He ended up in a local shelter and was running out of time, but thanks to some tireless networking, Buddy ended up in our care. He's a compact guy, weighing in at 46 pounds, and already knows basic commands like sit and paw. He is crate and house trained. Buddy loves other dogs, cats, and kids. He would be a wonderful companion to someone who enjoys being outside for walks and hikes. Buddy has gotten the all-clear at the vet, is ready to travel, and would love to find his forever family very soon. We are calling this adorable trio of pups the "Legally Blonde Crew. Bruiser, Elle and Emmett were being given away in a Walmart parking lot in rural TN. Thankfully a very nice couple who has been involved in rescue since moving here from Chicago got them and brought them home so they could get them into rescue. They were born the first of February and are so very sweet and playful. They are perfect mutts. They are getting lots of love while being fully vetted and they will be ready to go to forever homes April 19th. They are already very smart and prefer to wait until they are out of their play area to go potty. They will make great additions to any home ready for a fun, playful puppy. Wana arrived at Horse Creek Wildlife from the animal shelter on September 20, 2023. She is a friendly girl that loves her human friends. She enjoys spending time with our volunteers getting her belly rubbed, and she likes playing with other dogs in our fenced exercise areas. She is full-grown weighing 45 pounds, and we believe she is a Boxer/Hound mix. Wouldn’t you love to give Wana a long life in your loving home? All of our dogs are spayed or neutered and current on all vaccinations. They receive monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention. All of their medical needs are taken care of before they are available for adoption. Our adoption fee is $100.00. Please complete an application, if you have found a dog you are interested in adopting. You can find our application at www.horsecreekwildlife.org/applic.html. Once completed, you can forward it to adoptions@horsecreekwildlife.org or fax it to 731-926-3000. Kim Austin, our adoption facilitator, will be in contact with you as soon as she has an opportunity to review your application. Understand that she has other duties and she will not ignore any interest shown in adopting one of our dogs. An application will need to be approved before a scheduled time to visit our dogs will be set up. It may take up to 48 hours before she returns your call or responds to your email, due to work schedules, holidays and adoption events. We do the very best we can for the dogs we have rescued and do not take the adoption process lightly. Please be patient and understand that we will place our rescued dogs in the very best homes possible and reserve the right to refuse applications.

Although Brownie is a larger dog, he is very patient and loving. He can be energetic and very playful, but never gets rough or overly rowdy with others.
