PLEASE READ: If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, please apply online at www.catdogfriendrescue.com. Please do NOT call or send inquiries via Adopt A Pet or PetFinder as we are a small rescue and cannot handle a large influx of inquiries and phone calls. You can email us at acatsfriendinc@gmail.com if you have questions, but if you would like to be considered for adoption, you must fill out an application. Please note if you are applying for a kitten under six months of age, you must have another friendly kitty in the home or adopt another kitten. Additionally, unless otherwise indicted that this animal is a purebred, all of our animals are rescues and the "breed" selection is a best guess based on their apperance as we have no way of knowing their specific breeds.  Out of state adoptions (outside Virginia/DC/Maryland) do require three years of excellent past or current veterinary references. We look forward to hearing from you!  Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter and microchip insertion.  Please note these are not pedigree animals and we have no way of attesting if any of them are hypoallergenic and as such cannot adopt to homes with allergies. ##2512818##

Story
Sally and Tony are a dynamic duo of confident and playful cats, each with their own unique charm.   Tony is a curious boy and an expert climber who thrives on adventure, always seeking out boxes, tunnels, and the highest perches in the house. His love for all things high allows him to survey his kingdom from above, and his playful spirit keeps him entertained as he explores every nook and cranny.   Sally has transformed into a spirited companion who enjoys the company of her people. She loves to jump onto laps, playfully asking for pets while still maintaining her independent streak. Her lively personality shines as she engages in fun activities, often chasing Tony around the house in spirited games of tag, where they dart and dash, bringing joy and excitement to their home.   Rescued from Kuwait, these two share a special bond, relying on each other for companionship while embracing their playful natures. They would thrive in an adult home, where their unique quirks and vibrant personalities can truly shine.   Adoption fee: $300, includes all shots, sterilized, dewormed, deflea, microchip   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. The adoption policies and applications can be found at the following links: https://fancycats.org/adopt-a-cat and https://fancycats.org/adopt-a-dog. Story
This sweet, silly, and "Sassy Man" is looking for a home of his own with no other pets or kids. He's a shy guy with anxiety who would love a pet parent(s) who can relate, and show him patience. He's made HUGE strides, and I know as an only pet he would blossom! He lets me give him kisses on his head now and being OK with getting picked up is what we are currently working on. This obviously former house cat arrived at my door in Nov 2023, emaciated, and wasn't going to make it. I started feeding him, fell in love with him, and brought him inside. Sassafras had perineal urethrostomy surgery in Dec 2024 after a bad feline lower urinary tract disease episode. That, a partial prescription diet, and being separated from my other cats, has resolved his issues. I have 3 cats and he is bullied by one of them. I've "tried it all" and nothing has worked. For his health, I keep him separated, but it breaks my heart and I know he misses sleeping on my bed and being out and about in the house.
