Meet Darlin...at HAA we don't give up on our dogs! This girl has been at our shelter 4 years and 11 months!! How ridiculous is that?! Let me tell you about Darlin. She was found as a stray with a prolapse uterus out on the side of the road. She had to have emergency surgery to save her life. She has recovered from this, she has recovered from heartworms, and lived almost FIVE years in a kennel. She protects her "space" - it's her home. Taken out of her kennel she warms up to people very fast. She has a buddy she plays with - a big Walker hound. She does best with male dogs. She isn't a young pup anymore, so she just likes to hang out with her buddy. This girl needs out of here YESTERDAY! She is a volunteer favorite & looking for a home to call her own.

Meet Daisy! Daisy is a sweet, curious pup who is about 4 months old and weighs around 25 pounds. Her mom is a Boxer, and while we’re not sure about dad, Daisy’s DNA test is in progress, and her lucky adopter will get to see the results! With her brindle spots, long floppy ears, and hound-like charm, Daisy is as adorable as she is unique. This playful girl is full of puppy energy, curious, fun, and sometimes a little clumsy as she learns about the world. She and her two siblings were rescued from an abusive environment by Somebody To The Rescue, and now Daisy is ready for a loving forever home. She’s up to date on her vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. Daisy would love an adopter who can give her the love, patience, and guidance every growing puppy needs as she blossoms into the wonderful dog she’s meant to be. She has shown some food aggression. Meet Kayda - She just showed up at the shelter parking lot one day and "turned herself in". She has survived heartworms and is believed to be healthy. She does have a special need - she cannot be around other dogs. There is nobody she doesn't like (two-legged), but we are yet to find a dog that she can play with. If you are looking for a one and only dog, have a very secure fenced yard, and no need to take her walking, etc. give this girl a chance.

Little Honeycomb was picked up as a stray and never claimed. He is the perfect size little guy to fit into any family. He beat heartworms and is believed to be a healthy fella. Being confined so many hours of every day, he does have some anxiety. It manifests itself in "licking"...he licks his kennel a lot. Outside his kennel he is a sweetheart. He plays with his best friend Lexi and does great. He comes to the office for special treats and lots of pets. He would do best with a fenced yard and a loving family that would make him a family "member". Check this guy out!!
