Donald came to the shelter as a stray and was very nervous and preferred to hide in his kennel where he felt safe. He has opened up to the staff now and is a gentle giant. Donald loves food and loves having his trusted person around to help him feel safe and encourage his curiosity. Once he feels comfortable, he loves to give hugs and thinks he's lap dog size. He'll also show off and get the zoomies for you around the yard but then come right back for pets and snuggles. Donald takes treats gently and will drop his toys for you - he loves to carry around stuffed animals. Donald prefers another dog who is calm that he can coexist with since high energy dogs make him nervous. This shy guy would gladly give all his love to you for a handful of treats. Hey, Rainy here! I am a pretty, 2-year-old girl that came from a shelter in Upper Peninsula with my brother Scooby in search of a fresh start! We sadly came from a neglectful family and found ourselves homeless. We had been at that shelter for a little while, but unfortunately did not get a whole lot of interest, so it was decided that maybe we should be transferred here to hopefully find a forever home! But we again have found misfortune and neither of us have lucked out on finding a home to call our own yet. We are really trying to not let that get us down, but it is tough. We really do not like shelter life. The dogs overwhelm us, and we find ourselves getting increasingly frustrated the longer we are here, which is really unfortunate because we really are such great dogs! I am smart, treat-motivated, love a good roll in the grass, and would do great in a home with older kids that don't mind a big, strong dog! I have my fair share if energy, but I also would not mind a good cuddle session here and there either! I get along well with my brother, but I have a hard time getting along with any of the dogs here. It definitely could be the environment though, so I may be able to share a home with another dog in the future if it is the right fit. Scooby and I are not a bonded pair, but if you're willing to have twice the fun, we would love to find a forever home in the same place! Think I could be the perfect match for you? I do get mouthy and jumpy when I am overexcited (another thing I could use some work on), so a home with older kids would be best for me in my future home. I get along well with my sister, but I have a hard time being around other dogs, so if I weren't able to go home with Rainy, I would need to be a dog-free home. Hello! My name is Winchester! I am a fun-loving, big, goofy boy that came to the shelter as a stray. I am now in need of a home that will give me the exercise, love, and attention I deserve! I am so sweet with everyone, but I am pretty jumpy and strong, so I would do best in a home that is willing to give me structure, training, and that can handle a big boy like me! I would be okay with kids too, but ideally, they would be older and are used to dogs jumping and possible knocking them over on accident.
