loves to be scratched and loves to follow her person around. She is house trained, doesn`t make noise and is eager for road trips. Bella Luna would prefer a home with no cats and is better with dogs her size or bigger. She is happy hanging out at home or going on an adventure. She really is a great girl and faithful companion. Spay, vaccines, microchip provided. 5 yrs. 48 lb.
