Story
Hello, I'm Noelle. I'm a sweet, friendly, and gentle soul. I'm mellow most of the time, but I can be brave when it's needed. I'm pretty smart, too. I love cuddles, and I'm fiercely loyal. My favorite place in the world is right by my human's side. I'm a great companion, and I promise to make your days brighter. I'm not just a pet, I'm a friend, a confidante, a source of joy. I'm here, waiting for my forever home. Will you be the one to give it to me? Adopt me, and I promise to be the best friend you've ever had. This pet is eligible for the PETS FOR PATRIOTS adoption program. Adoption Process If you are ready to meet the pet, please fill out an online adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your internet browser: https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/10666/generic Once your application is submitted, we will contact the vet reference provided. If you do not yet have a vet, please provide three personal references – these could be family and friends who can attest to your pet parenting skills. A volunteer will schedule a phone interview with you. The interview and application help our fosters find their forever home by ensuring a good match.   The Louisa Humane Society does not have a brick and mortar facility, so all of our pets are in foster care. Once approved, the foster parent will reach out to arrange a visit. The foster family can tell you all about her likes, dislikes, and little quirks.  The application and visit do not oblige you to adopt, but if you’re ready to take the pet home as your furry forever friend, her adoption fee is being sponsored by a generous donor! ##2257339##

Hello, I'm Grell, your future best friend. I'm as sweet as honey, and my loyalty knows no bounds. I'm smart too, I can fetch like a champ! You should see me with my toys, I'm unbeatable. Now, about my past, it's quite magical. I used to live in a kingdom of dogs, where I was a knight, protecting my fellow canines with my toy sword. One day, a magical portal opened, and I ended up here. I believe it was fate, guiding me to my forever family. I'm waiting for you, ready to fill your life with joy, love, and a lot of fetch games! Story
I adopted her from the Fredericksburg SPCA about two years ago. She is three years old. She is very lovable and protective over her people, She would be best in a home without any other animals. She will adjust with other animals it just takes a bit of work, I hate to have to give her away I love her so much she is an amazing dog, but due to unfortunate circumstances the place I had for her to go fell through, and I’m in the process of enlisting in Air Force and can be called to ship out any day.

Story
Fran is a sweet and bubbly Boxer mix who lives for treat time! If you love hanging out in the kitchen, she’ll be right by your side, ever hopeful that any bag you grab holds snacks. Her excitement is contagious — though she’s still learning to sit patiently for treats! This gentle girl is slowly coming out of her shell and learning to enjoy cozy time with her dog friends. She’s incredibly submissive and hasn’t met a pup she doesn’t like. When feeling overwhelmed, Fran simply retreats to her safe spot — often her bed or the kitchen. Walks can be a bit scary at first, but once she gets going, she really shines. She’s working on potty training and improving every day. Fran would thrive in a calm home with older kids and, ideally, another dog to help guide her. She came to us unsure of the world, but with love and patience, she’s blossoming into the sweetest companion. Fran is proof that a little kindness goes a long way. Story
Meet Bunny B, a spirited 3-year-old Pit Bull. Bunny B was surrendered along with the other dogs on the property when their owner could no longer properly care for them. Bunny B thrives on walks and loves to zoom around the play yard, showcasing her high-spirited nature and zest for life. She’s always up for a new adventure, and a good walk or romp in the yard is her idea of a perfect day. Her playful energy is contagious, and she loves nothing more than being around people, including children, who she adores. She’s the type of dog who will happily greet everyone with a wagging tail and a big smile. While Bunny B is a social butterfly with people, she can be a bit picky with her dog friends. She’s confident and knows what she likes, which means she might not get along with every dog. It’s important for her to find dog buddies who match her playful yet assertive nature, so patience and careful introductions will help her thrive in a multi-dog home. Bunny B is a smart girl who keeps her kennel clean, but she will need some time and patience to decompress in a new environment. As she adjusts to her new home, she’ll need a caregiver who understands the importance of gentle routines and giving her the space to feel comfortable. With the right guidance, Bunny B will quickly adapt and blossom into the loving, fun companion she’s meant to be. Bunny B was previously spayed. She is Microchipped. We have updated all vaccines including rabies. She has been given a dewormer and started on flea/tick prevention. Story
Looking for a new family member who will make your heart melt? Look no further than Leza! This 8-month-old female Pit Bull may have had a rough start, but she's determined to find a loving and patient home to call her own. Leza and the many other dogs on the property were surrendered to our shelter when their previous owner could no longer care for them properly. But this sweet pup hasn't let her past hold her back. With her adorable smile and curious personality, she's ready to take on the world! Leza is an active and energetic girl who loves to play and explore. She's a constant companion and will make the perfect best friend for someone who's willing to put in the time and effort to work with her. Leza does well with other dogs and kids, but she may need a companion animal to help her feel more comfortable in her new home. She's still learning how to walk on a leash and needs some guidance on household routines, especially potty training. But with patience and love, she's sure to become a well-mannered adult in no time. One thing that makes Leza extra special is her unique smile. An undocumented injury prior to coming to us gave her a slight deformity on her jaw, but it doesn't affect her at all. In fact, it just adds to her charm and makes her smile even more perfect! Leza was previously spayed. She is Microchipped. We have updated all vaccines including rabies. She has been given a dewormer and started on flea/tick prevention. Story
Meet Deacon! This 4-year-old Pit Bull mix came to us as a stray. No one ever came looking for this darling boy! Deacon may be a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly and is full of love. He enjoys running in the play yards, playing, and showing off his "sit" command. Deacon has done well with most dogs he's met and just needs a little patience with potty training since his past is unknown. Deacon has been neutered, microchipped and Heartworm tested. We have updated all vaccines including rabies. She has been given a dewormer and started on flea/tick prevention.
