Meet Chico – the best boy you’ve been waiting for!
Chico has been in a loving foster home for a while now, and it’s safe to say he is just the best boy. After a heartbreaking surrender due to sudden housing restrictions, Chico has finally had the chance to decompress, feel safe, and show everyone what a truly wonderful companion he is.
Chico is a 4-year-old mixed-breed with a calm, gentle, and easygoing personality. He’s affectionate without being demanding, quiet, and happiest simply being near his people. He’s short, stocky, and solid at about 50 pounds, but he doesn’t feel large at all — just sturdy and cuddly.
In foster care, Chico has shown how adaptable and easy he is. He gets along beautifully with other dogs, both male and female, and is not dominant at all. He’s very gentle, respectful, and is even learning how to play as his confidence grows. He also does well with cats and is great with kids.
Chico loves to cuddle on the couch and is a total snuggle bug. He’s mellow, sweet, and incredibly loving — the kind of dog who fits seamlessly into a home. He’s potty trained and crate trained, and he’s flexible about sleeping arrangements: he’ll happily sleep in his crate at night, in a dog bed in your room, or snuggled up in bed with you.
He walks nicely on leash, has great manners, and is already neutered and heartworm negative, so he’s ready to move right into his forever home.
Chico is an easygoing, gentle soul who lost his home through no fault of his own and truly deserves the very best. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, low-key companion who will bring warmth and calm into your life, Chico might be your perfect match.
This calm, loving boy is so deserving of a soft place to land and a family to call his own.
