Story
Meet Lokie, a one year old American Pitbull Terrier/Bull Terrier mix weighing 40 pounds.Lokie is a bundle of fun wrapped in a confident, goofy, and loveable pup! This guy loves people and loves attention. He is very enthusiastic about everything he does and loves to go on walks. He is treat motivated and knows the commands `sit` and `down`. Lokie is a bit too interested in the kitties so we are recommending a home without feline companions. This guy has a confident and outgoing personality that will do great in almost any home. He loves to play with toys and chewing on sticks. He has gone on a hike and is did very well, even when other dogs passed by on the trail. We can`t believe this fun, happy boy hasn`t been scooped up yet. This pet is available for adoption at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. Story
Meet Luffie, a three year old American Bull Dog/Staffie mix weighing just over 60 pounds.Luffie was found running around with Scout, they both had collars on that had their name and some information about them on it (such as Luffie have `abandonment issues`) but no owner contact info which was pretty sad. We aren`t sure why they would detail all that information but not include their phone numbers. Luffie is a beefcake and seems to be a very sensitive and sweet boy. He is friendly but a bit unsure and is slowly adjusting to life at the shelter, which is a pretty scary place for a lot of dogs. Luffie is looking for someone to see beyond his muscles and realize what a sweet soul he has. We are determined to find Luffie a forever home that will make him feel so safe and secure he never has to worry about being abandoned or coming to the Humane Society ever again. This pet is available for adoption on 4/10/2025 at 1:00 PM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center.
