Story
Buster is a joyful little puppy with an adventurous spirit and a soft heart. He loves exploring, playing, and discovering new things, and he tends to approach life with an easygoing, happy attitude that makes him incredibly lovable. He is the type of puppy who can turn almost anything into a game and who seems genuinely excited to experience the world around him. He enjoys being active and playful, especially with other dogs, and he would likely thrive in a home where he has room to move, play, and continue building confidence. Whether he’s chasing toys, tumbling around with puppy friends, or investigating something new in the yard, Buster brings a fun and cheerful energy with him everywhere he goes. Watch his YouTube video now https://youtu.be/ynS3k8Q21f4?si=EbesVGjX2Rix3UT1 One of the sweetest things about Buster is that underneath all the puppy energy, he has a very affectionate and gentle nature. Once playtime slows down, he enjoys relaxing close to his people and soaking up attention. He loves being included and responds really well to kindness and affection. He’s still young and learning, but he already shows signs of being a very loving companion who bonds closely with the people around him. Buster would do well in a home that is ready for all the normal puppy stages — learning routines, working on training, continuing socialization, and giving him lots of positive experiences as he grows. He would likely enjoy another playful dog companion, but he would also do great as the center of attention in a loving family that wants an active and affectionate puppy to raise. He has such a happy, goofy charm about him, and it’s easy to picture him growing into the kind of dog that becomes everyone’s best friend. Buster is sweet, fun-loving, cuddly, and full of potential. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/69ead1d4ebec3114810daf3b Questions? Story
Meet Delilah! A retired queen who has officially mastered the art of peaceful living. At around 10 years old, this sweet boxer/American Bully mix has absolutely zero interest in drama, chaos, or unnecessary cardio. Delilah’s perfect day consists of finding the coziest possible spot in the house, settling into it like she pays the bills, and occasionally wandering outside to enjoy a little sunshine before returning to her scheduled relaxation time. And honestly? She’s earned it. Delilah has the squishiest little face and the softest, sweetest eyes that always look like she’s about to tell you everything is going to be okay. She’s one of those dogs whose presence just feels comforting. Calm. Easy. Familiar. The type of dog who quietly keeps you company while you read, watch TV, work from home, or nap on the couch beside her. Watch Delilah's video here! https://youtu.be/sa1mk-v8Cw0?si=TT94niqZQy-pv-nr She’s not asking for marathons or nonstop entertainment. She just wants a soft place to land and people who love having a quiet companion nearby. With other dogs, Delilah has truly mastered the art of peaceful coexistence. She lives with multiple dogs in her foster home and does wonderfully as long as everyone respects her space and keeps things calm. She greets dogs politely, has excellent social skills, and honestly prefers to simply coexist rather than actively interact. Think “nice neighbor” more than “party host.” If another dog gets too pushy, jumpy, or overly excited in her face, Delilah will absolutely let them know she’d prefer some personal space — and honestly, fair enough. She gives very appropriate, clear corrections and then immediately moves on with her day like a mature grown woman who has no time for nonsense. She doesn’t hold grudges, she doesn’t create chaos, she just likes respectful roommates. And the cat test? Iconic. They brought the cat into the room, and Delilah basically glanced over, sniffed the air for a second, and then decided it simply was not her business. She turned around and went right back to relaxing. Truly unmatched levels of minding her own business. Because she’s such a low-energy, easygoing girl, Delilah could absolutely do well in an apartment — ideally a quieter one or maybe a first-floor setup since she’s an older lady. But honestly, her DREAM would probably be a peaceful home with a little backyard where she can slowly wander around, sunbathe, and have her own cozy outdoor lounging spot. I can fully picture her with a little cot outside just peacefully supervising the yard like a retired grandma on vacation. She would do best in a calmer home without super rowdy dogs or puppies constantly in her space. A mellow respectful dog companion would be perfectly fine, but she’d also probably be very content as your one-and-only spoiled couch potato. Delilah isn’t trying to be the life of the party anymore. She’s trying to enjoy retirement. And she is exceptionally good at it. 💛 Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Meet Nina – professionally known as Miss Buttered Roll. Nina is estimated to be around 2 years old, and honestly, we're not convinced she's a real dog. She might actually be a stuffed animal that somehow came to life. With her squishy little body, floppy ears, soulful eyes, and the most adorable collection of puppy rolls you've ever seen, Nina is the kind of dog that makes complete strangers stop and say, "Oh my gosh, LOOK at her!" We aren't exactly sure what breeds make up this precious girl. Maybe there's some hound, some boxer, maybe even a little Beagle mixed in there somewhere. Whatever the recipe was, it turned out absolutely perfect. Watch Nina's video here, then come back to read more! https://youtu.be/iAkCztwa3lY?si=UUdR7D_u09EKv68e Nina's foster family is completely obsessed with her, and it's easy to see why. Her foster dad says that all Nina wants in life is to love people and be loved right back. That's it. That's her dream. She doesn't need fame, fortune, or world domination. Just a comfy place to nap and humans to adore. And adore them she does. Nina is what we like to call a "respectful Velcro dog." She wants to be near her people because you're her favorite thing in the entire world, but she also has lovely manners. She'll follow you from room to room, check in to make sure you're okay, and then politely settle nearby while you cook dinner, work on your laptop, or binge-watch your latest TV obsession. Physically, Nina is pure perfection. Her caramel-colored coat is accented by adorable white markings, and her little body is delightfully squishy in all the right places. She has the kind of extra skin and jiggly rolls that make you want to gently squish her cheeks and tell her she's beautiful approximately 47 times a day. When she gets excited, her whole body seems to wiggle independently, creating what can only be described as a full-body happiness ripple. Nina currently lives with multiple other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around. She's playful, social, and likes to join in on the fun. That said, she's also a bit of a self-appointed playground supervisor. If the doggy shenanigans start getting a little too wild, Nina may step in and let everyone know she's keeping an eye on things. Because of this, she tends to do best with thoughtful introductions and dogs who appreciate her leadership style. A calmer dog companion could be a wonderful match, though she'd also be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention as an only dog. On leash, Nina can get very excited when she sees other dogs and may bark or pull because she wants to investigate. Once proper introductions happen, she's much more relaxed. Because of this, we'd prefer a home environment over apartment living where she'd regularly encounter unfamiliar dogs in tight spaces. As for cats, Nina's cat test was inconclusive. She showed curiosity and interest but remained polite and chose to walk away on her own. We'd be happy to arrange additional cat testing for families with feline friends. Nina hasn't been formally kid tested yet, but based on her incredibly affectionate, gentle, people-loving personality, we think she has the potential to be a wonderful family dog. We're happy to complete kid testing for interested adopters to help ensure the best match. The truth is, Nina is one of those dogs that just makes life better. She's funny without trying, sweet without effort, and loving without limits. She's the dog who will greet you like you've been gone for years when you were only outside taking out the trash. The dog who will happily curl up next to you after a long day and remind you that everything is going to be okay. If you've been searching for a best friend with a heart of gold, a face that belongs on a greeting card, and enough squishiness to heal your soul, Nina is waiting to meet you. Apply today and adopt the world's cutest little butter roll. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6a15fa637edb59c3c00888ef Questions? Story
Looking for a professional snuggler who prioritizes quality time over everything else? Meet Mia, the gentle soul who is ready to turn your house into a home filled with warmth and tail wags! Mia is the ultimate people person who lives for cuddles and gentle companionship. She is the kind of dog who would rather lean into you for a scratch behind the ears than chase a tennis ball any day! With her polite manners no jumping here! and her calm, sweet nature, she’s basically a walking hug. Whether you’re looking for a Netflix buddy or a walking partner, Mia is ready to be your right hand girl. Before you keep reading, you have to see this sweet face on camera, watch her video to see those Boxer wiggles for yourself! https://youtu.be/RcBoMioEljY Mia is what we call a Velcro dog in the best way possible; she just wants to be wherever you are. She isn’t one for high intensity toys; instead, she finds her joy in being your shadow, following you from room to room just to make sure you’re okay. She’s a go with the flow girl who is just as happy napping by your feet while you work as she is exploring the neighborhood on a nice, long walk. We think Mia is a darling Boxer mix, and she’s the perfect size for someone looking for a "compact" companion. She’s sturdy enough for adventures but small and manageable enough to take anywhere with ease! Like all of our rescue residents, her breed mix is our best "guesstimate," but her 100% pure-hearted personality is no mystery at all. Mia is currently thriving in her foster home, where she’s showing off her "A+" student skills! She is a total dream on the leash, making outdoor strolls a breeze, and her manners extend to the car, where she is a calm and easy passenger. A social butterfly at heart and a top tier houseguest. Mia definitely understands the assignment! She’s a potty training prodigy with a sparkling "zero accidents" record that would make any rug proud. When it’s time for some "me time," she treats her crate like a five star private spa. She is crate trained and stays perfectly quiet, proving she really knows the value of a peaceful beauty sleep. She’s currently soaking up every ounce of love her foster family can dish out, and she is more than ready to bring her A+ vibes (and her impeccable manners) to a forever home. While Mia is a total social butterfly with humans, she prefers to be the center of your world for now. She’s looking for a home where she can be your one and only four legged friend no doggy daycares or crowded dog parks needed! She’s working on her "meet and greets" with other pups, and her foster is even committed to taking her to classes to help her shine even brighter. For now, she’s ready to be your exclusive solo dog. Is she a fan of feline friends? That’s a secret she hasn’t shared yet! To make sure it’s a perfect match, Mia would love to have a "sleepover" with a kitty to see if they can be best buds, or if she’d prefer a cat free castle to call her own. Mia is the perfect candidate for almost any living situation! Because she is so gentle and walks so well, she could be a star in a cozy apartment or a house with a yard. As long as there is a soft bed (or a spot on the couch next to you) and plenty of forehead kisses, Mia will be happy. Her silly Boxer mix personality and nose to toes sweetness make her a one of a kind find. In short, Mia is a gentle, leash walking pro who just wants to love and be loved in return. She is a low maintenance lady with a high quality heart, ready to settle into her forever home. If you're looking for a best friend with the absolute best smile and a sugary sweet affectionate soul, meet Tango the Tiny Dancer. This boy is the full package: loyal, playful, soooo loving, and a total goofball with the pittie head that’ll make you fall in love at first sight! We believe Tango is a Boxer/Pittie mix around 1 year old and weighs approximately 45 pounds. He has the perfect little compact body and the most handsome face ever. Due to him being a rescue, age and breed are our best guess and cannot be guaranteed. Check out Tango here: https://youtu.be/CS4K0UqmYSs Tango has never met a stranger. He’s the kind of dog who walks into a room and instantly makes everyone feel like they’ve been best friends for years. And if you’ve got treats? Well, buckle up, because you’ve just become the center of his universe. He was not shy giving everyone at the property his undivided attention for a quick round of kisses and puppy tail wags. Treats are the way to this boy’s heart, and he’ll show his appreciation with his signature toothy grin and the happiest tail wag you’ve ever seen. His love for people runs deep. His foster says her favorite thing about him is how he’ll climb into her lap and just gaze at her like she’s the most important person in the world. He is cuddly beyond belief and would absolutely thrive in a home where he can curl up next to you, soaking in all the love you have to give. Tango has lived harmoniously with a full dog squad, four pups in total, and he's been the life of the party. Whether it’s his dominant older foster sister, his high-energy lab buddy, or two playful 1.5-year-old boys. He knows how to read the room and match energy. He plays respectfully, knows when to follow the rules, and can roughhouse with the best of them. He also attends a daycare where he mingles like a pro with a group of 20-30 dogs. His best friends there? A Doberman and another pittie. He really shines around dogs his size or playful puppies who love a good game of chase. He would thrive in a home with another medium energy dog to spend his days with. After a bit of play, Tango knows how to settle down. One of our favorite moments with him was after the crowd cleared and he just hung out with us in a quiet room, relaxed and content, soaking up some one-on-one time. He’ll make a great adventure buddy followed by an evening relaxing on the couch. He walks beautifully on leash and would be the kind of dog you take to the park, patio, or trail and know he’ll be right by your side, smiling the whole way. At home, he’s crate trained and sleeps through the night like a champ. He would do best in a home with a yard to run off his zoomies, and we can easily see him thriving with older, dog-savvy kids who’ll love him as much as he loves them. If there is a certain age that you are curious to know how Tango interacts with, let us know. We will be happy to find out. We want to make sure he is perfect for your family! Cats, however, are not his cup of tea. He’s all about the people and the pups. He doesn’t need much to be happy, just a little space to play, a lap to lean into, and someone to share his big heart with. Tango is the definition of man’s best friend, but really, he’s everyone’s best friend. If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving, treat-motivated cuddle machine with the biggest heart and a head you’ll want to smooch daily, Tango the kissy Dancer is ready to two-step his way right into your life. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
Meet George, a one-year-old goofball with a heart full of love and a body that seems to be powered entirely by joy. George is the kind of puppy who believes the world exists to be loved, kissed, and played with, preferably all at once. From the moment you meet him, he wiggles his whole squishy little body straight into your space, climbs right into your lap, and reminds you that no one is a stranger—just a friend he hasn’t kissed yet. His sweet, goofy puppy smile and endlessly wagging, longgg tail (which functions more like a propeller) make it impossible not to fall for him instantly. George absolutely adores people. He is affectionate, cuddly, and so eager to be part of whatever you’re doing. He would be thrilled to be your shadow, your couch companion, your adventure buddy, and your reason to laugh every single day. Despite his busy puppy energy, he has a soft, loving side and is happiest when he’s close to his humans, soaking up attention and giving out kisses like it’s his full-time job. Watch his video, then you'll officially be in love! https://youtu.be/slAlUsSrZpc?si=DIMvZoA5PTxIgSY2 When George isn’t loving on his people, he is playing—because play is truly his greatest passion in life. He is incredibly dog-friendly and greets every dog the exact same way: an immediate play bow, lots of kisses, and then straight into joyful chaos. Confident dogs, shy dogs, playful dogs, aloof dogs—George loves them all. He is a rough-and-rowdy, pushy puppy player who thrives with dogs that enjoy that style of play. He loves running, chasing games, tug, sharing toys, and even lazy play sessions. One of his most endearing quirks is his signature move of ducking under things like they’re his own personal tunnels, because clearly that’s the more fun route. George currently lives with multiple dogs and does great in a pack, and he would absolutely love having dog siblings in his future home. That said, he also loves his people just as much and could be happy as an only dog if his humans are ready to keep him engaged and active. George is still very much a puppy and comes with all that happy, bouncy energy. He walks beautifully on leash and checks in constantly, turning to you with eye contact when you say “let’s go,” making him a wonderful companion for walks, outings, and adventures. He would be the perfect dog to take everywhere with you, always ready for the next experience as long as he’s by your side. He does live with cats and approaches them with sweet, goofy intentions, but he can be a little too playful at times. He doesn’t want to harm them—he just wants them to play, endlessly, even when they are very clearly done. Because of this, a cat-free home would be ideal. However, we do think he could go into a home with kitty friends. If he were to live with cats, he would need a playful dog companion to redirect his energy, along with cats who have safe spaces to escape and take a break. George loves kids and does well with them, but he is a growing boy with a lot of enthusiasm and can be a bit rough in his excitement. Older kids who can handle his bouncy play and occasional hops of love would be the best fit. He would be an amazing family dog; he’s playful and cuddly, the perfect formula for a kiddo’s best friend! As for his future home, George is an extremely adaptable pup. He could do well in an apartment with an active family or in a home with a yard where he can zoom and burn off some of that puppy energy. Continued training will help him channel all that excitement, but his eagerness to engage and love people makes him a joy to work with. George is, at his core, a silly, affectionate, playful little soul who wants nothing more than to love hard and live life to the fullest. If you’re looking for a dog who will make you laugh, keep you moving, and love you with his entire wiggly body, George is ready to be your best friend. 💙 Ready to welcome this goofball into your life?
