Story
They say there is someone for everyone in this world. And at the Shelter, we like to believe that for our dogs as well. And we cling to that thought for our dogs as it gives us hope. And sometimes, hope is all we have for them.Such is the case with our beloved Odie Cakes. He is an amazing dog - fast, perceptive, adorable, loving and devoted. But, he also is very prey driven. And sometimes, when he gets overexcited, he reacts quickly, without thinking.Odie found a home but the atmosphere was just a bit too much for him. Despite the best efforts of the adopter, he realized he could not slow down the pace of his life enough to calm Odie. The BEST news is that since being back with us, Odie has been fabulous. He loves all the volunteers, he has a pal in our Finn (with just through the fence play) and he greets each day and each person with happiness.Odie's days are very calm and predictable at the Shelter and that's what gives him the calmness and peace he needs. Odie doesn't need constant activities or other dogs - Odie just needs a person who will live life with him in a somewhat boring manner. We know Odie's person is out there somewhere. He is so loved by us all and we want nothing more for him than to live his life in happy home. Please SHARE Odie's story so we can reach as many people as possible - maybe his forever person has been searching for him and just didn't know Odie was waiting at our Shelter!Interested? Come for a visit any day of the week - 365 days a year between 9am - 12pm. Hope to see you soon!PLEASE NOTE: Animal Aid Society observes a 40 mile adoption radius to facilitate post adoption support and follow ups.

Story
Have you ever seen a dog wag her entire body?So full of joy and gratitude, she bends at angles Geometry hasn't even invented yet? It's a wonderful sight! It grabs you by your heart and squeezes out ALL the happy feelings! Every part of you smiles!PLEASE come meet Ella, and experience it for yourself!Ella is a sweet marshmallow of a Boxer Mix with a squishy face and an infinite capacity for love. At about four years old, her family surrendered her to Animal Aid because the kids had grown up, and the parents no longer had time for her. Ella mourned her loss for weeks, gazing out at the parking lot, carrying a toy in her mouth in case they came back to play. But, they didn't come back, and Ella's doing her best to stay positive until her REAL family comes to bring her home forever. Ella is polite, housetrained, walks well on-leash, and is eager to show off her mastery of "sit," and "down." She has short, energetic bursts of play (fetch and tug are her favorites), but then she's beyond happy to lay down and chew on a toy or contemplate a passing butterfly. Ella is a social, friendly girl who's desperately lonely at the shelter. She still greets us every day with her whole-body-wag, but lately, it hasn't been as wiggly. It's a little less bendy. PLEASE come get her before it fades away forever.Visiting hours are 9am to noon daily, including weekends and holidays, no appointment necessary.Interested? Come for a visit any day of the week - 365 days a year between 9am - 12pm. Hope to see you soon!PLEASE NOTE: Animal Aid Society observes a 40 mile adoption radius to facilitate post adoption support and follow ups.

Story
Meet Sheena! Born on January 24th, Sheena and her siblings—Prince, Wendy, Lisa, and Apollonia—came to us from Alabama. Their mother was spayed and remains with her family. Sheena is very smart; she learned to use the dog door and knows basic commands.  Here is what her foster has to say about her: Sheena is very playful. She loves toys of all kinds, cuddling with her people and going on adventures. Sheena will need time to adjust to her new home and their routines. Her future family should understand that pet ownership is a lifelong commitment, involving daily exercise, continuous training, and socialization. Remember, a good puppy is a tired puppy. If you're considering adopting Sheena, we request that you DO NOT CALL us. Instead, please complete an online application on 4 Paws Animal Rescue's website at www.4pawz.org. We verify the care of past/current pets. Our primary goal is to find the best homes for all our dogs and cats. As such, we reserve the right to approve or deny adoption applications based on determining what's in the pet's best interest. #LoveDogsForever #MixedBreed #MixedPuppy #RescuedIsTheBestBreed #Dogs #PuppiesAreACommitment #RescueDog #LoveDogs #Adopt #AdoptDontShop #Puppies

Story
Chubs is an 8 year old pit bull/boxer mix that has been nothing but loving and caring his entire life with me. I have had him for 6 years and he loves play, snuggle, relax and play outside. He is great with people in any environment and very welcoming to strangers he does not know as long as known people are around him. He is best to be a single dog in a household. He is very playful with other dogs and simply doesn’t understand when other dogs dont want to play in a home setting. I have very demanding hours and have been unable to spend the time and love on Chubs these past few years that he deserves. Its with a heavy heart that I decided to go this route but it is what is best for him and I hate seeing him just lounging on the couch, knowing someone with the time can give him the life he deserves. I am not requesting any fees or compensation….. I simply just want to know chubs will be taken care of and if possible given updates here and there on his life.
