Hi there, I'm Vega, a 7-year-old, 70-pound, brindle and white boxer. I'm looking for a forever home with someone who can keep up with me and love me unconditionally. I'm an extremely loving, smart and adventurous boy, who enjoys playing, running, and exploring. I'm also very smart and eager to please, especially if you have some treats for me. I'm neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative, so I'm ready to go whenever you are. I have a ton of drive which makes me super fun to work with and my foster mom says I’d be amazing at dog sports of any kind because of how much I like to work. My foster mom can explain more but I need a firm owner who will work me and take me on adventures because I am no couch potato. I am dog selective needing slow intros to other dogs. I should not be around cats or other small animals because of my high prey drive. I do well with kids but best with older kids because of my size and energy. I can be crate reactive and have some barrier frustration, but I’ve been learning to improve my behavior here and am doing so much better. I also need more work on leash training, as I pull hard. Devices like gentle leaders may help me learn how to walk better on leash. I have a lot of love to give. I'm very passionate and loyal to anyone I bond with. I bond quickly and can’t wait to make friends with you! I love being petted and cuddled. I'm a relatively quiet pup, and I calm well when my exercise needs are met. I'm being fostered in Hampton Roads, VA but I can be transported out of state if you're the one for me. So, what do you say? Are you ready to meet your new best friend? I'm waiting for you. MERCEDES - 10+ years old, 45 pounds, house trained, crate trained, friendly, moderate energy   Mercedes is a sweet senior girl looking for a calm, cuddly retirement home.    She was adopted from us a long time ago but has found her way back after her most recent owners had to surrender her due to apartment restrictions.    She is house trained and loves going for walks.   Mercedes has moderate energy so running and playing last only so long. I was happy to see some of that energy when we were together. She ran around the yard jubilantly as if she were a puppy.   Her smile made me smile and it will do the same to you!  Oh, and she was perfect on the leash, too!   Mercedes prefers older kids as she is known to tolerate children along with other dogs and cats. Slow and proper introductions are important for her.   She is crate trained along with being house trained.   Come on in to meet this pretty grey muzzle girl! Former registered ESA (documented) Been a homebody against will thnx to me. Very energetic & laid back when he feels safe. Can be skiddish @ times w a big bark. Windows down car rides to chomp @ cars is his fav>> Needs stern redirection when overstimulated/in unfamiliar scenarios. Protective instincts. Needs work walking on the leash. 0 interest to escape yard w many opportunities. microchipped- full consistent vet hx w last scheduled vaxs missed. Takes benadryl PRN for seasonal skin allergies. Boo is a happy dog. We adopted him when he was about 3 months old and has been with us ever since. He is about a year and a half old. He is energetic but is starting to loose some of that puppy energy. He is crate trained and potty trained. We hate to see him go. We will definitely miss him. He has been around smaller dogs but no children.
