Story
Walker is a beautiful sweet boy and is looking for his forever home! Walker was a rescue on the reservation, and was the runt of his litter. When he came to his foster home he had never been touched before. He is now learning that people are good, and he loves pets and scratches. He is still very timid, but is thriving! Walker is about 5 months old and will probably grow to be around 40-50 lbs. He loves soft beds and bones and toys to play with. He loves to run and wrestle with his friends. Walker will do best in a home that can be patient and gentle while teaching him how to be a pet. He has only been on a leash a few times, and only taken a few car rides. He will also need to learn basic commands. Walker is house and crate trained. Walker will need another confident dog in his new home that will play with him. Are you the right home for this sweet soul? Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $300. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Story
Whip is the sweetest guy around and is looking for his forever home! He is a stunner with a striking face and a beautiful brindle coat. Whip is around 5 months old and was rescued from a rough neighborhood on the reservation. He is very sweet and loves people, but sometimes has a little stranger danger when new people come over. With a little time (and treats) he warms up quickly. He is friendly with other dogs and loves to run and wrestle with his friends. He loves soft cozy dog beds and bones and toys to play with. He's still learning how to walk on a leash and how much fun it can be to ride in the car. When it's time to eat he gets so excited he will jump in the air and do happy dances. Whip is crate and house trained. Whip will be happiest in a home with a yard to run in and will absolutely need another dog that will play with him. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hey y’all, My name is Dolly Lu and I’m pretty sure I love you already!! I’m a 8 month old Boxer/Pointer X. I weigh about 35lbs and will likely grow to be 45lbs full grown. I’m currently working on leash training, not jumping up when the humans get home (I get so excited) and the last thing, I’m really not proud of, but I should probably be honest if this is going to work.. I have a thing for socks I know, terrible, right? I promise I will get it under control Now moving on, I want y’all to know I’m House trained, doggy door trained, crate trained, I’m good with kiddos (one of my best friends is a 5yr old) &with other dogs, and I’m smart/treat motivated to learn quickly. I’m happy to go on adventures as well as chill out at home. Speaking of adventures, I’ve been going to the farmers markets with my foster mom and it’s been a great experience!! Anywho, I’m not a picky girl, I would love a family who will play with me, snuggle me as I’m thee best cuddle bug and maybe a family that has another doggy sibling to play with. I’m so ready for a place to call home and to build a companionship with my forever family, and if you think that could be you and would like to meet me then please apply to meet me today at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 9, 2023, 7:32 pm

Story
Oreo is a 45 pound sweet Oreo pie pup! WELL not only look like one, he is just as sweet! Oreo loves his car rides as much as he loves to be around his human. He is an almost 3 year old rescue boy who is looking for a family to make his life complete. Oreo is good inside a home and is great around other dogs and people. He is good around small dogs too! Oreo loves everyone that handles him, he would just need extra help on walks. He does great on a gentle leader when out on walks. Don't worry we can even show you how to use one! Oreo's a pro at this leash too! He is a little more reserved when first meeting new dogs, but he warms up well to playful dogs. He can play with playful dogs but he really prefers to be around his human. Meet Oreo here: https://youtu.be/YRj2XuYQwj0 He loves taking long walks and he plays great with people too! When Oreo sees you he will hop around and get really excited. He almost wears a smile on his face! Oreo is great around kids and can cuddle up with the family every night. He is currently in a foster home with another foster pup sibling too! He does great in a home with other dogs! Oreo is crate and potty trained and uses a dog door! He doesn't mind his foster has to work a regular work day because he will just hang out and wait for her to come home. We are willing to test Oreo with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Meet Laika! https://youtu.be/PbqVh7KGJjI See why Meagan loves Laika: https://youtube.com/shorts/MY3yj1W-HMk?feature=share -FRIENDLY AND PLAYFUL - AFFECTION DRIVEN -POTTY TRAINED This ridiculously happy girl is going to be an absolutely BELOVED family member for some lucky home! Laika is approximately 2-3 years old and 59 pounds of smiles! This first time mom found herself alone and pregnant in January when a kind Houstonian took her in. After raising her 9 puppies, Laika is ready for a home of her own! Laika is good with dogs- Our evaluation team had 4 other dogs in the pen with her! Typically during pups' assessment we take it easy and start them out slowly with 1 or 2 dogs. No need to with Laika! She's just a social butterfly!! Laika is good with kids age 8+ and really adores her time with people big and small! Laika is fully Potty trained! She's a bit strong on a leash (so many things to smell!) So she'll need someone willing to help her improve her leash skills so she can comfortably accompany you everywhere you go! No problems with house training but she has a lot of energy so would do best with another dog. Currently fostered in Texas- Laika is hoping to be transport eligible soon June and on her way to the PNW! Don't miss out on this amazing girl! Story
Hey Everyone Mitch here. I am looking for a family of my own! I figure if I tell you a little about me then my forever family will find me. I am a really cool dog! I am very smart and have been taught some great things. I walk really well on a leash and I am learning how to walk next to you and maybe sometimes we can walk together without a leash. I love car rides! I am ready to go on some great adventures. Don't worry I know how to share food so we can pack our snacks and go. I know how to use the water hose so we can garden together too. I am in for a game of catch any time you are up to it or I can play by myself if I have to. Some might say I am a goofball but that's just because I love to have fun. I would love to have siblings. If you have other dogs I am cool with joining the pack. I may be able to teach them a thing or two. Human siblings are great too. They can play ball with me. Hey if its just me and you then that's just more fun, love and treats for me! I am also a cuddler so if you want to grab a pup cup, jump on the couch and watch a movie I am all in. You can choose the movie. I am flexible. I can't wait to meet you and start our adventures together. Peace out! Meet Bentley! **2 years old, 45 pounds and a pittie mix **lower to medium energy. Leash, house and crate trained. **Had hip surgery in June and is making tons of progress. He is still building muscle on that leg, but that doesn't stop him from doing ALL the things **does well and playful with dogs his own size. He has high prey drive so no cats or other small animals in the home. **He has been working around 15+ dogs, of all ages and sizes on a regular basis so we know his favorite kinds of dogs and his least favorite Bentley is a sweet, sensitive soul who is looking for some humans of his own that will give him the time he needs to warm up to people and things in his environment. Once he trusts you, he loves to cuddle. Bentleys past is not truly known, but we do know lots of things about humans make him unsure. But once, he's had time to warm up and feel secure he lays down those pittie snuggles and kisses endlessly.Bentley would love nothing more than a home of his own, love and attention from his humans and someplace he feels safe! Story
Who's the sweetest girl?! Meet Jackie, a 3-year-old pit bull mix and undeniably the sweetest girl! Jackie loves people of all sizes, especially children. She's a gentle and easygoing girl with so much love to give. Jackie came to CAWS from a local shelter where she was a staff favorite. She's a medium energy dog who needs daily exercise - she loves walks and is benefitting from extra practice while on leash, and enjoys a good game of fetch. She also loves swimming and going for rides in the car. Jackie can be a little choosy with her dog friends but can live with medium to large dogs after a proper introduction and time for them to build their friendship. She shouldn't live in a home with small dogs, cats or other animals. Jackie weighs 44 pounds, but could stand to safely gain a few more lbs. She's crate trained and house trained, and eager to find her forever home! Is it yours? If you're interested in Jackie, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200.
