Story
Please do not call/text/email about this pet. We will only consider/respond to those who have applied for this dog on our website. Finn is a COURTESY POST! He was fostered through another rescue that closed down and left his foster high and dry to take care of him and find him a home on his own. His foster reached out to us for help finding him a home that will enroll him in training for some of his behavioral tendencies that were caused by his traumatic past. FINN IS LOOKING FOR A FOSTER AND/OR ADOPTER! Please reach out to us if you are able to foster Finn! Finn is a 3 year old Boxer Mix who was given up at 8 weeks old because he chewed on baby toys. His second family abused him and fractured his spine which later got infected. He loves all kinds of toys, he loves to cuddle, play, and run around acting silly. He loves to learn and can be wonderful with other dogs if introduced properly. He takes treats gently and loves to give kisses once he is introduced properly and warmed up to a new person. He is not the most confident boy because of his past. He has some trust issues and is picky about who he will allow to see his softer side. He will need a home without kids and only with other dogs if they have no behavioral issues. Finn needs a strong willed owner who will give him the time he needs to settle into a new home and the boundaries and structure necessary to keep him feeling secure. Although he comes with some issues, his foster mom has seen that he is loyal, loving, sweet and extremely smart. Give Finn a chance and some training! He is fixed and up-to-date on all shots. He is a sweet dog that loves attention! He need to be the only dog in the household. He gets jealous of other dogs that get attention and can be aggressive when there is too much energy. He is well trained and obedient. He is very smart and is reluctant to follow you when he thinks you’re up to something like trying to give him a bath! He loves walks and only pulls a little bit in the leash. He plays fetch very well. He is a very good eater.

Story
We have a special boy to introduce to the families and couples out there wanting a truly special older pup that is totally trained and waiting to love you to pieces. True Blue Toby is a 10 month old Boxer mix puppy that was found as a stray and not in the best shape.  In fact he looked terrible and we felt so bad for this boy to have suffered for so many months.  Once he came to our care we got to work on clearing up hair loss and getting him healthy from those pesky intestinal worms and putting good weight on him.  Gosh Toby is the best boy with a wonderful personality that embraces everyone with love and the anticipation to become steadfast friends.  Shy at first, this boy has blossomed and is Mr. Outgoing in every way.  He just wants to hang out with his humans and love them with full gratitude for making him such a healthy boy.  Housebroken, crate trained and wonderful with other dogs and cats, he is the truly total package if you are looking for a medium sized dog.  He is going to be a 50 pound adult and what a handsome Boxer mix boy he is turning in to.   Email us at Critter Cavalry Rescue :   ccrnewengland@gmail.com   We know will be glad you considered this boy as your very own. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 23, 2024, 4:30 pm

Story
Sweet Rosie girl was found as a stray. The woman who found her tried desperately to find her owner but to no avail. We believe she was dumped, as it is very common here in the south. The woman brought her here to the rescue and she is doing extremely well with all the dogs and puppies and even like the cats and the children who visit. We believe she is approximately 5 months. She has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and she is also crate trained. She is full of energy and would do very well with a house full of kids! She appears to be a Boxer/Hound mix of some sort, pretty much a Super Mutt! Wouldn't you love to add her to your family? She will be ready for transport by the middle of May PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION! ADOPTION FEE $650

Our pets are physically located and fostered in NC until adopted. Once adopted we can transport to you or meet 1/2 way for the cost of our gas. We are 5 1/2 hrs west of Virginia Beach. Our pets are physically located and fostered in NC until adopted. Once adopted we can transport to you. We have a cost effective transporter that has stops in most north eastern states. Transport runs every 2 weeks. Please note! Don't just apply just because this dog has a cheap adopt fee. You must prove you can afford to adopt regardless! I find that most of the folks who apply for my reduced fee dogs back out when they realize they are still responsible for the transport fee. If this applies to you please don't waste our time! To the VA Beach area we can transport to your location for $200 or we can do halfway for $100. This will cover just my gas with today's high gas prices. You are welcome to drive to us in Mt.Airy, NC to pick up! Scarlett was born 2-1-21. Her mom was a german shepherd golden mix. We are not positive what dad was. Scarlett is active and very loving. She is good with people and ok with other dogs her size. She is too playful for small dogs. She needs a large dog only home. She is not good with cats. She needs an active home with room to run. She would not do well in a cramped up apartment with no exercise. She is house trained and crate trained, This baby will go home spayed and current on vaccinations, deworming, flea preventives, started on heartworm prevention and microchipped. This pup will receive a health certificate issued by our vet prior to going home. The adopter will get all his health records with the adoption. We require a prescreen application to apply. You can get that on our main website at www.saveamuttkennel.net

Meet Meraki! Meraki is such a special lady! She is super quiet, very timid at first but blossoms when she has a doggie friend to hang and play with. We are unsure about cats because she has never met one! Meraki loves her toys, belly rubs and just being near her human and dog friends. Meraki lived her prior life in a pen with not much human contact, only dogs so she will require patience and understanding BUT she is so worth it! If you would like to meet Meraki, please go to our website at k9newlife.org and fill out our online adoption application! * all of our dogs are in individual foster homes so an appointment must be made for a meet and greet
