Story
Meet Keesha, a three year old Pitbull/Bull Terrier mix weighing around 60 pounds. This sweet and spirited girl has a big heart and an even bigger zest for life! Keesha is a people-loving, tail-wagging bundle of joy who’s always ready to make new friends. At first glance, you’ll notice her adorable chunky build—and trust us, it just adds to her charm! She’s a confident and outgoing pup who loves to zoom around the yard when she gets the zoomies (they’re epic). Whether it’s chasing after a ball in a game of fetch or working on her best “sit” for a tasty treat, Keesha’s always ready for fun. She even will drop the ball for you when you say `drop it`.She’s treat-motivated, which makes training a breeze, and she’s already mastered the basics like `sit.` Keesha’s dream home would be one where she gets plenty of playtime, love, and maybe a few extra snacks here and there (she promises to earn them with her good behavior and silly antics!). Keesha is rather dominant with other dogs she has met so we believe the ideal home for her would be where she can be the only dog. She says with her loving personality you won`t need another dog in your life. Keesha can climb fences so we recommend watching her when she is outside especially if you don`t have a securely fenced backyard with a six foot fence. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and loving companion who will keep you laughing and moving, Keesha is your girl. Story
Meet Cheese – A Spirited Pup with a Whole Lot of Personality!Cheese is a playful, curious 6-month-old Boxer with a heart full of love and endless energy! Originally found abandoned in a hay field, this adventurous pup was adopted but recently returned when he and the resident dog just didn’t see eye to eye.Now back with us, Cheese is ready to find the right forever home—one that understands his playful nature and is excited to continue helping him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. He’s full of silly antics, zoomies, and sweet snuggles once he’s had time to burn off some energy.Cheese would do best in a home where he can be the star of the show or with a well-matched dog friend who enjoys active play. He’ll need continued training and socialization to thrive, but he’s smart, eager, and oh-so-worth it.If you`re looking for a loyal, goofy, and lovable companion, Cheese is ready to melt into your heart. Story
Meet He-Man, a five year old Bull Terrier mix weighing 56 pounds.He-Man came to us with multiple injuries all over his body, after several weeks of healing He-Man is feeling much better and is ready to find his forever home. He-Man is an energetic boy who loves all people. Not the most graceful dog, he makes up for that with boundless enthusiasm. He-Man has met a dog while with us and he is a bit like a bull in a china shop when he meets other dogs, friendly but unable to read the room when the dog has had enough. Due to this we recommend a meet and greet prior to adoption if there are other dogs in the home as they might appreciate him in their business. We recommend doing some Bull Terrier research prior to adoption. This pet is available for adoption on 4/24/2025 at 11:50 AM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854.Did you know YHS lets local community members FOSTER TO ADOPT?That`s where you and the pet make sure you`re a good fit for one another by having a fun sleepover prior to finalizing your adoption.
